I am writing this in regards to the many that set under this Apostate ministry and there is repentance for them. But the sins of the king will be placed upon those that agree with him and sin separates people from God. Joshua lead the children over into the promise land and and God gave specific rules to follow, As I read this my heart gets heavy and I remember the first time I read this passage, Achan represents all the people that set themselves in a place of authority. Such as we see today, many are called but few are chosen. Achan made a decision to sin against God and take and commit this thing in direct disobedience not only to God but the people of the whole camp. Therefore not only Achan but the people were struck by God because of one mans sin against God. Thirty six men lost their lifes to start with and then the whole tribe was judged. Only Achan committed the sin but he was a part of the whole family, if people align themselves with these men they become a part of their sin and God will judge accordingly.
That is how devastating sin can be in your family the sins of the fathers go down unto the children. Achans whole family and all his possessions died with him ,because of his sin. It is so important to see this, God made monument of the rocks that covered them, to remember his word by. So every one under Achan was put to death. Many people died because of one mans sin. The devil will heap condemnation upon those who have sin in their life's ,and they will be totally ineffective in there work for God. The bible says if your heart condemns you not. And sin will not only destory you but everyone around you. Why is it ,that people hide sin ,God knows everything he sees everything. Because their hearts are under condemnation. Thus the so called church of God the worldly church is of no effect. 2Ti 3:5 ASV - holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore. People that are not sorry have sorrow of the world they go to the altar every time they meet with no results because there is no true repentance.
