That Which He Thinketh He Hath

1Co 2:12 ASV - But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 ASV - Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.
1Co 2:14 ASV - Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

Luk 8:18 ASV - Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath.  There is only one way to see the spiritual understanding of this verse.    Jhn 3:5 ASV - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!     Kingdom  Greek: basileia "The fundamental principle of the Kingdom is declared in the words of the Lord spoken in the midst of a company of Pharisees, "the Kingdom of God is in the midst of you," Luk 17:21, marg., that is, where the King is, there is the Kingdom. Thus at the present time and so far as this earth is concerned, where the King is and where His rule is acknowledged, is, first, in the heart of the individual believer of the royal power and dignity conferred on Christians in the Messiah's kingdom.
Jhn 18:36 ASV - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Luk 17:20 ASV - And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 ASV - neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

Let us go back to Luke 8:18   The kingdom here is the son ship of Gods calling to those he calls to himself , It is very plain that with out the Holy Spirit in us we can never know the will of God in our life's.  You must realize Jesus had to die for you to receive the spirit of truth .  It is the very basic beginning of your christian walk ,   to be filled with the power of God through his spirit.  It came with a price a ransom was paid for man kind to enter into this kingdom.    Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath.  Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Col 1:28 ASV - whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;
Perfect  Greek: teleios
Age:
"complete, perfect," from telos, "an end," is translated "of full age" in Hbr 5:14, AV (RV, "fullgrown man")   consummate human integrity and virtue of men full grown, adult, of full age, mature
There is a condition here of receiving the fullness of God the father .   Nicodemus heard that conditional truth.      Jhn 3:3 ASV - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Jesus says here that a man cannot see the spiritual blessing of Gods plan for them with out the Holy Spirit living in them.

Born anew  Greek: gennao   Beget, Bear (Of Begetting), Born:
Of God making men his sons through faith in Christ's work in the writings of the Apostle John, of the gracious act of God in conferring upon those who believe the nature and disposition of "children," imparting to them spiritual life, Jhn 3:3, 5, 7; 1Jo 2:29; 3:9; 4:7; 5:1, 4, 18;

Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Jhn 3:7 ASV - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.
Jhn 3:8 ASV - The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Nicodemus was looking at this great truth with the eyes of the flesh ,     Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and  be born?    Nicodemus was looking at this truth in the flesh , that is why  Jesus said Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath .  What he thinketh he has ,  there is only one gospel and it is this truth . The beginning of your Christian walk the very first thing we must do is to be filled with the Holy Spirit , not as the traditional church practice but according to the gospel of Jesus .   John had to come before Jesus he had to being repentance to the people without repentance no man can know God or be saved . To make you paths straight is to repent and turn from sin , be born again . John was preparing the way for Jesus to come unto us ,     John was preparing your heart for Jesus to come unto you.   John said I baptize with water but he that is coming after me HE ! shall baptize you
with the Holy Spirit and with FIRE ! With this repentance Jesus comes through the Holy Ghost to abide in you he is the one who gives the spirit .  You need his presence in you  to go through the fire
Greek: pur
Fire:
of the holiness of God, which consumes all that is inconsistent therewith, Hbr 10:27; 12:29; cp. Rev 1:14; 2:18; 10:1; 15:2; 19:12; similarly of the holy angels as His ministers, Hbr 1:7; in Rev 3:18 it is symbolic of that which tries the faith of saints, producing what will glorify the Lord; (b) of the Divine judgment, testing the deeds of believers, at the judgment seat of Christ, 1Cr 3:13, 15   John 3:16  and than     Luk 3:16 ASV - John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:   Peter said Acts 2-38 repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the Remission of your sins and you shall receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit .
John 3:16 is believing on the name of Jesus repenting for your sins and Luke 3:16 is following through with your repentance asking the Lord to come with his spirit and fill you with his power .
Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.  To preach the gospel
Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned. Baptism is not just a symbolic act it is a matter of you heart ,  Rom 6 says it all
Rom 6:3 ASV - Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 ASV - For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection;
Rom 6:6 ASV - knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;

 1Pe 3:20 ASV - that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:
1Pe 3:21 ASV - which also after a true likeness doth now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;

  To turn from your sinful life and be broken and repentant in your heart.  Jesus said unless you repent and be baptized in his name you can not be saved.   Rom 6:1 ASV - What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 ASV - God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?
Rom 6:3 ASV - Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
1Pe 3:20 ASV - that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:
1Pe 3:21 ASV - which also after a true likeness doth now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;        Mat 3:2 ASV - Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Greek: metanoeo      Repent, Repentance:   lit., "to perceive afterwards" (meta, "after," implying "change," noeo, "to perceive;" nous, "the mind, the seat of moral reflection"), in contrast to pronoeo, "to perceive beforehand," hence signifies "to change one's mind or purpose," always, in the NT, involving a change for the better, an amendment, and always, except in Luk 17:3, 4, of "repentance" from sin. The word is found in the Synoptic Gospels (in Luke, nine times), in Acts five times, in the Apocalypse twelve times, eight in the messages to the churches, Rev 2:5 (twice), 16, 21 (twice), RV, "she willeth not to repent" (2nd part); Rev 3:3, 19

Act 19:1 ASV - And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper country came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples:
Act 19:2 ASV - and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether the Holy Spirit was given.
Act 19:3 ASV - And he said, Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into John's baptism.
Act 19:4 ASV - And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him that should come after him, that is, on Jesus.
Act 19:5 ASV - And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
Act 19:6 ASV - And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Act 19:7 ASV - And they were in all about twelve men.

Luk 8:19 ASV - And there came to him his mother and brethren, and they could not come at him for the crowd.
Luk 8:20 ASV - And it was told him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
Luk 8:21 ASV - But he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God, and do it.

Luk 13:18 ASV - He said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?
Luk 13:19 ASV - It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.
Luk 13:20 ASV - And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
Luk 13:21 ASV - It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.    The holy spirit is that power to change , only by his spirit in us can we see with his eyes .    There is an absolute baptism of the spirit not as the church of today teaches , the true gospel is not preached as the scripture I bring to you you must be born again of God spirit just as in the book of Acts on the day of Pentecost . You can not save yourself there is nothing we can do to be saved but believe and repent .   You do not get Gods spirit because you confess Jesus as you personal savior . What has the word reveled here ! repentance and baptism and you will receive the holy ghost. And it is an actual experience of Gods love for you there is a baptism here Jesus said it unless you are born again , how are we born again .     Act 2:36 ASV - Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
Act 2:37 ASV - Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 ASV - And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:39 ASV - For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.

Act 1:22 ASV - beginning from the baptism of John, unto the day that he was received up from us, of these must one become a witness with us of his resurrection.
There will be no resurrection of the body unless the fullness of the gospel rest in you .  Luk 8:18 ASV - Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath.

Mat 11:15 ASV - He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Luk 8:8 ASV - And other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit a hundredfold. As he said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Jesus is not speaking of the natural sense of hearing with your flesh , he is speaking of hearing the word of God by his spirit .

Jas 1:23 ASV - For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:
Jas 1:24 ASV - for he beholdeth himself, and goeth away, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Jas 1:25 ASV - But he that looketh into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.
