And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.     Luk 24:45 ASV - Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures;  Mind      reason in the narrower sense, as the capacity for spiritual truth, the higher powers of the soul, the faculty of perceiving divine things, of recognizing goodness and of hating evil

Jesus used parables to explain the mind of man and his reasoning .  A fellow was traveling some where in Louisiana late in the evening when he saw something up front of him  the highway was uneven not right so he slowed to see what it was .  As he got closer he realized the bridge was out        It had been rammed by a large ship that had got lost in the darkness . He realized that there was people coming behind him and he park and got out quickly to warn them of the bridge being out . As he would wave his arms and scream to warn them they would speed by him and eventually off the end of the broken area of the bridge.  One after one they raced past him off into the darkness of the water .    So goes all the parables of Jesus in his word ,  I believe the man that was able to see the destruction before he got to it , because he was able to hear the spirit of God warning him of impending danger and  that is the  principle  of all the parables .   God is warning his people today that there is sudden destruction if you continue in your present direction.  Jhn 10:27 ASV - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:   How do we know his voice today ,  by his word and his spirit ! he said he would come and abide in you and you in him .  I will say that I have been very careful not to offend any of Gods sheep . I only hope to bring the truth and Apollos waters and God gives the increase .   Ask the Lord for the truth to bring the truth to you ,  Christ in you the hope of glory .  It is all about Jesus and him crucified for mankind ,  he is the regeneration the renewing of man ,  the reconciliation unto God through his cross.

Mat 13:10 ASV - And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Mat 13:11 ASV - And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.   Because you believe you are given the ability to understand , this is about the Jews of that time ,  apostate religion and arrogance of pride is the same today as then .   Jesus said I came to you as a mother hen to gather her chicks under my wings but you would not.    Luk 13:34 ASV - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!     And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ,  of sin, because they believe not on me.  Jesus is speaking here of the promise of the father to you ! the power of God to walk in his will. Jesus is saying today to you  just as in the book of   Act 1:8 ASV - But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

In this passage according to scripture in   1Co 15:4 ASV - and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:5 ASV - and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve;
1Co 15:6 ASV - then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;   Above five hundred were there that day ,  but only one hundred and twenty were in the upper room when the promise of the Holy Spirit was given . Was it because of pre selection of God for just those people ?   are was it a lack of faith or doubt . Jesus said John was the greatest born of a women then he says in that same verse     Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.  God is no respecter  of men he sees you and I as being just as important as John .   The bible speaks of the gifts that Jesus gave to the Church just before he ascended to the father.         
Eph 4:11 ASV - And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 ASV - for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 ASV - till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a full grown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
I would like to point out that Paul wrote the letter to Ephesians and the letter to the Corinthians .  With the same revelation to both churches
   
 1Co 13:8 ASV - Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away.
1Co 13:9 ASV - For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
1Co 13:10 ASV - but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.   When we fully manifest Christ in us and that is the whole church not a few that  ,   a full grown mature man in Christ Jesus .  Eph 4:13 ASV - till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a full grown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:   He is speaking about the body of Christ the church being perfected .  
1Co 13:11 ASV - When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things.
1Co 13:12 ASV - For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.

 This is a gift of God to the church until the very end of all things.   It is a matter of your heart it is do you truly believe Jesus came in the flesh is he the son of God is this all real or just another religion .   I believe this is why only one hundred and twenty obeyed his words and went and waited for the promise .  Its not pre selection of some and not of others ,  God is no respecter of persons a soul is what he sees. It is that these people were hungry for his words of life they were believing him and his promise of life everlasting.  The devil is attacking the minds of Gods people daily ,   through temptations ,trials family and friends . Jesus was tempted just as we are today but he over came him by the word of his testimony it is written . Remember the helmet of salvation putting on this truth and standing the test of time having the shield of faith to repel the fiery darts from satan. The word says if we you and I SUBMIT therefore unto God and RESIST the devil he will FLEE.  We have the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions . Behold I give you power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall harm you.    Do we believe that ! remember these signs shall follow those who Believe .     
2Co 10:3   AMP    For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. 4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete. This is the will of God for us all ,     Rom 8:13 ASV - for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

1Co 12:4 ASV - Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1Co 12:5 ASV - And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.
1Co 12:6 ASV - And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.
1Co 12:7 ASV - But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.
1Co 12:8 ASV - For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:
1Co 12:9 ASV - to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;
1Co 12:10 ASV - and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:
1Co 12:11 ASV - but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.
1Co 12:12 ASV - For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
1Co 12:27 ASV - Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.
1Co 12:28 ASV - And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, divers kinds of tongues.
1Co 12:29 ASV - Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1Co 12:30 ASV - have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1Co 12:31 ASV - But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.    And the greatest of all these is the fulling of his Love in us.    
Rom 11:28 ASV - As touching the gospel, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.
Rom 11:29 ASV - For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of.
This is the full  filling of Gods will for the body of Christ , that they all believe and exercise the whole word of God .       Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

 Jhn 16:27 ASV - for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.
Jhn 16:28 ASV - I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.
Jhn 16:30 ASV - Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Jhn 16:31 ASV - Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
Jhn 16:32 ASV - Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
Jhn 16:33 ASV - These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

  Luk 24:46 ASV - and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;
Luk 24:47 ASV - and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
Luk 24:48 ASV - Ye are witnesses of these things.
Luk 24:49 ASV - And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.        Luk 24:49 ASV - And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.
   Tarry    Greek: kathizo   Dwell, Dwellers, Dwelling (Place):  to sit down," denotes "to dwell.      We will never hear God unless we stop and surrender to his spirit and listen , get alone in your closet and pray for understanding .
Mat 13:12 ASV - For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.  Whosoever hath a repentant heart and broken contrite heart .   And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ,  of sin, because they believe not on me.  The man at the bridge had the power of discernment to know Gods presence , and only by his Spirit can we know his love for us and the power to renounce sin in our flesh .   Love not the world nor the things of the world , what are the things of the world .       1Jo 2:16 ASV - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jo 2:17 ASV - And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
The Holy Spirit was given to Gods children to know what is Sin and to walk in his Holiness his Righteousness ,  and to understand and have that clean fear of God in our hearts .  And to repent be sorry for our sins and to die through water baptism and to rise with him in newness of life .    And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  
 1Co 2:12 ASV - But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 ASV - Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.
1Co 2:14 ASV - Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
Mat 25:1 ASV - Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.   Mat 22:14 ASV - For many are called, but few chosen.         Greek: kletos     Call, Called, Calling:
"called, invited," is used,
(a) "of the call of the Gospel," Mat 20:16; 22:14, not there "an effectual call," as in the Epistles, Rom 1:1, 6, 7; 8:28; 1Cr 1:2, 24; Jud 1:1; Rev 17:14; in Rom 1:7; 1Cr 1:2 the meaning is "saints by calling;"
We are called given an Invitation to come to the marriage feast of the Lamb.  Five brought their Invitations to enter in to the marriage feast five did not they were sleeping 
Mat 25:2 ASV - And five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
Mat 25:3 ASV - For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them:  Oil is a type of the holy spirit vessels are a type of our earthy bodies our hearts.
Mat 25:4 ASV - but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.   The lamps here is the light off Gods word in them    a lamp, the flame of which is fed with  Jhn 1:4 ASV - In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Jhn 1:9 ASV - There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.

Mat 25:5 ASV - Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
  Greek: katheudo        Asleep, Sleep:     of carnal indifference to spiritual things on the part of believers, Eph 5:14; 1Th 5:6, 10 (as in Mar 13:36), a condition of insensibility to Divine things involving conformity to the world
Mat 25:6 ASV - But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.
Mat 25:7 ASV - Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  Only five had the light of Gods word the power of his Spirit in them the oil of his promise abiding in them        Jhn 1:9 ASV - There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world. The pearl of great price , the coin the woman lost and looked diligently for it  Silver is a type of redemption , the blood of Jesus.     Luk 15:8 ASV - Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?
Luk 15:9 ASV - And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Luk 15:10 ASV - Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Mar 13:34 ASV - It is as when a man, sojourning in another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, to each one his work, commanded also the porter to watch.
Mar 13:35 ASV - Watch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;
Mar 13:36 ASV - lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

Mat 13:13 ASV - Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Mat 13:15 ASV - For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

Mat 16:19 ASV - I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.      Greek: kleis  Key:  "a key," is used metaphorically  of "the key of knowledge," Luk 11:52, i.e., knowledge of the revealed will of God, by which men entered into the life that pleases God; this the religious leaders of the Jews had presumptuously "taken away," so that they neither entered in themselves, nor permitted their hearers to do so    of "the key of the abyss," Rev 20:1;    this is to be distinguished from (e): the symbolism is that of the complete supremacy of God over the region of the lost, in which, by angelic agency, Satan is destined to be confined for a thousand years.

John 18:8 Veiled by unbelief

         2 Cor 4: 3  amp    But even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing; 4 among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ    Veiled   Hide, Hid, Hidden:
signifies "to cover, conceal," so that no trace of it can be seen.  Veiled by unbelief

Luk 3:16 ASV - John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:   Luk 3:17 ASV - whose fan is in his hand, thoroughly to cleanse his threshing-floor, and to gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.  The chaff is what it is the outer husk of the fruit inside the seed .  All fruit as man knows it will perish with time the outer part being the flesh of the inner part.  But the seed is the part that remains and also regenerates itself .  So what is the fan for in the hand of Jesus , it is to increase the heat of the flames to bring about a through purging of the flesh .   You know Jesus said I must go away so that the promise of the father will come to you . He said I HAVE PRAYED TO THE FATHER that you be endued filled with his spirit just as I have .   Jesus  had to die for this gift to come to those that wait as in Jerusalem , there was more that one hundred and twenty in the time Jesus commanded that they go to Jerusalem and WAIT .    Isa 40:31 ASV - but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.    There is a matter of our hearts that God is after , it is where our soul dwells ,  the flesh profits nothing but the soul is the redeemable part of man .  God is not coming for our flesh he is coming for the redeemed soul of man.
1Pe 1:17 ASV - And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:
1Pe 1:18 ASV - knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;  Love not the world nor things of this world things that will perish .    Redeemed      Greek: lutroo Redeem, Redemption:
"to release on receipt of ransom" (akin to lutron, "a ransom"), is used in the Middle Voice, signifying "to release by paying a ransom price, to redeem" in a spiritual sense, Tts 2:14, of the work of Christ in "redeeming" men "from all iniquity" (anomia, "lawlessness," the bondage of self-will which rejects the will of God); 1Pe 1:18 (Passive Voice), "ye were redeemed," from a vain manner of life, i.e., from bondage to tradition. In both instances the Death of Christ is stated as the means of "redemption."

1Pe 1:19 ASV - but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ: Looking at       Exo 12:3 ASV - Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household:
Exo 12:5 ASV - Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old: ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats:
Exo 12:7 ASV - And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.
Exo 12:8 ASV - And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exo 12:22 ASV - And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side-posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
Exo 12:23 ASV - For Jehovah will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side-posts, Jehovah will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

A type and shadow of the power of the blood of Christ , the door the blood is applied is your heart ,  many people say they are Christians but their fruit will tell on them. 
So we go back to the fire the purging of Gods fire through submitting to the power of his word.  waiting on God is the earnest of our heart do we really mean what we say    Jhn 14:15 ASV - If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.      Now I want to go to another command Jesus gave just before he assended to the father.
Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.
Mar 16:17 ASV - And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 ASV - they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19 ASV - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20 ASV - And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.
What gospel is he speaking about , the one that died with the last Apostle a weak religion with no power to save .      If you trust your soul with that gospel you will be as one of those that were missing at the day of Pentecost ,   over five hundred Paul said were there to witness his resurrection and his assention .  But only one hundred and twenty on the day of Pentecost .
Rom 10:10 ASV - for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.   How can we be saved without believing there is nothing to confess ,    to confess by way of admitting oneself guilty of what one is accused of, the result of inward conviction," 1Jo 1:9; "to declare openly by way of speaking out freely, such confession being the effect of deep conviction of facts," Mat 7:23; 10:32 (twice) and Luk 12:8 (see next par.); Jhn 9:22; 12:42; Act 23:8; /Bible.cfm?b=Rom&c=10
This is the problem with the church today there is no fear of God there is no repentance preached to the people ,   why did John say with the Holy Ghost and with fire  . 
FIRE     Greek: pur Fire:         of the holiness of God, which consumes all that is inconsistent therewith, Hbr 10:27; 12:29; cp. Rev 1:14; 2:18; 10:1; 15:2; 19:12; similarly of the holy angels as His ministers, Hbr 1:7; in Rev 3:18 it is symbolic of that which tries the faith of saints, producing what will glorify the Lord;

This is why we have a cross to bear , putting to death the deeds of our flesh .  Jesus said he that will not take up his cross and follow me , is not worthy of me .    1Co 15:49 ASV - And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  God is coming for the fruit of Christ in you the hope of glory .

1Pe 1:20 ASV - who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of times for your sake,

 We must have the infilling of Gods spirit in us to grasp this veiled Gospel .  Religion has blinded the eyes of the believer , adding to this word professing a doctrine of doubt and unbelief ,  the new testament church started on the day of Pentecost . Jesus told them to terry in Jerusalem until they be clothed , filled with power from on high .             Those that are veiled to the light of Gods word the truth by revelation .  Are those that profess that the very words of Christ which they say they believe is not the only gospel ,  the serpents that Jesus said they will take up in  Mar 16:18  is the warfare of the saints against the evil,  the darkness in high places .Luk 10:19 ASV - Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.   Why would Jesus give this authority unless you would have to use it ,  the church is suffering because of this . We need the true Sheppard in our life's my sheep hear my voice and they follow me,

the characteristics of the "serpent" as alluded to in Scripture are mostly evil (though Mat 10:16 refers to its caution in avoiding danger); its treachery, Gen 49:17; 2Cr 11:3; its venom, Psa 58:4; 1Cr 10:9; Rev 9:19; its skulking, Job 26:13; its murderous proclivities, e.g., Psa 58:4; Pro 23:32; Ecc 10:8, 11; Amo 5:19; Mar 16:18; Luk 10:19; the Lord used the word metaphorically of the scribes and Pharisees, Mat 23:33 (cp. echidna, "viper," in Mat 3:7; 12:34). The general aspects of its evil character are intimated in the Lord's rhetorical question in Mat 7:10; Luk 11:11.  (a) "power, ability," physical or moral, as residing in a person or thing;
(b) "power in action," as, e.g., when put forth in performing miracles. It occurs 118 times in the NT. It is sometimes used of the miracle or sign itself, the effect being put for the cause, e.g., Mar 6:5, frequently in the Gospels and Acts. In 1Cr 14:11 it is rendered "meaning;" "force" would be more accurate.

Luk 3:17 ASV - whose fan is in his hand, thoroughly to cleanse his threshing-floor, and to gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire. The fire of Gods spirit is to cleanese us of all unrighteousness , we fail yes but not willfully , and if we confess our sin and believe in the power of his blood he will save us.

7 But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves. 8 We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair; 9 hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed; 10 always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown in our body. 11 For we who live are constantly [experiencing the threat of] being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be evidenced in our mortal body [which is subject to death]. 12 So physical death is [actively] at work in us, but [spiritual] life [is actively at work] in you.

Fleeing From Idolatry

2Jo 1:7 ASV - For many deceivers are gone forth into the world, even they that confess not that Jesus Christ cometh in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.  There are religions today that profess that God has no son he never had a son ,   you must understand every knee is going to bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of all . The church of God has the power to cast out devils today ,  men talk of the great commission of Jesus and his word to the church Peter described as the the son of God .       Mar 16:20 ASV - And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the Signs that followed. Amen.   The organized church of men say that all of these signs and gifts died with the last Apostle . No they hindered the church with their other gospel . Mar 16:15 ASV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.   The debate is over my friend time is short and its coming down to the last part of this verse  preach the gospel to the whole creation.   Whole Greek  pas      All: In the plural it signifies "the totality of the persons or things referred to  Used without a noun it virtually becomes a pronoun, meaning "everyone" or "anyone." Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.

Mar 16:18 ASV - they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  .    The serpents here is the devil himself the demons that came to kill steal and destroy .  Jesus said I give YOU power to tread upon serpents and scorpions .   Luk 10:19 ASV - Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.   The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of Jesus his chosen people ,  The bible says that we cannot not war against the devil in our flesh , we need the power of the blood of Christ and his word .     Heb 2:1 ASV - Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.
Heb 2:2 ASV - For if the word spoken through angels proved stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
Heb 2:3 ASV - how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard;
Heb 2:4 ASV - God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will .                  Luk 18:7 ASV - And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, and yet he is longsuffering over them?        Luk 18:8 ASV - I say unto you, that he will avenge them speedily. Eph 1:3 ASV - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:    To be a Christian as people say with out thinking that word was use in scorn by the vulgar people to slander against any one that believed in Christ .  It is more than a name it is the power of that name. Do you realize that today many people are named Jesus in in the day of Christ . There is only one Lord and one faith and one baptism  .
The earth has been judged and the exact time Jesus said no man knowth the time exactly . Mat 16:3 ASV - And in the morning, It will be foul weather to-day: for the heaven is red and lowering. Ye know how to discern the face of the heaven; but ye cannot discern the signs of the times.   Read Matt 24   it is to you and all Gods children ,   tribulation is coming and no amount of preparation in your own strength will be enough .    Faith in the fathers protection and what ever comes will be his will .  The flesh does not want to die it will devise every form of  survival to stay alive , that is spiritually and physically .  What does the word say about the church and his Love for us.  Only one of the original twelve disciples lived and died a natural death John the Apostle , the others were all martyred according to biblical history .  Many believers have gave their life's for the sake of the gospel .    Martyred for their faith
Look at the condition of this world not just the nation ,  evil of every form is working for this end time judgement .  satan is manipulating his children , rushing them towards their final judgement .  Jesus said you are of your father the devil ,  people born of God will look and act like their father.  People that give their soul to satan will act and look like their father.   Jesus has already conquered the beast Jesus said it is finished and he died and rose again the third day  .    
Mar 1:12 ASV - And straightway the Spirit driveth him forth into the wilderness.
Mar 1:13 ASV - And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan; And he was with the wild beasts; And the angels ministered unto him.   This word beast is very important to understand .      Beast      Greek: therion    Beast:     metaph. a brutal, bestial man, savage, ferocious to be distinguished from zoon, almost invariably denotes "a wild beast." In Act 28:4, "venomous beast" is used of the viper which fastened on Paul's hand. Zoon stresses the vital element, therion the bestial. The idea of a "beast" of prey is not always resent. Once, in Hbr 12:20, it is used of the animals in the camp of Israel, such, e.g., as were appointed for sacrifice: But in the Sept. therion is never used of sacrificial animals; the word ktenos (see below) is reserved for these.
Therion, in the sense of "wild beast", is used in the Apocalypse for the two Antichristian potentates who are destined to control the affairs of the nations with Satanic power in the closing period of the present era, Rev 11:7; 13:1-18; 14:9, 11; 15:2; 16:2, 10, 13; 17:3-17; 19:19, 20; 20:4, 10.
In the last days to those that are alive living in the judgement of tribulation , now remember Jesus said this not me in Matt 24   .   The evil world is the beast and satan has given his power over to the brutal, bestial man, savage,  men and women who have sold their souls to the devil.   I believe this to be a spiritually and a physical truth .   Satan owns the kingdoms of the earth

   This is where the church becomes  triumphant  this is where the gates of hell shall not prevail against Gods people.   God states in his word Rom 12:1-2 that that we be not conformed into the world But that we be transformed By the Renewing of our minds , this is where I tell you that the battle of the kingdom is for our minds satan is deluding Gods people every day , signs a wonders of evil lies a deceit .  The beast is at work now to destroy every soul he can, it has already began .   Look at the news and see the blatant lies spewed out upon the world.  Evil is good and good is evil this is not about politics it is about the end of all things and the weak church and the souls that are at stake .  Jesus said like no other time on the earth will this be displayed and men will faint (die) with weak hearts .    This is the church that Peter spoke of when he said you are the Son of God ,      And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven   And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.   The chief corner stone the true foundation of God the gospel of God.  The spirit of God reveled this to Peter .

Rev 16:2 ASV - And the first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth; and it became a noisome and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, and that worshipped his image. 
This mark is a spiritual mark and that mark is in their mind to do the works of the devil their father.    Rev 13:16 ASV - And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead;  The Hand    Greek: cheir     Hand:
"the hand" (cp. Eng., "chiropody"), is used, besides its ordinary significance,
(a) in the idiomatic phrases, "by the hand of," "at the hand of," etc., to signify "by the agency of  . The works of the devil the mark here is the spiritual mark of the beast .  There are people today reprobate in mind and their works to serve satan .   They have the mark already .
Eph 6:11 ASV - Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 
 Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.    Fashioned        Greek: suschematizo       Conformed, Conformable:
"to fashion or shape one thing like another," is translated "conformed" in Rom 12:2, AV; RV, "fashioned;" "fashioning" in 1Pe 1:14. This verb has more especial reference to that which is transitory, changeable, unstable; summorphizo, to that which is essential in character and thus complete or durable, not merely a form or outline. Suschematizo could not be used of inward transformation.

The transformation of your mind is through the word of God, and the fathers image is his very being we see God in Christ Jesus . Jesus said I and the father are one man was created in this very image your flesh is a vehicle to move you .  God had no body Jesus said God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth.  
But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.   Heb 4:12 ASV - For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.  
 The heart of man is his mind , will and his emotions ,  the flesh is an enemy to Gods spirit . So we must see as we obey this gospel and submit to God in it and deny our carnal flesh   Putting it on our cross and offer it as a sacrifice unto God holy and except able which is our reasonable service.  We renew our minds unto his holiness and his will . The word says the mind of the flesh is death      Rom 8:6 ASV - For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:
Rom 8:7 ASV - because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:
1Co 6:18 ASV - Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Co 6:19 ASV - Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
1Co 6:20 ASV - for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.
Willful sin is the catalyst for the mark of the beast      Heb 10:26 ASV - For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,  Moses struck the rock twice when God told him to speak to the rock, and he did not enter in the promised land with the children he and Aaron
  The rock was Jesus that follow them through the desert .  1Co 10:4 ASV - and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them: and the rock was Christ.  The washing water of the word

Jhn 4:14 ASV - but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.
Jhn 6:35 ASV - Jesus said unto them. I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Mat 6:24 ASV - No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Jhn 12:35 -36 Walk in the light as he is in the light

   Jesus used parables to explain the mind of man and his reasoning .  A fellow was traveling some where in Louisiana late in the evening when he saw something up front of him the highway was uneven something was not right so he slowed to see what it was as he got closer he realized the bridge was out . It had been struck by a large ship lost in the darkness . He realized people coming behind him and park and got out to warn them of the bridge being out . As he would wave his arms and scream to warn them they would speed by him and off the end of the broken area of the bridge.  One after one they raced past him off into the darkness of the water .    So goes all the parables of Jesus in the word ,  I believe the man that was able to see the destruction before he got to it was able to hear the spirit of God warning him of impending danger ,  that is the  principle  of the parables .   God is warning his people today that there is sudden destruction if you continue in your present direction.
Mat 13:10 ASV - And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Mat 13:11 ASV - And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.   Because you believe you are given the ability to understand , this is about the Jews of that time ,  apostate religion and arrogance of pride is the same today as then .   Jesus said I came to you as a mother hen to gather her chicks under my wings but you would not.    Luk 13:34 ASV - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!     And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ,  of sin, because they believe not on me.  Jesus is speaking here of the promise of the father to you ! the power of God to walk in his will. Jesus is saying today to you  just as in the book of   Act 1:8 ASV - But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
In this passage according to scripture in    1Co 15:6 ASV - then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;   Above five hundred were there that day ,  but only one hundred and twenty were in the upper room when the promise of the Holy Spirit was given . Was it because of pre selection of God or was it a lack of faith or doubt . This is a gift of God to all the world until the very end of all things.   It is a matter of your heart it is do you truly believe Jesus came in the flesh is he the son of God is this all real or just another religion .   I believe this is why only one hundred and twenty obeyed his words and went and waited for the promise .  Its not pre selection of some and not of others ,  God is no respecter of persons a soul is what he sees. It is that these people were hungry for his words of life they were believing him and his promise of life everlasting.  The devil is attacking the minds of Gods people daily ,   through temptations ,trials family and friends . Jesus was tempted just as we are today but he over came him by the word of his testimony it is written . Remember the helmet of salvation putting on this truth and standing the test of time having the shield of faith to repel the fiery darts from satan. The word says if we you and I SUBMIT therefore unto God and RESIST the devil he will FLEE.  We have the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions . Behold I give you power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall harm you. Do we believe that remember these signs shall follow those who Believe , Jesus ask his disciples       Jhn 16:27 ASV - for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.
Jhn 16:28 ASV - I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.
Jhn 16:30 ASV - Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Jhn 16:31 ASV - Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
Jhn 16:32 ASV - Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

  Luk 24:46 ASV - and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;

   Tarry    Greek: kathizo   Dwell, Dwellers, Dwelling (Place):  to sit down," denotes "to dwell.      We will never hear God unless we stop and surrender to listen , get alone in your closet and pray for understanding .
Mat 13:12 ASV - For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.  Whosoever hath a repentant heart and broken contrite heart .   And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ,  of sin, because they believe not on me.  The man at the bridge had the power of discernment to know Gods presence , and only by his Spirit can we know his love for us and the power to renounce sin in our flesh .   Love not the world nor the things of the world , what are the things of the world .       1Jo 2:16 ASV - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jo 2:17 ASV - And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
The Holy Spirit was given to Gods children to know what is Sin and to walk in his Holiness his Righteousness ,  and to understand and have that clean fear of God in our hearts .  And to repent be sorry for our sins and to die through water baptism and to rise with him in newness of life .    And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  
 1Co 2:12 ASV - But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.

We are called given an Invitation to come to the marriage feast of the Lamb.  Five brought their Invitations to enter in to the marriage feast five did not they were sleeping 
Mat 25:2 ASV - And five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

Luk 15:10 ASV - Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Earthen Vessels

The last few days as I have started this blog and than stopped , started and than stopped again.  As I would start to write I would see in my spirit a pure silver Helmet . It was very worn scuffed up and dirty with some dents in it . It was intact and well worn yet it was still worth wearing in battle.  Silver is a type of redemption it speaks of the blood of Jesus . Gold is a type of the presents of God most precious .    I am reminded today as I write , of this dream I had some time back . I was with a group of men on Horses some riding in front and others in back of a carriage . This carriage was of great beauty ornate in carvings and tapestry plain yet beautiful. It represented strength and beauty . And as this dream would come back at different times  I would ponder the meaning I later realized it as type of the ark of the covenant wood covered in Gold.      The men I was riding with were in a fast pace I had this feeling they were men of great valor and strength battle tested men with no Fear.   We were in Armour as The scripture Eph 6 speaks of ,    and there was this urgency of travel but I did not know where we were going nor what was inside the carriage.  Deep in the woods we rode on a narrow trail with very large trees , this dream was in color I can still picture in my mind the sounds and the color of  every thing even the horses breathing .   As we came upon a clearing the horses bolted violently and began to pull away from the carriage .  And than they tore loose from the carriage and ran away from the clearing .  One man said we must get the horses back and continue our mission. He looked at me and said you ! stay here and protect the carriage the men and I will go for the horses . They rode away quickly and as I stood on the ground I heard them ride away  It became very quite and still not even birds singing.   I began to pace around the carriage watching carefully to protect what ever was inside . I wondered as I walk what could possibly be inside .    I would go from side to side standing ready to protect , as I came from one side around to the other I saw three men upon the side of the carriage I stop and looked they saw me and immediately began to growl like an animal . I could see that they had very worn and tattered clothing there were sores upon their bodies and dirty patches of hair .  They were like a wild animal with wild eyes . They jumped down from the carriage and slowly came towards me with a low growl .  They were drawing their swords and rushed to attack me. I fell back and instantly drew my sword to defend the carriage . But when I held my sword up it was limp it had no rigidity no strength it was totally limp.   The fight was on and I was swing my sword back and forth as you would a chain , the weight of it is all I had.   I would swing it at them as they came towards me it kept them off of me I even began to drive them away pushing them into the woods.  Until I saw that they had  left and it was all quite again . I walked up to the carriage and looked at it and wondered as to what could possibly could be inside.  I woke that morning with  the dream still very real in my mind , so I would ask the Lord as to the meaning of this dream . And months later I began to see some truth and the revelation in it  .   I do not have the complete meaning as of yet     I believe the Lord shared with me that my sword which is the word of God in me is my weapon and my only defense ,    The more I put the word in me and apply it in my life it brings temper to my soul strength in my faith to believe no matter what I see with my eyes .  Faith is the substance of things hoped for.  The word says Submit therefore unto God resist the devil and he shall flee .  The true gospel has the words of life , Jesus said unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you. John 6  The people around him said this is to hard a saying who can eat his flesh and drink his blood and it says they turn away from him and left .       Jesus looked at his disciples and he said will you leave also , Peter look at Jesus and said Lord where could we go you have the words of life .         Jhn 6:53 ASV - Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves.
Jhn 6:54 ASV - He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jhn 6:66 ASV - Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Jhn 6:67 ASV - Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away?
Jhn 6:68 ASV - Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.  the word is his flesh and we consume it daily his flesh is his life his nature all that Jesus was and is today .  And men today walk away from this truth because it is a cross to bear to put to death the deeds of the flesh .  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.     And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.        The mind of Adam is of the flesh the mind of Christ is his word in you the hope of glory .           1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.    7        But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves .  The carriage is our earthen vessel our bodies ,  God created this flesh as a vessel with a will ,  angels were created to serve .  God has given us a choice to love and to serve him . Commandants were made for willing vessels to choose ,  that is why God created you and that is why you are here today .   The word of God was in that carriage which is your flesh .   And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind .  Jesus said you must be born again and this is the renewing it is Christ the word in you the hope of glory.    Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.   We were under Adams blood his will his flesh but when we die in water baptizem Rom 6 we die with him in the hope of his resurrection life in us.
Heb 4:12 ASV - For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Our vessels are of the flesh but we do not live to the flesh any longer.   That old carriage our flesh has the word inside us yet  the old man is decaying daily   2Co 4:16 ASV - Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.
2Co 4:17 ASV - For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;
2Co 4:18 ASV - while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
The horses are a type of mans flesh his strength his power his own ability ,       Gal 2:20 ASV - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.    The men that I fought with were demons after the word of God in the carriage your heart ,   just as the sower of the seed the birds that came and took away the seed witch is the word of God in you the power to save your souls.   The battle is for your minds that is why we war daily against the wiles of the devil and keep our armor on .   You must temper your sword daily by feeding on his word ,
 Eph 6:12 ASV - For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13 ASV - Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:16 ASV - withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
Eph 6:17 ASV - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 ASV - with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
Mat 11:11 ASV - Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

in the Passive Voice, is rendered "suffereth violence" in Mat 11:12; see FORCE, B, Nos. 1 and 2. Some, e.g., Cremer (Lexicon) and Dalman (Words of Jesus, pp. 139, ff.), hold that the reference is to the antagonism of the enemies of the kingdom, but Luk 16:16 (Middle Voice: RV, "entereth violently") indicates the meaning as referring to those who make an effort to enter the kingdom in spite of violent opposition: see PRESS, A, No. 3.
 This verse is not speaking of persecution to the believer to come against God people with violence .     It is the believer determind in his heart to stand and on this word of promise and to get on his cross and suffer the death of his carnal old man to die to the deeds of his flesh .

Rev 17:14 ASV - These shall war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they also shall overcome that are with him, called and chosen and faithful.

John 7 :38-39 Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Gal 2:20 ASV - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.   Paul is speaking of his complete reckoning of death on his cross ,  the flesh profits nothing .  Once a man coming to his cross and realizing his need of a savoir ,  he makes a conscience choice to confirm his reckoning .    How is that done what must a man do , by no fault of his own he was born into sin .

 Eph 2        And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins,    wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience  . among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:--    but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),    and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus:   for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;    not of works, that no man should glory.

Once again I want to bring attention to the word   Name  Greek: iesous  Jesus:
is a transliteration of the Heb. "Joshua," meaning "Jehovah is salvation
It is not BY the name it says IN that name ,   Acts 4 AMP    10 let it be known and clearly understood by all of you, and by all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you [demanded be] crucified [by the Romans and], whom God raised from the dead—in this name [that is, by the authority and power of Jesus] this man stands here before you in good health. 11 This Jesus is the stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which became the [e]chief Cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].”    Jesus was the first born among the dead . Jesus was raised from the dead by the power of his father ,   in this name [that is, by the authority and power of Jesus.  Every man born into this earth was born to die    spiritually speaking .  Here is where the flesh profits nothing it is the spirit that gives life . Thank the father because by Jesus rising from the grave his became that life giver to your souls .  You need to settle this in your spirit your flesh is going to die some day . And according to how you let it live while on this earth will bring your spiritual destination,  when everything is settled in the end.           1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.   Thus because Adam sinned against Gods commandant he and all his offspring were cursed also .  This is not a random happening your father had a plan from the very beginning of time . And God made man in his own image and what Image is that ,  if we live by the flesh we shall die.  
 2Co 4:2 ASV - but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2Co 4:3 ASV - And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish:
2Co 4:4 ASV - in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.    Col 1:26 ASV - even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,

The treasure being the power of his name his name being the character the very nature of Christ all that his name is in power.  for all that a "name" implies, of authority, character, rank, majesty, power, excellence, etc., of everything that the "name" covers:   of the "Name" of God as expressing His attributes, etc

Mar 16:17 ASV - And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;   The pots in this truth is you and I being born of Adam born of his flesh our carnal nature Earthy people .  The water is the power of the washing of regeneration of his word over us , that we be filled with all the knowledge of God in Christ   . And the word becomes the cleansing of our souls through his blood we are filled with the power of his redemption through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.   It is not a mystery any more to you that are hungry for this power !! , it becomes Christ in you the hope of glory.       Mat 10:38 ASV - And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.  Jhn 15:7 ASV - If ye abide in me, and my WORDS abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
 And this all goes back to Romans 6
Rom 6:3 ASV - Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 ASV - For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection;     1Co 15:49 ASV - And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.   The kingdom here is in the earth right now we must be living this kingdom now , and Jesus in our King.  Gods kingdom through the Holy Ghost is in the hearts of men now on this earth .  
Rom 6:6 ASV - knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;
Rom 6:7 ASV - for he that hath died is justified from sin. Dead men cannot sin any longer.    1Jo 1:7 ASV - but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jo 1:9 ASV - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Col 1:9 ASV - For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Col 1:10 ASV - to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:12 ASV - giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;   The light being the fullness of the gospel Jesus preached .   
Col 1:13 ASV - who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;  If we walk in this light the power of this gospel we have fellowship with him
Col 1:14 ASV - in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
Col 1:15 ASV - who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
   Image of God             of regenerate persons, in being moral representations of what God is, Col 3:10; cp. Eph 4:24;
(c) of believers, in their glorified state, not merely as resembling Christ but representing Him, Rom 8:29; 1Cr 15:49; here the perfection is the work of Divine grace; believers are yet to represent, not something like Him, but what He is in Himself, both in His spiritual body and in His moral character   1Jo 3:2 ASV - Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
Jhn 12:35 ASV - Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness overtake you not: and he that walketh in the darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
Eph 5:8 ASV - For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light
1Jo 1:7 ASV - but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Light       Greek: phos         Light, Noun, and Verb (Bring To, Give), Lighten:
   Light requires an organ adapted for its reception (Mat 6:22). Where the eye is absent, or where it has become impaired from any cause, light is useless. Man, naturally, is incapable of receiving spiritual light inasmuch as he lacks the capacity for spiritual things, 1Cr 2:14. Hence believers are called 'sons of light,' Luk 16:8, not merely because they have received a revelation from God, but because in the New Birth they have received the spiritual capacity for it.       
The end is near Jesus said by the signs of the times you will know how to judge this Wars and rumors of wars .  Good is bad and bad is good reprobate men on the earth setting in places of authority over the earth. Spiritual wickedness in high places .
1Pe 4:1 ASV - Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  It is appointed unto man once to die and than the judgement , this Christ on his cross he die once for all . Now comes our cross our death to our carnal man . Adam gave us his life through the flesh    Jesus is that life giving spirit be vessels of mercy full of the water of life through his blood , that wash's us clean.
1Pe 4:2 ASV - that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1Pe 4:6 ASV - For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1Pe 4:7 ASV - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:
1Pe 4:8 ASV - above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:

And the word becomes the cleansing of our souls through his blood we are filled with the power of his redemption through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.   It is not a mystery any more to you that are hungry for this power !! , it becomes Christ in you the hope of glory.       Mat 10:38 ASV - And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.  Jhn 15:7 ASV - If ye abide in me, and my WORDS abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

And this all goes back to Romans 6
Rom 6:3 ASV - Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 ASV - For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection;     1Co 15:49 ASV - And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.   The kingdom here is in the earth right now we must be living this kingdom now , and Jesus in our King.  Gods kingdom through the Holy Ghost is in the hearts of men now on this earth .  
Rom 6:6 ASV - knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;
Rom 6:7 ASV - for he that hath died is justified from sin. Dead men cannot sin any longer.    1Jo 1:7 ASV - but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jo 1:9 ASV - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Col 1:9 ASV - For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Col 1:10 ASV - to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:12 ASV - giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;   The light being the fullness of the gospel Jesus preached .   
Col 1:13 ASV - who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;  If we walk in this light the power of this gospel we have fellowship with him
Col 1:14 ASV - in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
Col 1:15 ASV - who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
   Image of God  of regenerate persons, in being moral representations of what God is, Col 3:10; cp. Eph 4:24;
(c) of believers, in their glorified state, not merely as resembling Christ but representing Him, Rom 8:29; 1Cr 15:49; here the perfection is the work of Divine grace; believers are yet to represent, not something like Him, but what He is in Himself, both in His spiritual body and in His moral character   1Jo 3:2 ASV - Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
Jhn 12:35 ASV - Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness overtake you not: and he that walketh in the darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
Eph 5:8 ASV - For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light
1Jo 1:7 ASV - but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Light       Greek: phos         Light, Noun, and Verb (Bring To, Give), Lighten:
   Light requires an organ adapted for its reception (Mat 6:22). Where the eye is absent, or where it has become impaired from any cause, light is useless. Man, naturally, is incapable of receiving spiritual light inasmuch as he lacks the capacity for spiritual things, 1Cr 2:14. Hence believers are called 'sons of light,' Luk 16:8, not merely because they have received a revelation from God, but because in the New Birth they have received the spiritual capacity for it.       
The end is near Jesus said by the signs of the times you will know how to judge this Wars and rumors of wars .  Good is bad and bad is good reprobate men on the earth setting in places of authority over the earth. Spiritual wickedness in high places .
1Pe 4:1 ASV - Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  It is appointed unto man once to die and than the judgement , this Christ on his cross he die once for all . Now comes our cross our death to our carnal man . Adam gave us his life through the flesh    Jesus is that life giving spirit be vessels of mercy full of the water of life through his blood , that wash's us clean.
1Pe 4:2 ASV - that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1Pe 4:6 ASV - For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1Pe 4:7 ASV - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:
1Pe 4:8 ASV - above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:
