Rev 2:7 Promise Of Paradise

                Christian !           seems to be espoused as a physical thing more than a heart thing by some people.     Jhn 14:15 ASV - If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.     Luk 6:46 ASV - And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?    The only way we as children of God can express his attributes is to manifest his fruit . And what is the fruit of Christ ,

  Gal 5:22 ASV - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 ASV - meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 ASV - And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
Gal 5:25 ASV - If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.
I believe we as children of God ,        and I want to say Jesus never said we should be good Christians ! this is a man made short cut to holiness .   This is what Jesus requires of his children Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God .
It is about becoming Gods children and Gods children manifest their fathers character his very life .  Act 4:12 ASV - And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.
 Act 4:13 ASV - Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.   Mat 10:1 ASV - And he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.    And this is the true gospel the twelve preached all through their ministry.        Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.    Whole    All:   Greek: pas
radically means "all." Used without the article it means "every," every kind or variety. So the RV marg. in Eph 2:21, "every building," and the text in Eph 3:15, "every family," and the RV marg. of Act 2:36, "every house;" or it may signify "the highest degree," the maximum of what is referred to, as, "with all boldness" Act 4:29. Before proper names of countries, cities and nations, and before collective terms, like "Israel," it signifies either "all" or "the whole," e.g., Mat 2:3; Act 2:36. Used with the article, it means the whole of one object. In the plural it signifies "the totality of the persons or things referred to." Used without a noun it virtually becomes a pronoun, meaning "everyone" or "anyone." In the plural with a noun it means "all." One form of the neuter plural (panta) signifies "wholly, together, in all ways, in all things," Act 20:35; 1Cr 9:25. The neuter plural without the article signifies "all things severally," e.g., Jhn 1:3; 1Cr 2:10; preceded by the article it denotes "all things," as constituting a whole, e.g., Rom 11:36; 1Cr 8:6; Eph 3:9.   No the gifts did not die as some false doctrines has said ,  Jesus gave gifts unto mankind for salvation's sake for the edification of his body for the perfection of his church to all that are called .     Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men .    Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.   From the beginning unto the end of our holy walk is this life we can take no credit for our salvation or its effect on this world , it is Christ in you the hope of glory.   Save by grace a gift of Faith lest we should boast .
This is the reason Jesus chose these twelve men , they had no reason to boast they were men of no reputation.   Apostles special messengers that the power would be of God and not of themselves .

  Apostle, Apostleship:  Greek: apostolosis, lit., "one sent forth"

1Co 1:24 ASV - but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1Co 1:25 ASV - Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1Co 1:26 ASV - For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27 ASV - but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;
1Co 1:28 ASV - and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, yea and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:
1Co 1:29 ASV - that no flesh should glory before God.
1Co 1:30 ASV - But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

We must see that people that profess Christ in name only are walking in their own flesh .  There are today many people that are called Jesus,   they are named Jesus .  But the word says to believe IN HIS name .  Satan knows who belongs to Jesus and who walks in the power of that name .  Acts 19: 13-16   And the evil spirit answered and said unto them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye?   Jesus told the Jews that disputed his words if you were of your father Abraham then you would be doing the works of Abraham . And so it is the same with his children , if we are of Christ  (born into his name ) we will be doing the works of Jesus Christ.     Mar 16:17 ASV - And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 ASV - they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

  1Pe 4:14 ASV - If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are ye; because the Spirit of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.
1Pe 4:15 ASV - For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men's matters:
1Pe 4:16 ASV - but if a man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.
1Pe 4:17 ASV - For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1Pe 4:18 ASV - And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?
1Pe 4:19 ASV - Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.

Christian:   Greek: christianos
"Christian," a word formed after the Roman style, signifying an adherent of Jesus, was first applied to such by the Gentiles and is found in Act 11:26; 26:28; 1Pe 4:16.
Though the word rendered "were called" in Act 11:26 (see under CALL) might be used of a name adopted by oneself or given by others, the "Christians" do not seem to have adopted it for themselves in the times of the Apostles. In 1Pe 4:16, the Apostle is speaking from the point of view of the persecutor; cp. "as a thief," "as a murderer." Nor is it likely that the appellation was given by Jews. As applied by Gentiles there was no doubt an implication of scorn, as in Agrippa's statement in Act 26:28. Tacitus, writing near the end of the first century, says, "The vulgar call them Christians. The author or origin of this denomination, Christus, had, in the reign of Tiberius, been executed by the Procurator, Pontius Pilate" (Annals xv. 44). From the second century onward the term was accepted by believers as a title of honor.

1Pe 4:17 ASV - For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?

 Matt 24   is approaching this earth very soon and there will be no delay , at the appointed time Jesus will come to gather his saints his bride that believed in and obey the gospel of God.
Rev 14:14 ASV - And I saw, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud I saw one sitting like unto a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand sharp sickle.
Rev 14:15 ASV - And another angel came out from the temple, crying with a great voice to him that sat on the cloud, Send forth thy sickle, and reap: for the hour to reap is come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Rev 14:16 ASV - And he that sat on the cloud cast his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was reaped.
Rev 14:17 ASV - Another angel came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
Who is it that will keep you from the kingdom of God , The devil works through the flesh of men.  Jesus gave you the power over your flesh through his word Rom 6     he gave you a cross to bear and your cross is the power of his word to cut away this carnal nature .
Heb 4:12 ASV - For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  Mar 4:24 KJV - And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
Mar 4:25 KJV - For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
Mar 4:26 KJV - And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
Mar 4:27 KJV - And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
Mar 4:28 KJV - For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Mar 4:29 KJV - But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Do not sell yourself''s short friends , the thief on the cross repented on his cross and was saved that moment and he went to paradise with Christ .    The only cross you have at this moment is spiritual and you now have the ability to ask the same question as the thief on the cross ask of Jesus.

Luk 23:40 ASV - But the other answered, and rebuking him said, Dost thou not even fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Luk 23:41 ASV - And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
Luk 23:42 ASV - And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.
Luk 23:43 ASV - And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.    The total sum of all things on this earth is Christ in you the hope of Glory , to live with Christ in paradise .

Pro 24:12 ASV - If thou sayest, Behold, we knew not this; Doth not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his work?

Colo 1:13 Delivered From The Power Of Darkness

Col 1:18 KJV - And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.   The greatest of all things in our lifes to thoses that believe is Christ death, burial and ressurection .   He was crucified for the sins of the world .   John 17:1   Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You .   even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.     Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us   Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?   Jesus is saying I am the father Philip he Jesus manifested his fathers glory in this world .

The father said in the very beginning Let us make man in OUR own Image and God made man in HIS own image ,  Image  Greek: eikon    of man as he was created as being a visible representation of God, 1Cr 11:7, a being corresponding to the original; the condition of man as a fallen creature has not entirely effaced the "image;" he is still suitable to bear responsibility, he still has Godlike qualities, such as love of goodness and beauty, none of which are found in a mere animal; in the Fall man ceased to be a perfect vehicle for the representation of God; God's grace in Christ will yet accomplish more than what Adam lost;
This body was for the Passover Lamb to deliver man from judgement of sin and death,    our souls being born of Adam there has to be one last sacrifice .  When we see the word Image here it consist of two Images one of flesh and one of Spirit .  Remember Jesus said I have come in my Fathers name

  Name:   Greek: onoma
     for all that a "name" implies, of authority, character, rank, majesty, power, excellence, etc., of everything that the "name" covers:  Jesus reveled his father through his power he said the works I do they are of the father the father in me he is doing the works. And we have the name of Jesus the same power as he had .  For God as in Christ reconciling the world unto himself        to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation .  Mark 16 these commandants of Christ is for today .
Satan does not want men and women walking in this power it comes through Grace .  And the word that Jesus spoke about a house divided against its self will not stand .  He told Peter that upon this rock I will build my church ,  that he is the son of God and that he has come to show the church who the father is.  1 Cor 11:27     Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.  Man has made this a religious event and the people do not understand the commitment of this verse.  Your are what you eat ! if we partake of his word feed upon it make it our very life . As you have received the Lord Jesus so walk ye in Him. His blood is his very nature his life is in his blood .  Jesus said why do you  call me Lord Lord and do not what I say.

For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body. For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.  Apostate men have blinded the eyes of the hungry hearts the true saints ,   Discern in the Greek is to      Contend
 Jde 1:3 ASV - Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints.      Contend (-ing):
signifies "to contend about a thing, as a combatant" (epi, "upon or about," intensive, agon, "a contest"), "to contend earnestly," Jud 1:3. The word "earnestly" is added to convey the intensive force of the preposition. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,     Heb 12:14 ASV - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord
  Sanctification   Holiness, Holy, Holily:   Greek: hagiasmos
the resultant state, the conduct befitting those so separated, 1Th 4:3, 4, 7, and the four other places mentioned above. "Sanctification" is thus the state predetermined by God for believers, into which in grace He calls them, and in which they begin their Christian course and so pursue it. Hence they are called "saints" (hagioi).   This is the rock Jesus is building his church on ,     Mat 22:14 ASV - For many are called, but few chosen.   Called in the Greek we have been invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb Jesus .  And our life is to prepare for this marriage , and the preparation is to seek his righteousness and his holy life . Jesus told us to be holy as you father in heaven is holy this is the rock he told Peter he would build his church on the foundation of his gospel .  Luk 6:48 ASV - he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.
Luk 6:49 ASV - But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.
If you Look closely the earth is failing it is coming to a close , the end of all things is at hand.  That flood is coming the stream breaking is quickly approaching  Matt 24 .      Your soul is that house and it must be built upon the truth of Gods gospel the only word that will save us.   Man says that you cannot be perfected in this gospel Jesus said you can .  Man is a liar and has not the truth in him , Jesus said he was the true Shepard every one that came before him was a thief and a liar .   1Co 15:44 ASV - it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.   That which is of flesh is flesh and that which is of spirit is spirit
Jhn 14:3 ASV - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Jhn 14:4 ASV - And whither I go, ye know the way.
Jhn 14:5 ASV - Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?
Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jhn 14:7 ASV - If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Call, Called, Calling:
Greek: kletos  "called, invited," is used,   (a) "of the call of the Gospel," Mat 20:16; 22:14, not there "an effectual call," as in the Epistles, Rom 1:1, 6, 7; 8:28; 1Cr 1:2, 24; Jud 1:1; Rev 17:14; in Rom 1:7; 1Cr 1:2 the meaning is "saints by calling;"
Rev 19:7 ASV - Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 ASV - And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright and pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Col 2:9 ASV - for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily,
2Co 5:19 ASV - to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Jesus said a body you have prepared for me . I have come to do thy will oh God !      Heb 10:1 ASV - For the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.
Heb 10:5 ASV - Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;              Rom 8:13 ASV - for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Rom 8:14 ASV - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.              Luk11:13 ASV - If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?   We have become a living soul just as Adam we are his offspring and we are under the judgements of his sin .

Rom 8:15 ASV - For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:16 ASV - The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Col 1:15 ASV - who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
Col 3:10 ASV - and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Heb 1:3 ASV - who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Jhn 17:5 ASV - And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
GLORY   Glory, Glorious:   Greek: doxa
of the nature and acts of God in self-manifestation, i.e., what He essentially is and does, as exhibited in whatever way he reveals Himself in these respects, and particularly in the person of Christ, in whom essentially His "glory" has ever shone forth and ever will do, Jhn 17:5, 24; Hbr 1:3; it was exhibited in the character and acts of Christ in the days of His flesh, Jhn 1:14; Jhn 2:11; at Cana both His grace and His power were manifested, and these constituted His "glory;" so also in the resurrection of Lazarus, Jhn 11:4, 40; the "glory" of God was exhibited in the resurrection of Christ, Rom 6:4, and in His ascension and exaltation, 1Pe 1:21, likewise on the Mount of Transfiguration, 2Pe 1:17. In Rom 1:23 His "everlasting power and Divinity" are spoken of as His "glory," i.e., His attributes and power as revealed through creation; in Rom 3:23 the word denotes the manifested perfection of His character, especially His righteousness, of which all men fall short; in Col 1:11 "the might of His glory" signifies the might which is characteristic of His "glory;" in Eph 1:6, 12, 14, "the praise of the glory of His grace" and "the praise of His glory" signify the due acknowledgement of the exhibition of His attributes and ways; in Eph 1:17, "the Father of glory" describes Him as the source from whom all Divine splendor and perfection proceed in their manifestation, and to whom they belong;
(b) of the character and ways of God as exhibited through Christ to and through believers, 2Cr 3:18; 4:6;
(c) of the state of blessedness into which believers are to enter hereafter through being brought into the likeness of Christ, e.g., Rom 8:18, 21; Phl 3:21 (RV, "the body of His glory"); 1Pe 5:1, 10; Rev 21:11;
(d) brightness or splendor,
(1) supernatural, emanating from God (as in the Shekinah "glory," in the pillar of cloud and in the Holy of Holies, e.g., Exd 16:10; 25:22), Luk 2:9; Act 22:11; Rom 9:4; 2Cr 3:7; Jam 2:1; in Tts 2:13 it is used of Christ's return "the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ" (RV); cp. Phl 3:21, above;
 Eze 43:10 ASV - Thou, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.       Bayith /  in hebrew is house or temple , and are we not the temple of the Holy Ghost .
Pattern in Hebrew  measurement, pattern, proportion ,   Jesus was the fathers perfect pattern of his righteousness his perfection was in his obedience to his fathers word .
         Jhn 4:32 ASV - But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not.
Jhn 4:33 ASV - The disciples therefore said one to another, Hath any man brought him aught to eat?
Jhn 4:34 ASV - Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.
Col 1:19 KJV - For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Col 1:20 KJV - And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Col 1:21 KJV - And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Col 1:22 KJV - In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
Col 1:23 KJV - If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Col 1:24 KJV - Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his Body's sake, which is the church:

Body, Bodily:   Greek: soma
is "the body as a whole, the instrument of life," whether of man living, e.g., Mat 6:22, or dead, Mat 27:52; or in resurrection, 1Cr 15:44; or beasts, Hbr 13:11; of grain, 1Cr 15:37, 38; of the heavenly hosts, 1Cr 15:40. In Rev 18:13 it is translated "slaves." In its figurative uses the essential idea is preserved.
Sometimes the word stands, by synecdoche, for "the complete man," Mat 5:29; 6:22; Rom 12:1; Jam 3:6; Rev 18:13. Sometimes the person is identified with his or her "body," Act 9:37; 13:36, and this is so even of the Lord Jesus, Jhn 19:40 with 42. The "body" is not the man, for he himself can exist apart from his "body," 2Cr 12:2, 3. The "body" is an essential part of the man and therefore the redeemed are not perfected till the resurrection, Hbr 11:40; no man in his final state will be without his "body," Jhn 5:28, 29; Rev 20:13.
The word is also used for physical nature, as distinct from pneuma, "the spiritual nature," e.g., 1Cr 5:3, and from psuche, "the soul," e.g., 1Th 5:23. "Soma, 'body,' and pneuma, 'spirit,' may be separated; pneuma and psuche, 'soul,' can only be distinguished

 Luk 12:42 ASV - And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?
Luk 12:43 ASV - Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Luk 12:49 ASV - I came to cast fire upon the earth; and what do I desire, if it is already kindled?
Luk 12:50 ASV - But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
 Baptism, Baptist, Baptize:    Greek: baptisma
"baptism," consisting of the processes of immersion, submersion and emergence (from bapto, "to dip"), is used
(a) of John's "baptism,"  in water a type of a repentant mans spiritual burial
There are two baptism's here , one is unto repentance .  That being in  Rom 6
Rom 6:3 ASV - Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 ASV - For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection;
Rom 6:6 ASV - knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;

And the baptisim of Fire
of the overwhelming afflictions and judgments to which the Lord voluntarily submitted on the Cross, e.g., Luk 12:50;
(d) of the sufferings His followers would experience, not of a vicarious character, but in fellowship with the sufferings of their Master.

Luke 12: 49-51  Amp     I have come to cast fire (judgment) on the earth; and how I wish that it were already kindled! 50. I have a baptism [of great suffering] with which to be baptized, and how [greatly] I am distressed until it is accomplished! 51. Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division [between believers and unbelievers]
 John said the one that is coming after me is greater than I
Luk 3:16 ASV - John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:   Greek: pur Fire:
        of the holiness of God, which consumes all that is inconsistent therewith, Hbr 10:27; 12:29; cp. Rev 1:14; 2:18; 10:1; 15:2; 19:12; similarly of the holy angels as His ministers, Hbr 1:7; in Rev 3:18 it is symbolic of that which tries the faith of saints, producing what will glorify the Lord
1Co 15:22 ASV - For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Jhn 16:12 ASV - I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Mark 16: 15-20 The Apostels Doctrine

                                                    Jos 4:1 ASV - And it came to pass, when all the nation were Clean passed over the Jordan, that Jehovah spake unto Joshua, saying,      Jos 4:2 ASV - Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.  Jhn 15:3   Already ye are Clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.                            Clean       tä·mam'  Hebrew    to be complete, be finished, be at an end , to be finished, be completed
1.    completely, wholly, entirely (as auxiliary with verb)
to be finished, come to an end, cease
to be complete (of number)
to be consumed, be exhausted, be spent

Clean in the Greek
clean, pure
  1. physically
    1. purified by fire
    2. in a similitude, like a vine cleansed by pruning and so fitted to bear fruit

1Th 5:22 ASV - abstain from every form of evil.  Holiness comes through Christ we are the righteousness of God through Christ.   1Pe 1:15 ASV - but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living;   Your God requires sanctification from this world,  that you separate your self's from this world and be ye holy.   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.   Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.    Rom 8:2 ASV - For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
1Co 15:56 ASV - The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law:
1Jo 2:15 ASV - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Jhn 15:19 ASV - If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
1Jo 3:1 ASV - Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Th 5:23 ASV - And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jordan = "descender" Whole (Made), Wholly, Wholesome:   Greek: holoteles"wholly," 1Th 5:23, is lit., "whole-complete" (A, No. 1, and telos, "an end"), i.e., "through and through;" the Apostle's desire is that the sanctification of the believer may extend to every part of his being. The word is similar in meaning to No. 4; holokleros draws attention to the person as a "whole," holoteles, to the several parts which constitute him.

Jos 4:2 ASV - Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,         Mat 10:2 ASV - Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Rev 21:14 ASV - And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.                                                                                                  Mat 16:15 ASV - He saith unto them, But who say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16 ASV - And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 ASV - And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 16:18 ASV - And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 ASV - I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.    Jos 4-2   This scripture is another type and shadow a prophecy of the coming salvation of the whole creation.  Everything is hinged upon the coming of Christ and he came to show us who is the father.  The twelve stones are the Apostles doctrine the word made flesh and he dwell among them .  What does Genesis have to do with Revelations it has Everything to do with man today based on his salvation .                Jhn 1:1 ASV - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jhn 1:2 ASV - The same was in the beginning with God.
Jhn 1:3 ASV - All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.
 Jos 4:3 ASV - and command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and carry them over with you, and lay them down in the lodging-place, where ye shall lodge this night.
Jos 4:4 ASV - Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:        This is prophetic as to when Jesus chose out twelve men to be the messengers of his fathers gospel to be Apostles  ,             2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.                2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
Rom 16:17 ASV - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.
Eph 4:14 ASV - that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
1Ti 6:3 ASV - If any man teacheth a different doctrine, and consenteth not to sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
Jos 4:5 ASV - and Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of Jehovah your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;       The stone the builders rejected Christ the corner stone ,   These men were a type a shadow of the Apostles in the scripture  Luk 6:13 ASV - And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:    They carried this stone upon their shoulders they also had a cross to carry ,  this was not a small stone it was symbolic of the great weight of the gospel that Jesus told Peter I will build my church upon this truth this foundation .     Luk 24:44 ASV - And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.      Act 9:15 ASV - But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel:
Act 9:16 ASV - for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name's sake.

Jos 4:6 ASV - that this may be a sign among you, that, when your children ask in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?     Matt 12:39  But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.     Luke 11:30   For even as Jonah became a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

Jos 4:7 ASV - then ye shall say unto them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah; when it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever .      Jos 3 :16 ASV   that the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap, a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those that went down toward the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.    The city of Adam another type and shadow of the coming of the Messiah .  Jesus spoke of a cross for every man to bear an instrument of suffering .  Is was his final destination for his life on this earth and he became our Passover Lamb ,  he bore the sins of the world unto remission,  he became that physical sacrifice for our spiritual sacrifice.
1Co 15:42 ASV - So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co 15:43 ASV - it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1Co 15:44 ASV - it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
1Co 15:46 ASV - Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual.
1Co 15:47 ASV - The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.

The first Adam has mankind cut off through the nature of the flesh being born of Adam and his curse,  just as the harvest water had the children of God cut off from their promise land .   It is about death , burial and resurrection  The serpent on the pole that Moses rose up before the plague of the fiery serpent , it stood between the children and the plague of death  . A brass serpent on the pole ,    and the pole being the cross and the brass was a symbol of sin and the judgement of sin.   Isa 53:12 ASV - Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

 Jos 3:15 ASV - and when they that bare the ark were come unto the Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (for the Jordan overfloweth all its banks all the time of harvest,)    It was the time of Harvest .
Jhn 4:35 ASV - Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.
  Harvest:    Greek: therismos      the crop," figuratively, Mat 9:37, 38; Luk 10:2; Rev 14:15. The beginning of "harvest" varied according to natural conditions, but took place on the average about the middle of April in the eastern lowlands of Palestine, in the latter part of the month in the coast plains and a little later in high districts. Barley "harvest" usually came first and then wheat. "Harvesting" lasted about seven weeks, and was the occasion of festivities.
This is more than symbolic it is prophetic to our day ,  they were separated from their promised land by this great river of flooding .  It is the waters of separation being obedient to the gospel of Jesus Christ and he was sent to preach his fathers gospel .       Mar 1:14 ASV - Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,
Eph 5:25 ASV - Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
Eph 5:26 ASV - that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
Eph 5:27 ASV - that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Jesus said it is a commandant to be baptized in water for the remission of your sins ,  Jesus told John the baptist to baptize him so that all Righteousness may be fulfilled .         Act 1:5 ASV - For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.
Act 2:38 ASV - And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
1Pe 3:18 ASV - Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
1Pe 3:19 ASV - in which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison,
1Pe 3:20 ASV - that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:
1Pe 3:21 ASV - which also after a true likeness doth now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;

     Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.

And it came to pass, when all the nation were CLEAN passed over the Jordan, that Jehovah spake unto Joshua, saying,       Clean       tä·mam'  Hebrew    to be complete, be finished, be at an end , to be finished, be completed
1.    completely, wholly, entirely (as auxiliary with verb)
to be finished, come to an end, cease
to be complete (of number)
to be consumed, be exhausted, be spent
Jordan = "descender"
1.    the river of Palestine running from the roots of Anti-Lebanon to the Dead Sea a distance of approx 200 miles (320 km)
This is a spiritual type of water baptism for the children of Israel , a type and a shadow of better things to come . The better things to come is Jesus Christ and his sacrifice unto eternal salvation.     Death ,burial and resurrection .
1Co 15:42 ASV 1Co 15:42 ASV - So also is the resurrection of the dead.

An Abiding City ,The City Which Is To Come

 Mat 24:14 ASV - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.
Mat 24:15 ASV - When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),
Mat 24:16 ASV - then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:
Mat 24:17 ASV - let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:   Mat 24:18 ASV - and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak
Mat 13:38 ASV - and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom;           They obey the true gospel of God they are  sons of God !         and the tares are the sons of the evil one;  The sons of the evil one are they that have believed the false Gospel of men,   another gospel.  No repentance in their life or they have a repentance that is regretted  !     not being truly sorry for their sins.   2Co 7:10 ASV - For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
 There is no cross in their Gospel no sacrifice of their flesh .   Rom 12:1    I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.   Jesus said all true believers have a cross to bear , a cross is an instrument suffering , putting to death the deeds of our flesh .  Our altar is our cross , we fall on our cross daily and pour out our life before the Lord he righteous and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanses us of all unrighteousness .  If we fail the Lord he does not condemn us he leads us into paths of righteousness for his name sake.   If we are faithless he remains faithful because he cannot deny himself.  You are the righteousness of God in Christ .  if we Love him we will obey his commandants , if we call him Lord than we follow what his word tells us which is the way the truth and the Life .
Mat 10:38 ASV - And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.    Phl 3:10 ASV - that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;   Power  Ability, Able:   Greek: dunamis"power, ability," physical or moral, as residing in a person or thing;  Resurrection:    Greek: anastasis  "a raising up," or "rising" (ana, "up," and histemi, "to cause to stand"), Luk 2:34, "the rising up;" the AV "again" obscures the meaning; the Child would be like a stone against which many in Israel would stumble while many others would find in its strength and firmness a means of their salvation and spiritual life;
Sufferings   Afflict (-ed), Affliction:   Greek: pathemab   of the sufferings of Christ, signifies "destined to suffer from pathos, "suffering," signifies "affliction
Conformed    Conformed, Conformable: Greek: summorphizo  "to make of like form with another person or thing, to render like" (sun, "with," morphe, "a form"), is found in Phl 3:10 (in the Passive Participle of the verb), "becoming conformed" (or "growing into conformity") to the death of Christ, indicating the practical apprehension of the death of the carnal self, and fulfilling his share of the sufferings following upon the sufferings of Christ
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  Rom 8:3 ASV - For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:    It is very important here to grasp water baptism and the revelation of that commandant .  Jesus was baptized by John , he had no sin in him he was the Lamb with out spot or wrinkle.  John said as he saw him coming behold the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world .  There is no shadow in his turning he was the light of the word coming into man Jhn 1:4 ASV - In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few.
( 1Pe 4:7 ASV - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer: )  ,   This verse catches men unaware of the signs of the times ( We thought we had more time  )   Living a worldly life being influenced by the world and the lust of that worldly life.   V 38    and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one.
  1Co 15:36 ASV - Thou foolish one, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it die:
1Co 15:37 ASV - and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other kind;
1Co 15:38 ASV - but God giveth it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
1Co 15:41 ASV - There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.
1Co 15:42 ASV - So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co 15:43 ASV - it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
 Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.         Conformed  Rom 12:2 being outwardly "conformed" to the things of this age is contrasted with being "transformed" (or transfigured) inwardly by the renewal of the thoughts through the Holy Spirit's power. A similar distinction holds good in Phl 3:21; the Lord will "fashion anew," or change outwardly, the body of our humiliation, and "conform" it in its nature (summorphos) to the body of His glory  to conform one's self (i.e. one's mind and character) to another's pattern, (fashion one's self according to)
Mat 13:23 ASV - And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.     Jesus said he must go away so the promise of the father will come .
 Luk 24:49 ASV - And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.    Jesus told Nicodemus you must  be born again of the water and the spirit .  The water is the word of God the washing of regeneration the washing of the pure word .  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.   the body the bride of Christ .   Body Greek: soma Body, Bodily:      The word is also used for physical nature, as distinct from pneuma, "the spiritual nature," e.g., 1Cr 5:3, and from psuche, "the soul," e.g., 1Th 5:23. "Soma, 'body,' and pneuma, 'spirit,' may be separated; pneuma and psuche, 'soul,' can only be distinguished   It is also used metaphorically, of the mystic Body of Christ, with reference to the whole Church, e.g., Eph 1:23; Col 1:18, 22, 24; also of a local church, 1Cr 12:27
Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
 Jhn 1:18 ASV - No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.    Jesus came to show the father to the world ,         Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jhn 14:7 ASV - If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Jhn 14:8 ASV - Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.  It is imperative that the called of God understand the truth of this verse ,  to be truly born of God is to be filled with his spirit , endued with his power .   Mark 16 is still alive and working with the power Jesus spoke of .    Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God  .   That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.    1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.   Adam gave us his flesh and Jesus gave us eternal life .  Rom 5:10 ASV - For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;
2Co 5:18 ASV - But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;
Col 1:22 ASV - yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

Jhn 14:9 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?   Jesus said his father is   spirit and those that worship him must worship him in truth and in Spirit .  2Co 5:16 ASV - Wherefore we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
2Co 5:17 ASV - Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.
Jhn 14:10 ASV - Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.

Mat 13:24 ASV - Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field:
Mat 13:25 ASV - but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.         Slept  Asleep, Sleep:   Greek: katheudo   of carnal indifference to spiritual things on the part of believers, Eph 5:14; 1Th 5:6, 10 (as in Mar 13:36), a condition of insensibility to Divine things involving conformity to the world  to be indifferent to one's salvation . Another sobering verse is of the ten virgins                              Matt 25 :1-13
Virgin        of "a local church" in its relation to Christ, 2Cr 11:2;
(f) metaphorically of "chaste persons," Rev 14:4.
  a man who has abstained from all uncleanness and whoredom attendant on idolatry, and so has kept his chastity  .
Rev 21:2 ASV - And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven of God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.
Bride, Bridechamber, Bridegroom:  Greek: numphe
For the relationship between Christ and a local church, under this figure, see 2Cr 11:2; regarding the whole Church, Eph 5:23-32; Rev 22:17.
The Holy the Elect the body of Christ    Gal 3:28 ASV - There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus.        Mar 12:25 ASV - For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven.
Mat 13:37 ASV - And he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Asleep, Sleep:   Greek: katheudo   of carnal indifference to spiritual things on the part of believers, Eph 5:14; 1Th 5:6, 10 (as in Mar 13:36), a condition of insensibility to Divine things involving conformity to the world  to be indifferent to one's salvation
Mat 24:18 ASV - and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
FIELD  Country:    Greek: agros denotes "a field, especially a cultivated field;" hence, "the country" in contrast to the town (Eng., "agrarian, agriculture"), e.g., Mar 5:14; 6:36; 15:21; 16:12; Luk 8:34; 9:12 (plural, lit., "fields"); 23:26; a piece of ground, e.g., Mar 10:29; Act 4:37.
 Cloak          Apparel, Apparelled:   Greek: himation
a diminutive of heima, "a robe," was used especially of an outer cloak or mantle, and in general of raiment, "apparel" in 1Pe 3:3. The word is not in the original in the next verse, but is supplied in English to complete the sentence.
See CLOTHING, No. 2, GARMENT, RAIMENT, ROBE.
 1Co 15:47 ASV - The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.
1Co 15:49 ASV - And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Mat 24:19 ASV - But woe unto them that are with Child and to them that give suck in those days!        Child   Ability, Able:   Greek: echo
"to have," is translated "your ability" in 2Cr 8:11, and "ye may be able" in 2Pe 1:15, and is equivalent to the phrase "to have the means of."
Suck     Suck (Give Suck), Suckling:     Greek: thelazo
from thele, "a breast," is used
(a) of the mother, "to suckle," Mat 24:19; Mar 13:17; Luk 21:23; in some texts in Luk 23:29 (the best have trepho);
(b) of the young, "to suck," Mat 21:16, "sucklings;" Luk 11:27.
 But solid food is for fullgrown men ,     For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.     For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.     But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil .      Skilled in the word of righteousness
This verse runs parallel with  1Co 13:10-13      ASV - but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.    If all the gifts are gone then so must the gift of faith also right . The bible says Rom 11:29 ASV - For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of.     It is coming into a mature man being made into the image of Christ himself ,  growing up into all things righteous . God had to have a body to manifest himself to the world ,  but that body died and resurrected in newness of life .  1Co 15:53 ASV - For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 ASV - But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Pe 1:23 ASV - having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.
Mat 24:17 ASV - let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:    1Co 3:1 ASV - And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.  The four verses above are speaking of a mans spiritual condition .        Heb 5:12 ASV - For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
Heb 5:13 ASV - For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 ASV - But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to Discern Good and Evil. !
 Luk 11:27 ASV - And it came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the breasts which thou didst suck.         This woman was  Comparing the spiritual to the flesh       Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.    We are no longer children    Luk 11:28 ASV - But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.                    Luk 8:20 ASV - And it was told him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
Luk 8:21 ASV - But he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God, and do it.     The body of Christ
The great hindrance  to Gods called people in his Church today  ,  is the belief that all of this died ceased with the last Apostle .         It is called the doctrine of cessation  ,  it is what the bible calls doctrine of men.     1Ti 4:1 ASV - But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,
1Ti 4:2 ASV - through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron;
Mar 7:13 ASV - making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do.
    Corban   a gift offered to God," Mar 7:11. Jews were much addicted to rash vows; a saying of the Rabbis was, "It is hard for the parents, but the law is clear, vows must be kept."    Mark 7:11   Another gospel a law unto themselves ,  neglecting the true word for another word.   I believe that pride motivated this error these men are like the same men that would stand up and pray loud repetitious prayers just to be heard ,  religious and proud . And Jesus said they are neglecting their mothers and fathers .  Making void the word of God

    This word below must be operating in the church,  the ministry Jesus gave to his church for the perfecting of his children.  It is his promise his word  of grace to his church.
 Heb    2:1 ASV - Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.
Heb 2:2 ASV - For if the word spoken through angels proved stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
Heb 2:3 ASV - how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard;
Heb 2:4 ASV - God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.      Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.
Mar 16:17 ASV - And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 ASV - they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Eph 4:11 ASV - And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 ASV - for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 ASV - till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Eph 4:14 ASV - that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
Eph 4:15 ASV - but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ;
 Heb 4:9 ASV - There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.

A Stay Of Execution

                     There is a word below from a brother living in America .   A blog he wrote recently, and I consider it a confirmation to the recent things I have felt in my spirit and related to you in my previous blogs .  The Lord has given us a stay of judgement for a time of testing .  It is a time of repentance and getting into the presence of God daily.    Getting alone in our closets and waiting on the Lord .     There was women waking from a dream just days before the election said the Lord spoke to her that there would be five days of grace coming for this nation.   And I know there are many people that have been praying faithfully for this very thing , That our father would give us Grace and Mercy ,    a stay of judgement for the lost yet to come and the ones living in sin not living a faithful life before the Lord .  As I was praying one morning I was reminded of Lot and his living in Sodom , just as today .      The bible says that Abraham standing before the Lord ask if there be fifty righteous will you spare the city .  The Lord said if there be fifty yes I will spare the city  .      Abraham pleaded with God all the way down to ten if there be ten Lord will you spare the city .    The Lord said if there be ten I will spare the city .  God was merciful to Lot and his family yet they had to be dragged out of Sodom by there hands Angels were sent to deliver Lot and his family  .

Gen 18:32 ASV - And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the ten's sake.
Gen 19:29 ASV - And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.
It says that God remembered Abraham and his pleading for mercy for the souls of men , Lot and his family .  There was only one righteous soul in Sodom it was Lot ! and God brought them out by the hands of angels .

2Pe 2:6 ASV - and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, having made them an example unto those that should live ungodly;
2Pe 2:7 ASV - and delivered righteous Lot, sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked.   Are we living in a place like Sodom today is judgement of God still coming to this nation .  The word in Matt 24 says yes and his mercy has been extended to this nation for a season with this recent election .

Rev 22:10 ASV - And he saith unto me, Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand.
Rev 22:11 ASV - He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still.
Rev 22:12 ASV - Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is.

   A stay of execution    by Michael Boldea Jr.

A stay of execution does not a pardon make. I realize that for the individual being walked up the gallows, feeling the rough noose slipping over his head and feeling it tighten around his neck the distinction is meaningless at best, but once he has had time to process, once he has had time to assess, once he has time to come to terms with the reality that he will live to see another sunrise, eventually, inevitably, he will be confronted with the unyielding reality that sooner or later the walk down the gallows will commence anew, and the feel of the tightening rope will once more be a reality.

What happened in America last night was a stay of execution. It was not a pardon. We must be very clear about this because I know as surely as I am sitting here that the voices will begin to chirp anew insisting that God has somehow forgiven a nation that never repented of its sins, and that He has somehow restored a nation that has never humbled itself. Just because we managed to dodge a protracted, painful, and pernicious suicide by political correctness last night, it does not mean that we have somehow come into fellowship with God anew as a nation.

It simply means that God has shown this nation grace, He has stayed its judgment for a season, and if true change is not evident beginning with the church and sweeping out from there, when next He weighs us, when next He will be called upon to once more decide whether He will stay our execution or allow judgment to be poured forth, we will be judged not only for what we are profoundly guilty of up until this point, but also for the season of grace we will have once again squandered from here on in.

Yes, I do believe last night was an act of sovereign grace. If this election had gone the other way, I am certain we would have been at war with Russia within six months of Madame Chairman Rodham being sworn in, and that the persecution against the household of faith would have been accelerated to a breakneck speed.

A merciful God has once more shown this nation mercy, and now it is up to us to decide what we will do with the mercy we’ve been given. It is up to us to decide what we will do with the reprieve and stay of execution that was handed down by the Judge of the Universe.

This is just the first of many critical moments we will have to face as a nation, and if you think it will be rainbows and kittens from here on in you are fooling yourself.

So, yes, take a second, breathe a sigh of relief, say a prayer of thanks, enjoy the sunshine on your face, but then roll up your sleeves and get to work. Not tonight, not tomorrow, not next week, not whenever we get around to it and we have nothing left on our agenda.

The countdown clock has already started ticking, and in what will seem like the blink of an eye this nation’s case will once more be up for review. What we do from this point to that will determine whether we still have a future, and whether our stay of execution will once more be extended.

Do I believe that we’ve avoided judgment altogether? No, I do not, but the best we could have ever hoped for was a reprieve, a delay, a season of grace wherein we could return to the purity of simply being about our Father’s business and preaching Jesus unashamedly once more.

We have so much work to do, and time is shorter than we might think.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

Embracing The Hope Of Glory

                                           Now Jesus, full of [and in perfect communication with] the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness 2. for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they ended, He was hungry. 3 Then the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to turn into bread.” 4 Jesus replied to him, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.  Bread (Loaf):     Greek: artos Bread     metaphorically, "of Christ as the Bread of God, and of Life," Jhn 6:33, 35;   "food in general," the necessities for the sustenance of life, Mat 6:11; 2Cr 9:10, etc.   Jesus is saying here that there is something much more important than feeding our flesh , we eat to live not live to eat .  That is why fasting is one of the most important things we can do in our walk with God ,  fasting becomes a spiritual mirror to our soul . Isa 58   Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh .  We fast to afflict our souls so we can through the Holy Ghost see our selfs as God sees us.  David said Psa 139:23 KJV - Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
Psa 139:24 KJV - And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Jer 17:9 ASV - The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?       Mat 6:16 ASV - Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen of men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.  Jesus says here When you fast not if you decide to fast.    Listen it is the cross that you bear that will keep you holy that will cause you to seek for greater understanding through the spirit it says puting on the mind of Christ .   Jhn 4:21 ASV - Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.    Jesus said that the kingdom of God comes not with observation , men are looking for a building to call the church , Jesus said tear down this building and I will rebuild it in three days and he did through resurrection life ! he abides in the hearts of men God now abides in your heart .  From stone to flesh God is after our hearts our very souls .  Jesus said that you bear much fruit , every kind of fruit has a seed to regenerated itself .     1Co 15:38 ASV - but God giveth it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.    We are earthy people born of flesh Jesus came to give us life everlasting through Gods word.   The parable of the seed Jesus being the sower of that seed .     Mat 13:3 ASV - And he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow;       some seeds fell by the way side others fell upon the rocky places  others fell upon the thorns .     Mat 13:8 ASV - and others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.   The seed is the word of God and it only grows on the foundation of this gospel .  It says that others fell upon the good ground , its all about the heart of a man that is the good ground .
Rom 10:10 ASV - for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Pro 14:14 ASV - The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways; And a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

 Jhn 4:23 ASV - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers.
Jhn 4:24 ASV - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Jhn 4:32 ASV - But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not.   When we fast this is the bread we eat ,  the word of God it will sustain us and keep us  Jhn 6:51 ASV - I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.
Jhn 4:34 ASV - Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.      Meat     Food:    Greek: broma
akin to No. 3, frequently translated "meat," and always so in the AV except in Mat 14:15, "victuals," is rendered "food" in the RV in Mat 14:15; Luk 3:11; 9:13.
Man shall not live by bread alone , but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God   That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.    We were born to die if you can grasp this .  Adam was a living soul and Jesus was a life giving spirit .  At the very beginning of his ministry Jesus said you have a cross to bear and if you do not pick up your cross and follow me you are not worthy of me.    Jesus was walking towards his cross for you and I.    He was Gods example unto mankind he was the Pattern son .

Jhn 3:3 ASV - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jhn 3:4 ASV - Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jhn 3:5 ASV - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!
Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Jhn 3:7 ASV - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.
Jhn 1:11 ASV - He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  Here is the life giving spirit believing and receiving Christ .  We were born to die Adams blood condemned us to death , but by his cross we are born again to newness of that life which he lived there is perfection in Christ the word made flesh .  We go from being captive in this world living in darkness blind and broken ,  Jesus the anointed came and brought light to us through his fathers will  that all that believe upon him and his cross of regeneration shall be saved .  Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.   2Co 5:17 ASV - Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.
2Co 5:18 ASV - But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 ASV - to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Jhn 1:14 ASV - And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.
 5 Then he led Jesus up [to a high mountain] and displayed before Him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth [and their magnificence] in the twinkling of an eye. 6 And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this realm and its glory [its power, its renown]; because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore if You worship before me, it will all be Yours.” 8 Jesus replied to him, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.’”9 Then he led Jesus to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle (highest point) of the temple, and said [mockingly] to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; 10 for it is written and forever remains written,
‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard and protect You,’
11 and,‘they will lift You up on their hands,  So that You do not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
12 Jesus replied to him, “It is said [in Scripture], ‘you shall not tempt the Lord your God [to prove Himself to you].’”
13 When the devil had finished every temptation, he [temporarily] left Him until a more opportune time.
 Then he led Jesus up [to a high mountain] and displayed before Him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth [and their magnificence] in the twinkling of an eye  And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this realm and its glory [its power, its renown]; because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore if You worship before me, it will all be Yours .    What are we seeing here in this verse satan is saying he owns all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth .     Kingdom:  Greek: basileia          the sphere in which, at any given time, His rule is acknowledged. God has not relinquished His sovereignty in the face of rebellion, demoniac and human, but has declared His purpose to establish it, Dan 2:44; 7:14; 1Cr 15:24, 25. Meantime, seeking willing obedience, He gave His law to a nation and appointed kings to administer His "kingdom" over it, 1Ch 28:5. Israel, however, though declaring still a nominal allegiance shared in the common rebellion, Isa 1:2-4, and, after they had rejected the Son of God, Jhn 1:11 (cp. Mat 21:33-43), were "cast away," Rom 11:15, 20, 25. Henceforth God calls upon men everywhere, without distinction of race or nationality, to submit voluntarily to His rule. Thus the "kingdom" is said to be "in mystery" now, Mar 4:11, that is, it does not come within the range of the natural powers of observation, Luk 17:20, but is spiritually discerned, Jhn 3:3 (cp. 1Cr 2:14). When, hereafter, God asserts His rule universally, then the "kingdom" will be in glory, that is, it will be manifest to all; cp. Mat 25:31-34; Phl 2:9-11; 2Ti 4:1, 18.
Jas 2:5 ASV - Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?
1Jo 3:1 ASV - Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Rom 12:1 ASV - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.    This verse says to get on your cross and stay there which is your spiritual service ,  .   To present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God
Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Fashioned    Fashion:    Greek: suschematizo

  being outwardly "conformed" to the things of this age is contrasted with being "transformed" (or transfigured) inwardly by the renewal of the thoughts through the Holy Spirit's power. A similar distinction holds good in Phl 3:21; the Lord will "fashion anew," or change outwardly, the body of our humiliation, and "conform" it in its nature (summorphos) to the body of His glory.   to conform one's self (i.e. one's mind and character) to another's pattern, (fashion one's self according to)
Transfigure:  Greek: metamorphoo
of believers, Rom 12:2, "be ye transformed," the obligation being to undergo a complete change which, under the power of God, will find expression in character and conduct; morphe lays stress on the inward change, schema (see the preceding verb in that verse, suschematizo) lays stress on the outward (see FASHION, No. 3, FORM, No. 2); the present continuous tenses indicate a process; 2Cr 3:18 describes believers as being "transformed (RV) into the same image" (i.e., of Christ in all His moral excellencies), the change being effected by the Holy Spirit.
 Renew, Renewing (Verb and Noun):   Greek: anakainosis
akin to A, No. 1, "a renewal," is used in Rom 12:2, "the renewing (of your mind)," i.e., the adjustment of the moral and spiritual vision and thinking to the mind of God, which is designed to have a transforming effect upon the life; in Tts 3:5, where "the renewing of the Holy Spirit" is not a fresh bestowment of the Spirit, but a revival of His power, developing the Christian life; this passage stresses the continual operation of the indwelling Spirit of God; the Romans passage stresses the willing response on the part of the believer.

 Mind (Noun and Verb):    Greek: nous
the new nature, which belongs to the believer by reason of the new birth, Rom 7:23, 25, where it is contrasted with "the flesh," the principle of evil which dominates fallen man. Under (b) may come 2Th 2:2, where it stands for the determination to be steadfast amidst afflictions, through the confident expectation of the day of rest and recompense mentioned in the first chapter
The truth in these two scriptures is profound and it is reveling the mystery of Gods word to his children .  If we eat this word feed upon his word daily  , consume this glorious word of truth . It will renew our minds it will revel the mind of Christ unto us ,  Rom 13:12 ASV - The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Rom 13:14 ASV - But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Phl 2:5 ASV - Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
1Pe 4:1 ASV - Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;   We cannot sin if we are staying on our cross , the cross is an instrument of suffering .  The altar we fall on is our cross and we endure the cross for the sake of him who loved us and gave us eternal life by staying on this cross we will becme worthy of his sacrifice.
Col 1:9 ASV - For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Col 1:10 ASV - to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:11 ASV - strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy;
Col 1:12 ASV - giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
Col 1:13 ASV - who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;
Col 1:14 ASV - in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
Col 1:25 ASV - whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you-ward, to fulfil the word of God,
Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory:

    Glory, Glorious:   Greek: doxa

 (a) of the nature and acts of God in self-manifestation, i.e., what He essentially is and does, as exhibited in whatever way he reveals Himself in these respects, and particularly in the person of Christ, in whom essentially His "glory" has ever shone forth and ever will do, Jhn 17:5, 24; Hbr 1:3; it was exhibited in the character and acts of Christ in the days of His flesh, Jhn 1:14; Jhn 2:11; at Cana both His grace and His power were manifested, and these constituted His "glory;" so also in the resurrection of Lazarus, Jhn 11:4, 40; the "glory" of God was exhibited in the resurrection of Christ, Rom 6:4, and in His ascension and exaltation, 1Pe 1:21, likewise on the Mount of Transfiguration, 2Pe 1:17. In Rom 1:23 His "everlasting power and Divinity" are spoken of as His "glory," i.e., His attributes and power as revealed through creation; in Rom 3:23 the word denotes the manifested perfection of His character, especially His righteousness, of which all men fall short; in Col 1:11 "the might of His glory" signifies the might which is characteristic of His "glory;" in Eph 1:6, 12, 14, "the praise of the glory of His grace" and "the praise of His glory" signify the due acknowledgement of the exhibition of His attributes and ways; in Eph 1:17, "the Father of glory" describes Him as the source from whom all Divine splendor and perfection proceed in their manifestation, and to whom they belong;
(b) of the character and ways of God as exhibited through Christ to and through believers, 2Cr 3:18; 4:6;
