The Many And The Few

Mat 22:14 ASV - For many are called, but few chosen.

Jhn 14:3 ASV - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.   Jesus was speaking of his death on the cross and his Resurrection. He took the keys of hell and death and his resurrection was extended unto all that believe IN his name. And he says I will come again and receive you unto myself, to the world it says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, not just to the disciples but to every one to the ends of the earth all that will believed.    Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:                  Luk 24:7 ASV - saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Mat 16:21 ASV - From that time began Jesus to show unto his disciples, that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.
Mat 16:24 ASV - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 ASV - For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Mat 16:26 ASV - For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?  Jesus was the pattern son the exact image of God , everything that Jesus spoke and accomplished was exactly what we will do.   How is it than he says to pick up YOUR cross do we have a cross also ? Jesus says we do  If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.   For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.
The word says that when Noah entered into the Ark a place of safety and Jesus is our Ark , it says
Hbr 11:7 ASV - By faith Noah, being warned of God concerning things not seen as yet, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.   Rom 12:1 ASV - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The only way we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds is this glorious word of God.
James says     Jam 1:21 ASV - Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.  And the implanted word is    Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:   It is Christ in you ! and until you are filled with the Holy Spirit you can not know what is the mystery of Gods word, he is reveling his word even as you read this today.  Let your hunger be filled today ! ask the father to fill you with his spirit .     Just as the days of the disciples in the book of Acts there is a defining moment here an experience to have here and they all spoke with tongues .  Why do men fight against these things concerning the mystery of  righteousness.    God dwells in the hearts of his people , Jesus said tear this building down speaking of his body and I will rebuild it in three days and he did by his resurrection.  The stone and brick structures of that day was finished God was building a new church a new temple and that is the body of his believers.  Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.    That is why Jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again , the old man must die the carnal life must cease and the life of Jesus through the Holy Spirit made alive in you the hope of glory.     Gal 2:20 ASV - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.     The word crucified in the   Greek: sustauroo

Cross, Crucify:
"to crucify with" (su, "for," sun, "with"), is used

(a) of actual "crucifixion" in company with another, Mat 27:44; Mar 15:32; Jhn 19:32

(b) metaphorically, of spiritual identification with Christ in His death, Rom 6:6; Gal 2:20.
Rom 8:13 ASV - for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.    It is all about Gods grace and grace is benefits every benefit necessary to complete this walk . God has never intended for you to save yourself , not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his MERCY he has saved us.  The new church the body of believers after three days Jesus resurrected the new church and he gave to all that believed the right to become children of God.    Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
We also must come to a place in our life where we die to self and bury ourselves in water baptism and than rise to newness of life receiving the power of the Holy Ghost to walk and to live that holy life through Gods grace. Jesus said you know the way my friends ,  I am the way the truth and the LIFE.

Jhn 14:4 ASV - And whither I go, ye know the way.
Jhn 14:5 ASV - Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?
Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

  The Way          Greek: hodos

Highway, Highwayside:
"a way, path, road," is rendered "highways" in Mat 22:10; Luk 14:23; in Mar 10:46, RV, "way side," AV, "highway side;" in Mat 22:9, the word is used with diexodoi ("ways out through"), and the phrase is rightly rendered in the RV, "the partings of the highways" (i.e., the crossroads), AV, "the highways."
Col 2:6 ASV - As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,

Amo 3:3 ASV - Shall two walk together, except they have agreed?

Confess   Greek: homologeo

Confess, Confession:
lit., "to speak the same thing" (homos, "same," lego, "to speak"), "to assent, accord, agree with," denotes,   To speak the word of God by faith and walk in that faith ,  by walking in this word we agree that it is life to those that believe .
Mat 10:32 ASV - Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.   If we walk in his word have faith to believe his promises , and speak this word to others by faith. Than we walk with Jesus and he is our Lord and he will acknowledge us by our faith.
Luk 12:8 ASV - And I say unto you, Every one who shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Hbr 12:22 ASV - but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,

  The Truth        Greek: aletheia

True, Truly, Truth:
"truth," is used

(a) objectively, signifying "the reality lying at the basis of an appearance; the manifested, veritable essence of a matter" (Cremer), e.g., Rom 9:1; 2Cr 11:10; especially of Christian doctrine, e.g., Gal 2:5, where "the truth of the Gospel" denotes the "true" teaching of the Gospel, in contrast to perversions of it; Rom 1:25, where "the truth of God" may be "the truth concerning God" or "God whose existence is a verity;" but in Rom 15:8 "the truth of God" is indicative of His faithfulness in the fulfillment of His promises as exhibited in Christ; the word has an absolute force in Jhn 14:6; 17:17; 18:37, 38; in Eph 4:21, where the RV, "even as truth is in Jesus," gives the correct rendering, the meaning is not merely ethical "truth," but "truth" in all its fullness and scope, as embodied in Him; He was the perfect expression of the truth; this is virtually equivalent to His statement in Jhn 14:6;

   The Life  Greek: zoe

Life, Living, Lifetime, Life-Giving:
(Eng., "zoo," "zoology") is used in the NT "of life as a principle, life in the absolute sense, life as God has it, that which the Father has in Himself, and which He gave to the Incarnate Son to have in Himself, Jhn 5:26, and which the Son manifested in the world, 1Jo 1:2. From this life man has become alienated in consequence of the Fall, Eph 4:18, and of this life men become partakers through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Jhn 3:15, who becomes its Author to all such as trust in Him, Act 3:15, and who is therefore said to be 'the life' of the believer, Col 3:4, for the life that He gives He maintains, Jhn 6:35, 63. Eternal life is the present actual possession of the believer because of his relationship with Christ, Jhn 5:24; 1Jo 3:14, and that it will one day extend its domain to the sphere of the body is assured by the Resurrection of Christ, 2Cr 5:4; 2Ti 1:10. This life is not merely a principle of power and mobility, however, for it has moral associations which are inseparable from it, as of holiness and righteousness. Death and sin, life and holiness, are frequently contrasted in the Scriptures.

"Zoe is also used of that which is the common possession of all animals and men by nature, Act 17:25; 1Jo 5:16, and of the present sojourn of man upon the earth with reference to its duration, Luk 16:25; 1Cr 15:19; 1Ti 4:8; 1Pe 3:10. 'This life' is a term equivalent to 'the gospel,' 'the faith,' 'Christianity,' Act 5:20."*

Death came through sin, Rom 5:12, which is rebellion against God. Sin thus involved the forfeiting of the "life." "The life of the flesh is in the blood," Lev 17:11. Therefore the impartation of "life" to the sinner must be by a death caused by the shedding of that element which is the life of the flesh. "It is the blood that maketh atonement by reason of the life" (id., RV). The separation from God caused by the forfeiting of the "life" could be removed only by a sacrifice in which the victim and the offerer became identified. This which was appointed in the typical offerings in Israel received its full accomplishment in the voluntary sacrifice of Christ. The shedding of the blood in the language of Scripture involves the taking or the giving of the "life." Since Christ had no sins of his own to die for, His death was voluntary and vicarious, Jhn 10:15 with Isa 53:5, 10, 12; 2Cr 5:21. In His sacrifice He endured the Divine judgment due to man's sin. By this means the believer becomes identified with Him in His deathless "life," through His resurrection, and enjoys conscious and eternal fellowship with God.

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN ,  HOW IS A MAN BORN AGAIN ?

Act 2:36 ASV - Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.

Act 2:39 ASV - For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.  Repent to turn from your sin/ having a change of mind   This promise is to you my friend and this is the mystery being reveled today.  It is Christ in you the hope of being resurrected to newness of life.  Jesus said you know the way he is the only way unto the father .  Jhn 10:7 ASV - Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Jhn 10:8 ASV - All that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Luk 4:18 ASV - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19 ASV - To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luk 4:20 ASV - And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luk 4:21 ASV - And he began to say unto them, To-day hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
All that came before me are thieves and robbers ,  at the moment the moment of reading Isaiah 61 it was the fulfilling of that prophecy not only to the Jew but to the gentile also he Jesus is the fulfilling of the law.  He is our grace !  He is Lord of our sabbath every day.
