Isa 53:1-12 ASV - Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?
He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?
And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
So what are we to say of this man this obedient servant, it says through it all he was as a lamb. He went to his cross with out a word, as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. What would be his defense of the situation . How or why would he make such a defense. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.
Gen 50:19 ASV - And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?Gen 50:20 ASV - And as for you, ye meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Isa 53:7 ASV - He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
Isa 53:8 ASV - By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?
Jhn 18:37 ASV - Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king.
To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Jesus said he laid down his life willingly.
Jhn 10:15 ASV - even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Jhn 10:17 ASV - Therefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
Read again of Pilates apprehension to harm Jesus , he knew in his mind there was something about this man that was not like any other. Pilates wife came and told him of a dream she had about this man Jesus, he is holy do not harm him. This was making it even harder for Pilate to crucify Jesus . And at any moment if Jesus chose to cry out do not slay me, free me do not crucify me. Pilate would have let Him go, even as the story of Paul in Acts 23:12-24 where the plot was laid to kill him and a young boy told the captain of the guard the plan they had for Paul. The commander brought in foot troops and horse troops and carried Paul away he was set free from the evil upon him. This parallels what Jesus was enduring , but he was suffering for the whole world, to take away the sins of the whole world. It says that he opened not his mouth as a lamb to the slaughter. In the end he stop speaking to Pilate because he saw the fear on Pilate and the situation he was in, Jesus had a mission! to go to his cross for you and I.
Jhn 19:10 ASV - Pilate therefore saith unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? Knowest thou not that I have power to release thee, and have power to crucify thee?
Jhn 19:11 ASV - Jesus answered him, Thou wouldest have no power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath greater sin. Remembering the mount of transfiguration Mar 9:4 ASV - And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

I believe to encourage him Psa 22 He laded down his life and he took it up again. In the garden of Gethsemane where he chose to pray, Gethsemane = "an oil press" or a stone of pressing, I have read that in that time to extract the oil from the olives they would place them in small baskets and place them under this giant stone which weighed over two thousand pounds and lower the stone onto the olives and press the life or the oil out of the olive.
Mat 26:38 ASV - Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.
It says his soul was exceeding sorrowful ! he knows your pain and your sorrows he endured the cross! he felt your pain at that moment he is no stranger to your needs.
Mat 26:39 ASV - And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Luk 22:44 ASV - And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.
He was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due. He is your healer he is the remedy for your soul and your needs. In a vision some time back I looked as he hung on the cross and suffered, I saw as it were a great drop of blood trickle down his body, it fell from his foot to the ground and splattered in the dust. And we are the dust of the earth being reconciled by his blood.
Hbr 10:20 ASV - by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
The moment he died there was a great earthquake and dark clouds and rumblings like no man had ever seen before. Mat 27:51 ASV - And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake; and the rocks were rent;
Mat 27:52 ASV - and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;
Mat 27:53 ASV - and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared unto many. Even in his death he was calling many Lazarus to come forth.
Hbr 10:4 ASV - For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
Hbr 10:5 ASV - Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;
Hbr 10:7 ASV - Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.
