The Many And The Few

Mat 22:14 ASV - For many are called, but few chosen.

Jhn 14:3 ASV - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.   Jesus was speaking of his death on the cross and his Resurrection. He took the keys of hell and death and his resurrection was extended unto all that believe IN his name. And he says I will come again and receive you unto myself, to the world it says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, not just to the disciples but to every one to the ends of the earth all that will believed.    Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:                  Luk 24:7 ASV - saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Mat 16:21 ASV - From that time began Jesus to show unto his disciples, that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.
Mat 16:24 ASV - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 ASV - For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Mat 16:26 ASV - For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?  Jesus was the pattern son the exact image of God , everything that Jesus spoke and accomplished was exactly what we will do.   How is it than he says to pick up YOUR cross do we have a cross also ? Jesus says we do  If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.   For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.
The word says that when Noah entered into the Ark a place of safety and Jesus is our Ark , it says
Hbr 11:7 ASV - By faith Noah, being warned of God concerning things not seen as yet, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.   Rom 12:1 ASV - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The only way we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds is this glorious word of God.
James says     Jam 1:21 ASV - Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.  And the implanted word is    Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:   It is Christ in you ! and until you are filled with the Holy Spirit you can not know what is the mystery of Gods word, he is reveling his word even as you read this today.  Let your hunger be filled today ! ask the father to fill you with his spirit .     Just as the days of the disciples in the book of Acts there is a defining moment here an experience to have here and they all spoke with tongues .  Why do men fight against these things concerning the mystery of  righteousness.    God dwells in the hearts of his people , Jesus said tear this building down speaking of his body and I will rebuild it in three days and he did by his resurrection.  The stone and brick structures of that day was finished God was building a new church a new temple and that is the body of his believers.  Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.    That is why Jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again , the old man must die the carnal life must cease and the life of Jesus through the Holy Spirit made alive in you the hope of glory.     Gal 2:20 ASV - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.     The word crucified in the   Greek: sustauroo

Cross, Crucify:
"to crucify with" (su, "for," sun, "with"), is used

(a) of actual "crucifixion" in company with another, Mat 27:44; Mar 15:32; Jhn 19:32

(b) metaphorically, of spiritual identification with Christ in His death, Rom 6:6; Gal 2:20.
Rom 8:13 ASV - for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.    It is all about Gods grace and grace is benefits every benefit necessary to complete this walk . God has never intended for you to save yourself , not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his MERCY he has saved us.  The new church the body of believers after three days Jesus resurrected the new church and he gave to all that believed the right to become children of God.    Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
We also must come to a place in our life where we die to self and bury ourselves in water baptism and than rise to newness of life receiving the power of the Holy Ghost to walk and to live that holy life through Gods grace. Jesus said you know the way my friends ,  I am the way the truth and the LIFE.

Jhn 14:4 ASV - And whither I go, ye know the way.
Jhn 14:5 ASV - Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?
Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

  The Way          Greek: hodos

Highway, Highwayside:
"a way, path, road," is rendered "highways" in Mat 22:10; Luk 14:23; in Mar 10:46, RV, "way side," AV, "highway side;" in Mat 22:9, the word is used with diexodoi ("ways out through"), and the phrase is rightly rendered in the RV, "the partings of the highways" (i.e., the crossroads), AV, "the highways."
Col 2:6 ASV - As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,

Amo 3:3 ASV - Shall two walk together, except they have agreed?

Confess   Greek: homologeo

Confess, Confession:
lit., "to speak the same thing" (homos, "same," lego, "to speak"), "to assent, accord, agree with," denotes,   To speak the word of God by faith and walk in that faith ,  by walking in this word we agree that it is life to those that believe .
Mat 10:32 ASV - Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.   If we walk in his word have faith to believe his promises , and speak this word to others by faith. Than we walk with Jesus and he is our Lord and he will acknowledge us by our faith.
Luk 12:8 ASV - And I say unto you, Every one who shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Hbr 12:22 ASV - but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,

  The Truth        Greek: aletheia

True, Truly, Truth:
"truth," is used

(a) objectively, signifying "the reality lying at the basis of an appearance; the manifested, veritable essence of a matter" (Cremer), e.g., Rom 9:1; 2Cr 11:10; especially of Christian doctrine, e.g., Gal 2:5, where "the truth of the Gospel" denotes the "true" teaching of the Gospel, in contrast to perversions of it; Rom 1:25, where "the truth of God" may be "the truth concerning God" or "God whose existence is a verity;" but in Rom 15:8 "the truth of God" is indicative of His faithfulness in the fulfillment of His promises as exhibited in Christ; the word has an absolute force in Jhn 14:6; 17:17; 18:37, 38; in Eph 4:21, where the RV, "even as truth is in Jesus," gives the correct rendering, the meaning is not merely ethical "truth," but "truth" in all its fullness and scope, as embodied in Him; He was the perfect expression of the truth; this is virtually equivalent to His statement in Jhn 14:6;

   The Life  Greek: zoe

Life, Living, Lifetime, Life-Giving:
(Eng., "zoo," "zoology") is used in the NT "of life as a principle, life in the absolute sense, life as God has it, that which the Father has in Himself, and which He gave to the Incarnate Son to have in Himself, Jhn 5:26, and which the Son manifested in the world, 1Jo 1:2. From this life man has become alienated in consequence of the Fall, Eph 4:18, and of this life men become partakers through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Jhn 3:15, who becomes its Author to all such as trust in Him, Act 3:15, and who is therefore said to be 'the life' of the believer, Col 3:4, for the life that He gives He maintains, Jhn 6:35, 63. Eternal life is the present actual possession of the believer because of his relationship with Christ, Jhn 5:24; 1Jo 3:14, and that it will one day extend its domain to the sphere of the body is assured by the Resurrection of Christ, 2Cr 5:4; 2Ti 1:10. This life is not merely a principle of power and mobility, however, for it has moral associations which are inseparable from it, as of holiness and righteousness. Death and sin, life and holiness, are frequently contrasted in the Scriptures.

"Zoe is also used of that which is the common possession of all animals and men by nature, Act 17:25; 1Jo 5:16, and of the present sojourn of man upon the earth with reference to its duration, Luk 16:25; 1Cr 15:19; 1Ti 4:8; 1Pe 3:10. 'This life' is a term equivalent to 'the gospel,' 'the faith,' 'Christianity,' Act 5:20."*

Death came through sin, Rom 5:12, which is rebellion against God. Sin thus involved the forfeiting of the "life." "The life of the flesh is in the blood," Lev 17:11. Therefore the impartation of "life" to the sinner must be by a death caused by the shedding of that element which is the life of the flesh. "It is the blood that maketh atonement by reason of the life" (id., RV). The separation from God caused by the forfeiting of the "life" could be removed only by a sacrifice in which the victim and the offerer became identified. This which was appointed in the typical offerings in Israel received its full accomplishment in the voluntary sacrifice of Christ. The shedding of the blood in the language of Scripture involves the taking or the giving of the "life." Since Christ had no sins of his own to die for, His death was voluntary and vicarious, Jhn 10:15 with Isa 53:5, 10, 12; 2Cr 5:21. In His sacrifice He endured the Divine judgment due to man's sin. By this means the believer becomes identified with Him in His deathless "life," through His resurrection, and enjoys conscious and eternal fellowship with God.

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN ,  HOW IS A MAN BORN AGAIN ?

Act 2:36 ASV - Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
Act 2:37 ASV - Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 ASV - And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:39 ASV - For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.  Repent to turn from your sin/ having a change of mind   This promise is to you my friend and this is the mystery being reveled today.  It is Christ in you the hope of being resurrected to newness of life.  Jesus said you know the way he is the only way unto the father .  Jhn 10:7 ASV - Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Jhn 10:8 ASV - All that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Jhn 10:9 ASV - I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture.
Jhn 10:10 ASV - The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Jhn 10:11 ASV - I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.
Luk 4:18 ASV - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19 ASV - To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luk 4:20 ASV - And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luk 4:21 ASV - And he began to say unto them, To-day hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
All that came before me are thieves and robbers ,  at the moment the moment of reading Isaiah 61 it was the fulfilling of that prophecy not only to the Jew but to the gentile also he Jesus is the fulfilling of the law.  He is our grace !  He is Lord of our sabbath every day.

The Kingdom Of God is Within You

Luk 17:20 ASV - And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 ASV - neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

Isles in the Hebrew         coast, island, shore, region    Jhn 3:16 ASV - For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Isa 49:1 ASV - Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples, from far: Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name:
Luk 13:35 ASV - Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.   Recognizing that the word Name here is Onoma in the Greek and shem in the Heb ,   Jesus said he came in his fathers name which is the Authority and the Character and the very Nautre of God himself .  Jhn 10:30 ASV - I and the Father are one.     Jhn 14:9 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?  Jesus said I and the father are one he who has the son has the father also.

Isa 49:2 ASV - and he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me: and he hath made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he kept me close:
Hbr 4:12 ASV - For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Jhn 1:1 ASV - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
A polished shaft in the Heb  to purify to polish arrows  to purify oneself to show oneself pure, just, kind
Isa 49:3 ASV - and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Rom 11:26 ASV - and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 ASV - And this is my covenant unto them, When I shall take away their sins.
Rom 2:28 ASV - For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 ASV - but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Jhn 1:14 ASV - And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.   It says Born of God , Born again
but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart. So all Israel shall be saved .
There is a latter rain coming in these last days an out pouring of Gods spirit .  God is calling those that will obey his word and live according to the true word the Gospel preached in that day.  It says  But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God.   The days are getting darker with evil and the son of perdition is on the threshold .   Only the righteous will be saved
Hbr 12:14 ASV - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:  Santification in the  Greek: hagiasmos

Holiness, Holy, Holily:
translated "holiness" in the AV of Rom 6:19, 22; 1Th 4:7; 1Ti 2:15; Hbr 12:14, is always rendered "sanctification" in the RV. It signifies

(a) separation to God, 1Cr 1:30; 2Th 2:13; 1Pe 1:2;

(b) the resultant state, the conduct befitting those so separated, 1Th 4:3, 4, 7, and the four other places mentioned above. "Sanctification" is thus the state predetermined by God for believers, into which in grace He calls them, and in which they begin their Christian course and so pursue it. Hence they are called "saints" (hagioi).
See SANCTIFICATION.   Seperate yourself's unto God The bible says we are all saved by Grace and that is a gift of Faith , grace means benefits by faith we receive all of Gods promises. With out faith it is  impossible  to please the father.  The word of God is with out power unless you mix faith with it . To believe and not doubt Jesus said .  You must seperate youself from this evil generation ,
Rom 12:1 ASV - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.  Your bodies is your old man the carnal flesh , Rom 8:4 ASV - that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:5 ASV - For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 ASV - For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:
Rom 8:8 ASV - and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 ASV - But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  To be fashioned to this world is to be like those in the days of Noah ,  it says they knew not when the flood came and perished in their sin.  Now the word transformed is another word , and it is that word where if you mix faith with it there is the benifit of everlasting life .   Transformed    Greek: metamorphoo
of believers, Rom 12:2, "be ye transformed," the obligation being to undergo a complete change which, under the power of God, will find expression in character and conduct; morphe lays stress on the inward change, schema (see the preceding verb in that verse, suschematizo) lays stress on the outward (see FASHION, No. 3, FORM, No. 2); the present continuous tenses indicate a process; 2Cr 3:18 describes believers as being "transformed (RV) into the same image" (i.e., of Christ in all His moral excellencies), the change being effected by the Holy Spirit.
2Cr 4:4 ASV - in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.
1Cr 13:12 ASV - For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.
2Cr 3:18 ASV - But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.
Jam 1:23 ASV - For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:    Here again is the Word of God being received with faith , we hear it and we act upon it.   Rom 10:17 ASV - So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
There is the letter of the word and than there is the spirit of Gods word     Rom 2:29 ASV - but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
2Cr 3:6 ASV - who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Hbr 4:2 ASV - For indeed we have had good tidings preached unto us, even as also they: but the word of hearing did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with them that heard.   The letter killeth
Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jhn 10:7 ASV - Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Jhn 10:9 ASV - I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture.
Luk 16:31 ASV - And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
Luk 24:44 ASV - And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.
Luk 24:27 ASV - And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
As we read the verses in Isaiah 49    we are seeing the son of God, we are hearing the prophecy of Jesus being foretold      .2Pe 1:19 ASV - And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:
Jhn 3:20 ASV - For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.
Jhn 3:21 ASV - But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.
Jhn 1:9 ASV - There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.
Jhn 1:10 ASV - He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
It is Christ in you he is you hope of everlasting life he is that image that we will be transformed into , the fruit of the spirit is the very nature of Christ and he is the pattern son. The father sent his son into the world to show us the way unto perfection.  As you have received Christ Jesus so walk in him the flesh profits nothing it is the spirit that gives life. Everything that Christ was in this word is what we shall be ! sons of God.     1Cr 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.   Only children of the king inherit the Kingdom,  Your father is calling be ye reconciled unto God through the precious blood of the  LAMB !
