A SIGN

Luk 2:11 ASV - for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.
Luk 2:12 ASV - And this [is] the SIGN unto you: Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.

Mat 12:38 ASV - Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we would see a sign from thee.
Mat 12:39 ASV - But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet:
Mat 16:4 ASV - An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of Jonah. And he left them, and departed.
Mar 8:12 ASV - And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.
Luk 11:29 ASV - And when the multitudes were gathering together unto him, he began to say, This generation is an evil generation: it seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah.
Luk 11:30 ASV - For even as Jonah became a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

Isa 9:6 ASV - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Psa 118:26 ASV - Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah: We have blessed you out of the house of Jehovah.
Psa 118:27 ASV - Jehovah is God, and he hath given us light: Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
The light is Christ the Lord, Bind the sacriface with cords His sacriface was to strip the flesh away and expose the very nature of God his father, the cords was the curtain that separates the holy of holies for the people the veil of our flesh.   Exo 34:33 ASV - And when Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.   Looking at the spiritual makes people fearful ,  it is a putting to death of the flesh.  Just as they told Moses we are afraid of the voice of God we are afraid it will kill us .    Deu 5:24 ASV - and ye said, Behold, Jehovah our God hath showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth speak with man, and he liveth.
Deu 5:25 ASV - Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of Jehovah our God any more, then we shall die.   The word of God is his voice to us , and this word will if you obey it , lift the veil of our flesh .  The thing we as children of God must understand everything Jesus accomplished in his time on earth was a sign to us .  Rom 8:13 ASV - for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

   Luk 23:45 ASV - the sun's light failing: and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst  .
 Only once a year was one man to enter in behind the vale to offer up a sacrifice onto God for the sins of the people.  So Jesus became that priest and that sacrifice and he was the sign sent from God to man kind. The number three in the bible is a sign or it means divine perfection . He said as the sign of Jonah three days in the belly of the whale. Or three days in the earth, and than he resurrected to life. Jesus said he had the power to lay down his life and also to take it back up again   Jhn 10:18 ASV - No one taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment received I from my Father.   Hbr 5:7 ASV - Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
Hbr 5:8 ASV - though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered;
Hbr 5:9 ASV - and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;   The SIGN is the very life he lived he has shown us the way to the throne. Unto us a sign was given Christ Jesus.  Remember the rich man and the begger   Luk 16:24 ASV - And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.
Luk 16:25 ASV - But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted and thou art in anguish.
Luk 16:26 ASV - And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that they that would pass from hence to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from thence to us.
Luk 16:27 ASV - And he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house;
Luk 16:28 ASV - for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Luk 16:29 ASV - But Abraham saith, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Luk 16:30 ASV - And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.
Luk 16:31 ASV - And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.    Do you hear what the rich man said He said no Abraham
not the WORD he refused the word and wanted a sign to be sent. And Abraham said if they believe not the WORD they will not believe a sign either. Jesus said the only sign for man kind is the sign of Jonah, Death,burial and resurrection . Romans 6 is the telling of this truth.
He was the word made flesh.  Jhn 1:9 ASV - There was the true light, [even the light] which lighteth every man, coming into the world.
Jhn 1:10 ASV - He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
Jhn 1:11 ASV - He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  Do you see what this is saying ,in the past you were born of the will of your natural father born of his seed. The will of the flesh. So than when Christ comes into you the spirit of truth.    Jhn 1:9 ASV - There was the true light, [even the light] which lighteth every man, coming into the world.  To be really born again is not only to be filled with his spirit but to walk in his spirit. To bear much fruit Col 2:6 ASV - As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk in him,  We have power to become sons of God , sons just like Jesus.   Phl 3:10 ASV - that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;   This is the only way this is the path that John spoke of make your paths straight, he came before Christ to make the way straight. There has to be repentance first. To change ones mind that is repentance. Walking in Christ , The power of his resurrection, the fellowship of his sufferings and lastly being conformed unto his death . The only thing our father is coming back for in the end is his sons his children his bride elect. The fruit of Christ in you the hope of glory. God does not want your flesh he is saving your SOUL . Jam 1:21 ASV - Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.  And the implanted word is  Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:  The mystery is that we lose our life in this earth to gain eternal life in the end.    Jhn 1:14 ASV - And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.  The cross is an instrument of suffering why would Jesus tell us to pick up our cross and follow him. And where was he going that we should follow him.  Jhn 10:27 ASV - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:   You want to hear the voice of God the voice of Jesus , its right hear its in his word. As we read and believe and obey this word we are hearing his voice. And than the word is made flesh in you . The rich man said I do not want the word I want a sign. Jesus said this perverse generation seeks for a sign. Just as Pilate stood in the face of Jesus and said TRUTH WHAT IS TRUTH. Jhn 18:37 ASV - Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Jhn 18:38 ASV - Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find no crime in him.     2Cr 5:14 ASV - For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that one died for all, therefore all died;
2Cr 5:15 ASV - and he died for all, that they that live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who for their sakes died and rose again.
2Cr 5:16 ASV - Wherefore we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know [him so] no more.
2Cr 5:17 ASV - Wherefore if any man is in Christ, [he is] a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.
2Cr 5:18 ASV - But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;   I would like to point out the word Foundation used several times in the word.  Mat 25:34 ASV - Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Luk 6:48 ASV - he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.
Luk 6:49 ASV - But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.      Mat 25-34 the word foundation here is   Greek: katabole

Foundation (To Lay), Founded:
lit., "a casting down," is used

(a)  of  conceiving seed," Hbr 11:11; of "

(b) of "a foundation," as that which is laid down, or in the sense of founding; metaphorically, of "the foundation of the world;" in this respect two phrases are used,

(1) "from the foundation of the world," Mat 25:34 (in the most authentic mss. in 13:35 there is no phrase representing "of the world"); Luk 11:50; Hbr 4:3; 9:26; Rev 13:8; 17:8;

(2) "before the foundation of the world," Jhn 17:24; Eph 1:4; 1Pe 1:20. The latter phrase looks back to the past eternity.

Luke 6-48  Foundation     Greek: themelios | themelion

Foundation (To Lay), Founded:
is properly an adjective denoting "belonging to a foundation" (connected with tithemi, "to place"). It is used

(1) as a noun, with lithos, "a stone," understood, in Luk 6:48, 49; 14:29; Hbr 11:10; Rev 21:14, 19;

(2) as a neuter noun in Act 16:26, and metaphorically,

(a) of "the ministry of the Gospel and the doctrines of the faith," Rom 15:20; 1Cr 3:10, 11, 12; Eph 2:20, where the "of" is not subjective (i.e., consisting of the apostles and prophets), but objective, (i.e., laid by the apostles, etc.); so in 2Ti 2:19, where "the foundation of God" is "the foundation laid by God," -- not the Church (which is not a "foundation"), but Christ Himself, upon whom the saints are built; Hbr 6:1;

(b) "of good works," 1Ti 6:19.

The first foundation is Gods word the whole of all that is in this earth is founded upon the word of God. The sum of thy word is true oh Lord.   Psa 119:160 ASV - The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances [endureth] for ever.
Now the  foundation is Christ the word made flesh and dwelling among us. He was the sower sowing the seed of Gods word. And four times the word was sown in this parable three times in was sown in places it could not bear root or the seed could not bear up because  the root was not deep in the ground , the word. But in the end the sower sows into the good ground the honest heart and it springs up out of the good ground and bears 30,60, even a hundred fold of fruit.  So we see that the word foundation is speaking of the word of God,  of  conceiving seed," Hbr 11:11
God has a perfect plan from the beginning  of time he has had a plan .  Build our house on the foundation of his word. Jesus was the sign of God to us ,
Rom 6:5 ASV - For if we have become united with [him] in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of his resurrection;
Rom 6:6 ASV - knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;
 Rom 6:7 ASV - for he that hath died is justified from sin.
Something to think about Romans the sixth book the sixth chapter and the sixth verse 666 This is the number of Man.  Rev 13:18 ASV - Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six.  Satan uses our flesh as a tool of unrighteousness. But we having died to our flesh we are free from the Law of sin and death. So therefore we as children of God do not have to sin any longer. Contrary to past teachings we will always be a sinner not so !  if you are born again of the spirit of Christ Jesus you are a new creature. 2Cr 5:17 ASV - Wherefore if any man is in Christ, [he is] a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new .  We were born of the loins of Adam children of Adam we were born under his curse of sin. That is why we must be born again, Jhn 3:5 ASV - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!  Water here is the washing water of Gods word  Eph 5:26 ASV - that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
The washing of water is the baptism of repentance John had to come first making Christ way or his path straight.
Mat 3:11 ASV - I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and [in] fire:
Mar 1:4 ASV - John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins.
Luk 24:47 ASV - and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
Luk 13:5 ASV - I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.Repent (to change one's mind or purpose) Its the heart and God knows our hearts.  Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Jhn 3:7 ASV - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.Rom 8:5 ASV - For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 ASV - For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:
Rom 8:7 ASV - because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:
Rom 8:8 ASV - and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
