1Co 6:19 Ye Are Not Your Own

Rom 7:4 KJV - Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

1Co 6:19 ASV - Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
2Co 13:5 ASV - Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.

In these last days God is speaking to his people to those he loves ,  there is no fear of God in the church today .     Psa 19:9 ASV - The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 ASV - More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb.
People of God are becoming very aware of the coming judgement upon the earth ,  there is a calling of God through out the Land to be holy be repentant of your sins, many dreams and visions of people through out the earth speaking of the coming judgement .  Wars and rumors of war nation against nation.  And they all speaking the same thing fall on the rock of Christ and be broken .  If you are seeing this and realize your being aware of this . God is calling his mercy is being poured abroad , he is still forgiving and receiving repented hearts.   The word says Jesus will come as a thief in the night . Some people think the opposite just as they did in the time of Noah eating and drinking and living to their flesh.  God told Noah it is going to rain go inside Noah you and your family . And it began to rain and God shut the door to the Ark .

1Pe 3:18 ASV - Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
Being put to death in our flesh but made alive in his spirit.  That is why Jesus spoke so many times of our cross and getting on that cross and living by his power.  He died physically in his flesh and we die spiritually to our carnal nature our old man.
1Pe 3:19 ASV - in which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison,
1Pe 3:20 ASV - that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:
1Pe 3:21 ASV - which also after a true likeness doth now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;

 The whole of all of man kind died in the flood.   All but eight ,  Eight souls were saved through or by water.  Eight being the number for new beginnings .

1Pe 4:1 ASV - Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  If we are willing to endure our cross and suffer the death of our flesh.  Its not a pleasant thing to deny your old self and follow after righteous.  David slew Goliath with his own sword , as type and shadow Goliath represents our flesh man . Our natural flesh will does not want to die ,  but Christ has come to gives the power to resist the tempting of our flesh the nature of Adam and live unto holiness.
Jas 1:21 ASV - Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
Feel compelled to tell you in the book of Acts when the disciples were in the upper room waiting on what Jesus told them right before he went to the father. Stay in Jerusalem UNTIL you be endued with power . Man hs no ability to save himself there is no righteousness of our own .  The disciples waited fasting and praying for the promise to come their was no altar for them to go to as today .  The only true altar we have is our cross we get on our cross and believe in the power of his blood to save us.  No they waited on the promise ,  and it came just as Jesus spoke it to them.
Jhn 16:13 ASV - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.
Jhn 15:26 ASV - But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:
Jhn 20:21 ASV - Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Jhn 20:22 ASV - And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:

Act 2:36 ASV - Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
Act 2:37 ASV - Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?  Godly sorrow work's unto repentance
Act 2:38 ASV - And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.   What is this Peter is saying here ?   people are sorry for their sins and broken by the revelation that this man Jesus was the messiah  and they were some how involved in his crucifixion.  Not all those present at that moment were convicted some still refused Peters word . But those that received his word were heart broken and wanted to have that forgiveness .
Mat 21:43 ASV - Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Mat 21:44 ASV - And he that falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust. Jesus fulfill the old law so this word is to all men every where .

Eph 2:1 ASV - And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins,
Eph 2:2 ASV - wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience;
Eph 2:3 ASV - among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the MIND, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:--
Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The great question of all times is who am I and what am I here for , the verse above tells us absolutely why are we here and what is your purpose on this earth . And the verse below is the reason.
Eph 2:4 ASV - but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Eph 2:5 ASV - even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),
My friend you need the same Holy Spirit as those that received in the book Acts on the day of Pentecost  do you have the Holy Spirit as those , this did not come from half hearted confession . It came from a repented heart , fasting and praying seeking the Lord and his promises.  Ask the Lord to fill you with his spirit to fill you up with the promise Jesus spoke of  . Act 1:4 ASV - and, being assembled together with them, he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, said he, ye heard from me:
Act 1:5 ASV - For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.
Act 1:8 ASV - But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  Uttermost in  Greek: eschatos
End, Ending:        the last day," a comprehensive term including both the time of the resurrection of the redeemed, Jhn 6:39, 40, 44, 54; 11:24, and the ulterior time of the judgment of the unregenerate, at the Great White Throne, Jhn 12:48;
Act 2:39 ASV - For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
Peters response to those at that were present there on the day of Pentecost , this was a commandment not a request   And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Repent , be baptized as Romans 6 tells us. baptizem  is not a formality or a religious custom . It was a commandment from Gods Apostles to you and me it is absolutely necessary for you to follow this word and obey. And if you do you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him even to the uttermost

1Pe 4:2 ASV - that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1Pe 4:3 ASV - For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:
1Pe 4:4 ASV - wherein they think strange that ye run not with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of of:

1Pe 4:5 ASV - who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.

Judge  Greek: krino

Call, Called, Calling:
"to judge," is translated "to call in question," in Act 23:6; 24:21.

Greek: zao    Live: Living

To have true life and worthy of the name
Spiritual life, Jhn 6:57; Rom 1:17; 8:13; Gal 2:19, 20; Hbr 12:9;

Greek: nekros

Dead:
the ideal spiritual condition of believers in regard to sin, Rom 6:11:
But this is also referring to those that are spiritually dead lost in their sins.

1Pe 4:5
1. Judged
2. Living
3. Dead
Yes we will all battle our flesh as long as we live in this body of flesh that is why we have a cross to put to death the deeds of the flesh .  But the battle is more intense and I believe the closer we walk to the end of our life's either by natural death or at the end,  taking those that are alive and remain to meet him at his coming.  We must walk soberly , 1Th 5:8 ASV - But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
2Ti 4:5 ASV - But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.
1Pe 4:7 ASV - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:
1Pe 5:8 ASV - Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
 Sober      Greek: nepho
Sober, Soberly, Soberminded:  to be sober, to be calm and collected in spirit to be temperate, dispassionate, circumspect.
of "spiritual alertness," e.g., Act 20:31; 1Cr 16:13; Col 4:2; 1Th 5:6, 10 (for which see WAKE); 1Pe 5:8, RV, "be watchful" (AV, "be vigilant"); Rev 3:2, 3; 16:15.
The Greek word here is use two ways ,   To be free of  intoxicants,  drink.
And the other is to be sober of mind spiritually ,  To Love the world and the things of the world is to intoxicated with lusting or coveting worldly things.  1John 2:16  speaks of the vain glory of life

Greek: bios

Goods:   that by which life is sustained, resources, wealth, goods minding the things of the flesh

 "While Zoe is "life' intensive... bios is 'life' extensive.... In bios, used as manner of 'life,' there is an ethical sense often inhering which, in classical Greek at least, Zoe does not possess." In Scripture Zoe is "the nobler word, expressing as it continually does, all of highest and best which the saints possess in God  So I see here two kinds of life , Bios is this life on the earth a person of the fleshly earth worldy.Trying to sustain his life here on earth , Jesus said if you find your life here on earth you will loseit in the end.  I see that bios / biology is the carnal nature of man , Adams blood and man trying to extend his fleshly life. Life extensive
Zoe  /   Gods  life  /     intensive = A full and thorough application of resources, taking on the very nature of Christ God has given us everything we need to be over-comers in this life.
The resources of God given to his children  .  Eph 1:3 ASV - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:   God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:
Eph 1:4 ASV - even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love:   Faithful is he who has called you and he will do it.

Mat 7:14 ASV - For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

 Greek: thlibo  narrow

Afflict (-ed), Affliction:
"to suffer affliction, to be troubled," has reference to sufferings due to the pressure of circumstances, or the antagonism of persons, 1Th 3:4; 2Th 1:6, 7; "straitened," in Mat 7:14 (RV); "throng," Mar 3:9; "afflicted," 2Cr 1:6; 7:5 (RV); 1Ti 5:10; Hbr 11:37; "pressed," 2Cr 4:8. Both the verb and the noun (see B, No. 4), when used of the present experience of believers, refer almost invariably to that which comes upon them from without.

Greek: pule   Gate:
metaphorically, of the "gates" at the entrances of the ways leading to life and to destruction, Mat 7:13, 14; some mss. have pule, for thura, "a door," in Luk 13:24 (see the RV); of the "gates" of Hades, Mat 16:18, than which nothing was regarded as stronger. The importance and strength of "gates" made them viewed as synonymous with power. By metonymy, the "gates" stood for those who held government and administered justice there.

Greek: stenos

Narrow:   narrow, strait
from a root sten--, seen in stenazo, "to groan," stenagmos, "groaning" (Eng., "stenography," lit., "narrow writing"), is used figuratively in Mat 7:13, 14, of the gate which provides the entrance to eternal life, "narrow" because it runs counter to natural inclinations, and "the way" is similarly characterized; so in Luk 13:24 (where the more intensive word agonizomai, "strive," is used); RV, "narrow" (AV, "strait") in each place. Cp. stenochoreo, "to be straitened," and stenochoria, "narrowness, anguish, distress."

Mat 10:39 ASV - He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Mat 16:25 ASV - For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.

 1Jo 2:14 ASV - I have written unto you, fathers, because ye know him who is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the evil one.

1Jo 2:15 ASV - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1Jo 2:16 ASV - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Luk 12:37 KJV - Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

1Co 15:51 ASV - Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 ASV - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Co 6:19 ASV - Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
2Co 13:5 ASV - Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.
