1Cr 15:47 ASV - The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.
1Cr 15:48 ASV - As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
1Cr 15:49 ASV - And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
 .  And the parables in the old testament confirms so many wonderful truths for us to day . I am reminded of Jericho and how God commanded Joshua to destroy the city and all that was in the city. Jericho is a type of our old man everything that is flesh must be conquered. God said kill everything and burn the city. The old man is an enemy unto God and must be destroyed. And the sin of Achan was what happens when we try to hold on to our idols , our worldly life. Not only Achan and all his family died. But innocent blood was shed because of his lust. Jos 7:13 ASV - Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, There is a devoted thing in the midst of thee, O Israel;  thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the devoted thing from among you.  Sin separates us from God and it says we can not stand before our enemies. The word says they were all cursed because of Achans sin.  Rom 8:2 ASV - For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. What Gods children must understand is that we do not have to sin any longer we are free from the law of sin.   Isa 61:1 ASV - The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to them that are bound;  Now Achan was of the tribe of Judah , I see something here about him being from the tribe of Judah , There is only one savior one Lord the faithful seed from the tribe of Judah . The word says behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Jesus is not only the remission of our sin, he takes away the power of sin over us. Jhn 1:29 We do not have to sin any longer. John 1-29. Achan is our flesh our old man trying to do it our way, trying to save ourselves by our works . God says to kill everything and burn the rest with fire. The wood the hay the stubble And the opposite of Achan is Rahab, because Rahab believed God and his might she acted on what faith she had and trusted the God of Israel more than her flesh.Hbr 11:31 ASV - By faith Rahab the harlot perished not with them that were disobedient, having received the spies with peace.
Jam 2:25 ASV - And in like manner was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?  King  Saul also was vanquished by the very thing he tried to save.   Pro 16:18 ASV - Pride [goeth] before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.  When I read a word such a this I take it to heart ,its not for some one else its for me to feed on and meditate on. When you read this, whose eyes have you read it with. The first thing we do is picture some one else in our mind and say oh they really needs this word, yes they really do!.   Jhn 3:27 ASV - John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.  Is God sovereign and his word true,  1Cr 3:11 ASV - For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Cr 3:12 ASV - But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;

The scarlet cord or thread saved the spies from certain death, The scarlet is a type of what the blood has done for us that believe, Eph 2:13 ASV - But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.  The cord is the power to save ,the grace to overcome any obstacle. And the window Rahab tied it in is for the light of Gods word to come in and shine in our hearts and lead the way home. It saved the spies and it saved Rahab and it has the power to save us.    Jhn 6:51 ASV - I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.  I see friends God has given you your second wind , endurance to FINISH !   Jud 1:20 ASV - But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jud 1:21 ASV - keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jud 1:23 ASV - and some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Pro 4:23 ASV - Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.
