Eph 6:10 ASV - Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
Zec 4:6 ASV - Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.
 Zerubbabel = "sown in Babylon this word is to us to the church the bride ,  we have our own wilderness to endure .  The flesh does not want to die the carnal nature wants to live , 
1Jo 2:16 ASV - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  As you can see in the word to Zerubbabel man has no ability to save himself .  God says only by his spirit shall we be saved healed and delivered .    For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Eph 6:11 ASV - Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.   Armor  Greek: panoplia of the spiritual helps supplied by God for overcoming the temptations of the Devil, Eph 6:11, 13. Among the Greeks the panoplia was the complete equipment used by heavily armed infantry.     Wiles:    denotes "craft, deceit" (meta, "after," hodos, "a way"). "a cunning device, a wile," and is translated "wiles (of error)" in Eph 4:14, RV [AV paraphrases it, "they lie in wait (to deceive)"], lit., "(with a view to) the craft (singular) of deceit;" in Eph 6:11, "the wiles (plural) (of the Devil.)"    The whole armor of God ! we have no armor of our own ,  and we are in a battle for our souls there is a warfare in the spirit going on continually and the purpose of the devil is to kill , steal and destroy .
Eph 6:12 ASV - For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.    Greek: pale    Wrestle, Wrestling:
"a wrestling" (akin to pallo, "to sway, vibrate"), is used figuratively in Eph 6:12, of the spiritual conflict engaged in by believers, RV, "(our) wrestling," AV, "(we) wrestle."   This battle is not against an individual flesh and blood . Satan uses people to come against you to speak and work all manner of evil against you , The war is spiritual not of the flesh seeing that we come against 
the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places .  Satan is a spirit so he needs a body to use as a vessel of dishonor a tool
a willing person .  You bind the devil not the person and he will be bound , he must obey your commands if you walk in the name of Jesus , Name in the Greek   Onoma  for all that a "name" implies, of authority, character, rank, majesty, power, excellence, etc., of everything that the "name" covers:   representing the authority of Christ, e.g., Mat 18:5 (with epi, "on the ground of My authority  It is just saying the name of Jesus it is knowing his name in your life representing the authority of Christ, e.g., Mat 18:5 (with epi, "on the ground of My authority .the name is used for everything which the name covers, everything the thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing, remembering, the name, i.e. for one's rank, authority, interests, pleasure, command, excellences, deeds etc.
Eph 6:13 ASV - Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.  The evil day full of labours, annoyances, hardships pressed and harassed by labours bringing toils, annoyances, perils; of a time full of peril to Christian faith and steadfastness; causing pain and trouble .   2Co 12:9 ASV - And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Luk 10:19 ASV - Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.   Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.
Mar 16:17 ASV - And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 ASV - they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  Once again its is not by our power  Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts .  2Co 12:9 ASV - And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Its Gods rest we seek , Goliath was a mountain of flesh he is a type and shadow of our warfare ,  and how did David over come him   1Sa 17:40 ASV - And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in the shepherd's bag which he had, even in his wallet; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. 
The five stones ,  five is the number of Grace and the Stones represent the foundation of your house , built upon the solid rock of Gods word.   And the Sling in the Heb speaks of the sling as the sail of a ship . A ship can only move by wind and the sail is the power of the ship it is the power of the spirit of God the very breath of God . It is the power of Gods spirit in you he is your strength he is your wisdom he makes the way of escape  , by faith we believe .

1Sa 17:45 ASV - Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a javelin: but I come to thee in the NAME of Jehovah of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.  David knew the name of God hear his boldness came because of his faith in God to deliver .  God proved his power to David in the lion and the bear .
Satan knows who is a child of God and who walks in the power of that name ,   The sons of sceva
tells the story of this    Act 19:13 ASV - But certain also of the strolling Jews, exorcists, took upon them to name over them that had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Act 19:15 ASV - And the evil spirit answered and said unto them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye?    They did not know the name of Jesus or walk in the power of his name its not just speaking his name its  possessing his power in you . Jesus said he came in his fathers name he manifest the power of his father in his works .  
1Sa 17:47 ASV - and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah's, and he will give you into our hand.
1Sa 17:49 ASV - And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead; and the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell upon his face to the earth.    The word of God talks about the mind of man  Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  Mind Greek: nous

Mind (Noun and Verb):
the new nature, which belongs to the believer by reason of the new birth, Rom 7:23, 25, where it is contrasted with "the flesh," the principle of evil which dominates fallen man. Under (b) may come 2Th 2:2, where it stands for the determination to be steadfast amidst afflictions, through the confident expectation of the day of rest and recompense mentioned in the first chapter.
We are transformed by the renewing of your mind , and the way we renew our mind by the word of God be obedient to his word the gospel of God .  We are born with the nature of Adam the flesh of Adam .  The bible speaks of a reconciling of our souls back to God        2Co 5:19 ASV - to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  Reconciliation  By reason of this men in their sinful condition and alienation from God are invited to be "reconciled" to Him; that is to say, to change their attitude, and accept the provision God had made, whereby their sins can be remitted and they themselves be justified in His sight in Christ.   There was no mistake with Adam and Eve God gave them a choice they were perfect in every way .  In the garden was several trees with freedom to eat from     Gen 2:9 ASV - And out of the ground made Jehovah God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  God said any tree is allowed to eat from but the tree of knowledge of good and evil .  So we see here to eat means much more than filling their bellies .  To devour is the heb for eat ,  to partake of something spiritually to consume to devour .  God gave Adam and Eve a choice and they made the wrong choice they disobeyed Gods command .  Jesus said   Jhn 6:51 ASV - I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.
Jhn 6:54 ASV - He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jhn 6:55 ASV - For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Jhn 6:56 ASV - He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him.
I am the living bread ,   the unleavened bread the word of God he was the word made flesh.
His blood is his very nature for the life is in the blood .  He is the tree of life for us , we choose to feed upon his word the fruit of life everlasting .   And his nature is    Gal 5:22 ASV - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 ASV - meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 ASV - And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
Gal 5:25 ASV - If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.
There is a choice to be made here to eat the fruit of the world and die or eat the fruit of the spirit and live.    1Jo 2:16 ASV - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Eph 6:14 ASV - Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  Loins   Greek: osphus     of girding the "loins" of the mind, 1Pe 1:13, RV, "girding," suggestive of the alertness necessary for sobriety and for setting one's hope perfectly on "the grace to be brought... at the revelation of Jesus Christ" (the present participle, "girding," is introductory to the rest of the verse the breastplate protects the heart and it says the breastplate here is of righteousness walking in the righteousness of Gods word protects us.
Heb 5:13 ASV - For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 ASV - But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.  By applying the word of righteousness to our hearts and walking in it we will be able to discern good and evil

Eph 6:15 ASV - and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Shod in the      Greek: hupodeo      Bind, Binding (See Also Bound):
hupo, "under," with No. 1, "to bind underneath," is used of binding of sandals, Act 12:8; rendered "shod" in Mar 6:9; Eph 6:15.  Walking in the light as he is in the light .   Heb 12:14 ASV - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

Eph 6:17 ASV - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this Mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Eph 6:18 ASV - with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,   Mat 26:41 ASV - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Eph 6:19 ASV - And on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the Mystery of the gospel, Christ in you the hope of our  resurrection

2Co 10:3 ASV - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh
2Co 10:4 ASV - (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds),     Using our sling and the stones of our faith , David not only killed the giant he took off his head the mind of the flesh .

2Co 10:5 ASV - casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;  The battle is for your mind and the devil is after your mind remember the word of righteousness and its power over the devil being able to decern good and evil and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
