Sifted By His Love
Everything precious and sought after that comes out of the earth is sifted in some form or another from Diamonds to Gold precious metals and jewels etc . Your father is sifting his children today for the precious fruit of righteousness . Mat 21:44 ASV - And he that falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.
Mar 1:14 ASV - Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,
Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
1Co 9:18 ASV - What then is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel without charge, so as not to use to the full my right in the gospel.
My question to you this morning is the gospel that Jesus preached to you is it the good news , has it blessed you and healed you. 1Pe 2:24 ASV - who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed. I want to say salvation is not a one time experience , its an on going walk in the word of God a life time of obedience . The word says he that over comes shall be saved . If you confess Jesus as your savior than you must walk as he walked , there is a teaching today that some people have that is believed, once saved always saved. Now there are many scriptures that say other wise . To receive Christ as your savior is not a one time confession and that is all you have to do and you are in, everything is fine. Luk 6:46 ASV - And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 1Jo 2:6 ASV - he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk even as he walked.
2Co 13:5 ASV - Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.
Remember the Pharisees ask Jesus . Luk 17:20 ASV - And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luk 17:21 ASV - neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you. Jhn 15:4 ASV - Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.
To sift his children , yes he allows us to be sifted just as Peter was . John said Luk 3:16 ASV - John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire: Greek: pur Fire: of the holiness of God, which consumes all that is inconsistent therewith, Hbr 10:27; 12:29; cp. Rev 1:14; 2:18; 10:1; 15:2; 19:12; similarly of the holy angels as His ministers, Hbr 1:7; in Rev 3:18 it is symbolic of that which tries the faith of saints, producing what will glorify the Lord . Jhn 15:2 ASV - Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.
Jhn 15:4 ASV - Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. The carnal nature is an enemy to the spirit of God , so we see the works of the flesh are the fruit of our carnallty . And we also can see if we are chastened of the Lord it is because he Loves us and every branch that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit. In the natural world the practice of pruning is to produce more fruit . That is why the Lord uses the vine as a parable to explain how he is involved in our lifes .
Jhn 15:8 ASV - Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my
disciples.
Heb 12 AMP 6 For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes.
7 You must submit to and endure [correction] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not [thus] train and correct and discipline?
8 Now if you are exempt from correction and left without discipline in which all [of God’s children] share, then you are illegitimate offspring and not true sons [at all].
Rev 3:19 ASV - As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Now as we read the verse that Jesus was telling Peter , Luke 22 : 31-32 NLT “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.” Godly sorrow is his Love for you, 2 Cor 7-10 NLT For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
To Sift a noun / an act of sifting something, especially so as to isolate that which is most important or useful . Out of the heart flows the issues of life , Luk 6:45 ASV - The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
To confess means to speak the same as , Jesus said man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God .
There is a sifting coming like no other time in the history of mankind its called tribulation . Ask your self is tribulation for the lost the unbelievers the anti Christ , tribulation is a sifting and chastening from the father of lights who in his great mercy desires to save and heal his people those that believe. He is a God of Love and Mercy but he is also a God of wrath . The world says that people that believe this bible literally and hanging on every word with expectation and hope ! they are fools and fanatics . Jesus said its not the bread alone (food for the body ) you eat that will save your soul its every word breathed by God .
Jhn 3:7 ASV - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew. It is appointed unto man to die once !! Heb 9:27 ASV - And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men ONCE to die, and after this cometh judgment; The flesh must die 1Co 15:53 ASV - For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. and than the judgement !
The second death spoke of in Rev is the death of the soul of man or the judgement of hell fire.
Mat 22:11 ASV - But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:
Mat 22:12 ASV - and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless. This man was not changed he was still in his flesh body , he
still had a body of his carnal nature he was not changed from death into life. Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God . The body Jesus had after his resurrection when he visited the disciples is the same one we shall have when we are changed in that moment of glory. It is Christ in you the hope of glory . Mat 22:13 ASV - Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
Wedding Greek: gamos
Feast:
"a wedding," especially a wedding "feast" (akin to gameo, "to marry"); it is used in the plural in the following passages (the RV rightly has "marriage feast" for the AV, "marriage," or "wedding"), Mat 22:2, 3, 4, 9 (in verses Mat 22:11, 12, it is used in the singular, in connection with the wedding garment); 25:10; Luk 12:36; 14:8; in the following it signifies a wedding itself, Jhn 2:1, 2; Hbr 13:4; and figuratively in Rev 19:7, of the marriage of the Lamb; in Rev 19:9 it is used in connection with the supper, the wedding supper (or what in English is termed "breakfast"), not the wedding itself, as in ver. 7.
Garment Greek: enduma
Clothing, Cloths, Clothes, Cloke, Coat:
akin to enduo (see CLOTHE, No. 2), denotes "anything put on, a garment of any kind." It was used of the clothing of ancient prophets, in token of their contempt of earthly splendor, 1Ki 19:13; 2Ki 1:8, RV; Zec 13:4. In the NT it is similarly used of John the Baptist's raiment, Mat 3:4; of raiment in general, Mat 6:25, 28; Luk 12:23; metaphorically, of sheep's clothing, Mat 7:15; of a wedding garment, 22:11, 12; of the raiment of the angel at the tomb of the Lord after His resurrection, 28:3.
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51 ASV - Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 ASV - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Rom 12:1 ASV - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Until the word of God came unto us through his mercy we had the mind of our father Adam . But now that the word of God has come to light every man we have our minds renewed daily by his word it transforms us into his very nature , but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
