Hbr 12:27-28 Wherefore, Receiving A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken
RECONCILIATION
2Cr 5:18 ASV - But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Cr 5:19 ASV - to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Greek: katallasso
Reconcile, Reconciliation:
properly denotes "to change, exchange" (especially of money); hence, of persons, "to change from enmity to friendship, to reconcile." With regard to the relationship between God and man, the use of this and connected words shows that primarily "reconciliation" is what God accomplishes, exercising His grace towards sinful man on the ground of the death of Christ in propitiatory sacrifice under the judgment due to sin, 2Cr 5:19, where both the verb and the noun are used (cp. No. 2, in Col 1:21). By reason of this men in their sinful condition and alienation from God are invited to be "reconciled" to Him; that is to say, to change their attitude, and accept the provision God had made, whereby their sins can be remitted and they themselves be justified in His sight in Christ.
1Ti 2:5 ASV - For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men, [himself] man, Christ Jesus,
1Ti 2:6 ASV - who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony [to be borne] in its own times;
Greek: lutron
Ransom:
"a means of loosing" (from luo, "to loose"), occurs frequently in the Sept., where it is always used to signify "equivalence." Thus it is used of the "ransom" for a life, e.g., Exd 21:30, of the redemption price of a slave, e.g., Lev 19:20, of land, Lev 25:24, of the price of a captive, Isa 45:13. In the NT it occurs in Mat 20:28; Mar 10:45, where it is used of Christ's gift of Himself as "a ransom for many." Some interpreters have regarded the "ransom" price as being paid to Satan; others, to an impersonal power such as death, or evil, or "that ultimate necessity which has made the whole course of things what it has been." Such ideas are largely conjectural, the result of an attempt to press the details of certain Old Testament illustrations beyond the actual statements of New Testament doctrines.
That Christ gave up His life in expiatory sacrifice under God's judgment upon sin and thus provided a "ransom" whereby those who receive Him on this ground obtain deliverance from the penalty due to sin, is what Scripture teaches. What the Lord states in the two passages mentioned involves this essential character of His death. In these passages the preposition is anti, which has a vicarious significance, indicating that the "ransom" holds good for those who, accepting it as such, no longer remain in death since Christ suffered death in their stead. The change of preposition in 1Ti 2:6, where the word antilutron, a substitutionary "ransom," is used, is significant. There the preposition is huper, "on behalf of," and the statement is made that He "gave Himself a ransom for all," indicating that the "ransom" was provisionally universal, while being of a vicarious character. Thus the three passages consistently show that while the provision was universal, for Christ died for all men, yet it is actual for those only who accept God's conditions, and who are described in the Gospel statements as "the many." The giving of His life was the giving of His entire person, and while His death under Divine judgment was alone expiatory, it cannot be dissociated from the character of His life which, being sinless, gave virtue to His death and was a testimony to the fact that His death must be of a vicarious nature.
Dictionary of
Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality.[note 1] Many religions have narratives, symbols, and sacred histories that are intended to explain the meaning of life and/or to explain the origin of life or the Universe. From their beliefs about the cosmos and human nature, they tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world.[
Jam 1:27 ASV - Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Religion: Greek: threseia
signifies "religion" in its external aspect (akin to threskos, see below), "religious worship," especially the ceremonial service of "religion;" it is used of the "religion" of the Jews, Act 26:5; of the "worshiping" of angels, Col 2:18, which they themselves repudiate (Rev 22:8, 9); "there was an officious parade of humility in selecting these lower beings as intercessors rather than appealing directly to the Throne of Grace" (Lightfoot); in Jam 1:26, 27 the writer purposely uses the word to set in contrast that which is unreal and deceptive, and the "pure religion" which consists in visiting "the fatherless and widows in their affliction," and in keeping oneself "unspotted from the world." He is "not herein affirming . . . these offices to be the sum total, nor yet the great essentials, of true religion, but declares them to be the body, the threskeia, of which godliness, or the love of God, is the informing soul" (Trench).
The dictionary says there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world. And as we read the worlds meaning and the Greek meaning of religion there is quite a contrast. But I see no where in the word of God where we are instructed to be religious. Religion is an outward sign as to some belief. Whether good or bad it is still religion . One Lord one Faith and one baptism .
My question to you is how do you know God at this moment ? what is your answer to whom ever ask what is the reason of your hope. Jesus said Jhn 14:3 ASV - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. He is speaking of his death of the cross and knowing he will resurrect to newness of life . Concerning prophecy about him. Now he says I come again , and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also . Now he is speaking about the infilling of the spirit of God this is the experience I was referring to when I ask how do you know God . Jhn 16:13 ASV - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, [these] shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come. Jhn 14:16 ASV - And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever,
Jhn 14:17 ASV - [even] the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.
Jhn 14:18 ASV - I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you. 1Cr 2:14 ASV - Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged. Religion is an outward sign of a man made God.
Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality.[note 1] Many religions have narratives, symbols, and sacred histories . Religion ? you do not need faith to practice religion, it is about flesh and the natural five senses of man. If they can not smell it or taste it or touch it and see it they do not believe it.
Hbr 11:6 ASV - And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing [unto him]; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.
Jhn 14:4 ASV - And whither I go, ye know the way.
Jhn 14:5 ASV - Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?
Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Where I am going you know the way and the only way unto God is through Christ. Those that are looking for God here is the answer The word Way Greek: hodos
Highway, Highwayside:
"a way, path, road," is rendered "highways" in Mat 22:10; Luk 14:23; in Mar 10:46, RV, "way side," AV, "highway side;" in Mat 22:9, the word is used with diexodoi ("ways out through"), and the phrase is rightly rendered in the RV, "the partings of the highways" (i.e., the crossroads), AV, "the highways."
The prophecy below is a very sobering word from God every valley filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought low. There will be no excuse in that day of judgement. All flesh shall see the salvation of God it is Christ in you the hope of glory. Make your paths straight Mar 9:1 ASV - And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There are some here of them that stand [by], who shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God come with power. The kingdom of God is with in you Christ in you the hope of glory. Luk 17:20 ASV - And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: You can see religion today in pomp and pageantry all the signs and symbols, man loves the idols and the statues. They bow down and worship them . They are the wood hay and stubble . 1Cr 3:11 ASV - For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Cr 3:12 ASV - But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Cr 3:13 ASV - each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man's work of what sort it is.
1Cr 3:14 ASV - If any man's work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward.
1Cr 3:15 ASV - If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.
1Cr 3:16 ASV - Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Luk 17:21 ASV - neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.
The desciples with him at that moment were also the same desciples in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. And were filled with the spirit of God and saw the kingdom come unto them it is Christ in you. The kingdom of God is being formed now as we speak and it is being form in you by Gods spirit. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruit . Mat 7:16 ASV - By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:20 ASV - Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
1Jo 4:1 ASV - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jo 4:2 ASV - Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jo 4:3 ASV - and every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the [spirit] of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already.
1Jo 4:4 ASV - Ye are of God, [my] little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
1Jo 4:5 ASV - They are of the world: therefore speak they [as] of the world, and the world heareth them. Jesus said tear down this temple speaking of his body and I will rebuild it in three days.
He said this evil generation seeks a sign , the only sign will be the sign of Jonah.
Hbr 10:16 ASV - This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their mind also will I write them; [then saith he,]
God was not in the temple any longer he was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. And when Christ came out of the grave he resurrected the house of God. He said if you crucify me( tear down this temple) I will draw all men unto me. God restored his Church through Christ in three days , with his death ,burial and resurrection. So we confess now that Christ has come in the flesh he has come in your flesh and every man and woman that believes in him. On the day of Pentecost he confirmed this word to his people. And every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God
Luk 13:35 ASV - Behold, your house is left unto you [desolate]: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. One Lord one faith and One Baptism. Eph 4:7 ASV - But unto each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Eph 4:8 ASV - Wherefore he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men.
Eph 4:9 ASV - (Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
Eph 4:10 ASV - He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Eph 4:11 ASV - And he gave some [to be] apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 ASV - for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 ASV - till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
If men deny the gifts of God to his church than so to will be the verse of scripture to them that believe not , Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. Desolate in the Greek with reference to persons, "deserted," desolate, deprived of the friends and kindred, e.g., of a woman deserted by a husband, Gal 4:2. ; so of a city, as Jerusalem, Mat 23:38; or uninhabited places, "desert," e.g., Mat 14:13, 15; Act 8:26; in Mar 1:35, RV, "desert," for AV, "solitary."
See DESOLATE, WILDERNESS.
A woman deserted by a husband ! remember the ten virgins five were wise and five were foolish. Christ is coming for his bride for he is the Bridegroom .
Luk 8:10 ASV - And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.
Luk 3:4 ASV - as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight.
Luk 3:5 ASV - Every valley shall be filled, And every mountain and hill shall be brought low; And the crooked shall become straight, And the rough ways smooth;

Act 17:26 ASV - and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined [their] appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;
Act 17:27 ASV - that they should seek God, if haply they might feel after him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us:
