The Battle Ground Is For Our Mind

Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

Mind (Noun and Verb):
signifies

(a) "to think, to be minded in a certain way;"

(b) "to think of, be mindful of." It implies moral interest or reflection, not mere unreasoning opinion.  Rom 7   For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.
But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.
Eph 3:16 KJV - That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
The inner man which is your soul ,  Inner  conscience this is where the spirit of God dwells.

(c) the immaterial, invisible part of man, Luk 8:55; Act 7:59; 1Cr 5:5; Jam 2:26; cp. Ecc 12:7, Sept.;  This is where God gave man life , Adam became a living soul God breath the breath of life in that earthly form and it became a Living Soul , Man cannot exist with out the flesh the body .

Soul   Greek: psuchen airo     Doubt (Be In, Make To), Doubtful, Doubting:
lit., "to raise the breath, or to lift the soul," signifies "to hold in suspense," RV of Jhn 10:24 (AV, "make us to doubt"), suggestive of "an objective suspense due to lack of light"  through a failure of their expectations, rather than, subjectively, through unbelief. The meaning may thus be, "How long dost Thou raise our expectations without satisfying them?"
The soul has a house a dwelling place to live our flesh ,  God put his life into man with his breath ,
and  the soul this is where God creates man in his IMAGE . See this in the spiritual , Gods image is his Character his Authority and his very Nature . Jesus said he came in his fathers name     Col 1:14 ASV - in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
Col 1:15 ASV - who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
Col 1:16 ASV - for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;

The body is the vehicle to transport the soul , we walk and we talk and speak through this flesh man ,  Eph 1:7 ASV - in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Eph 1:8 ASV - which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
Eph 1:9 ASV - making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him

Jesus was born of a woman in the likeness of sinful flesh .    Rom 8:3 ASV - For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  Jesus came to show us who the father is , he came to revel the father to us. He is the pattern son for us to follow .  Yes we can be like Jesus there is a perfection in Christ and every man will be judged by this .  Jesus said to pick up our cross and follow him , what is the cross to us today it is a spiritual death to our flesh .  Christ died to his flesh as a sacrifice for our sins in the flesh. He rose from the dead and came out of the grave  triumphant ,   Col 2:13 KJV - And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 KJV - Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 KJV - And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.    When Jesus rose from the dead he gave life to those that believe in him .  That is how we become a new creature in Christ he took you place as  sinful flesh and made us a new creature.       Jhn 1:11 ASV - He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Sanctify  Greek: hagiazo    Hallow:
"to make holy" (from hagios, "holy"), signifies to set apart for God, to sanctify, to make a person or thing the opposite of koinos, "common;" it is translated "Hallowed," with reference to the name of God the Father in the Lord's Prayer, Mat 6:9; Luk 11:2.
It says  , signifies to set apart for God  present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.   And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.    The battle in this kingdom walk is for your mind your soul .  And the body will always obey your mind , Mat 13:3 ASV - And he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow; Jesus was sowing the word of God in the hearts of men
Mat 13:8 ASV - and others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.  The good ground is the honest heart the repentant heart
Mat 13:9 ASV - He that hath ears, let him hear.

A day is coming when this word Psalm 91 will be more than prophetic you will see it with your own eyes.

1Sa 17:38 ASV - And Saul clad David with his apparel, and he put a helmet of brass upon his head, and he clad him with a coat of mail.   This was mans ability to war with satan brass in a type of mans flesh the mind of the flesh ,  and the coat of mail is his arm of the flesh .  The battle is Gods and he is our strength , faith is the victory in our Life .

Isa 59:1 ASV - Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isa 59:16 ASV - And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.
Isa 59:17 ASV - And he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
Isa 59:21 ASV - And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever.
