John 1:13 Born Of God
1Pe 1:1 ASV - Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect who are sojourners of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
1Pe 1:2 ASV - according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
Sprinkle, Sprinkling: Greek: rhantismos
"sprinkling," akin to A, is used of the "sprinkling" of the blood of Christ, in Hbr 12:24; 1Pe 1:2, an allusion to the use of the blood of sacrifices, appointed for Israel, typical of the sacrifice of Christ
1Pe 1:3 ASV - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Begat Greek: anagennao to produce again, be born again, born anew metaph. to have one's mind changed so that he lives a new life and one conformed to the will of God
Jhn 10:9 ASV - I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. There is only one God and father of us all , he gave us his son Jesus for a pattern of salvation . Jesus said he and the father are one if you see me you see the father . I believe that to be spiritually and Literally , the word says that God was in Christ reconcilling the world unto himself . Col 2:9 ASV - for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, Jesus said he came in his fathers name . The power and the authority, character and complete nature of his father . Jesus came to show us the father and his great love . Act 17:29 ASV - Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and device of man.
Act 17:30 ASV - The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent: The disciples said show us the father and we will be satisfied . Jesus said you see me you see the father I and the father are one .
Act 17:31 ASV - inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. The greatest of all things concerning Jesus the son of man was that he rose from the dead . That is you and I being dead in our sins Jhn 1:4 ASV - In him was life; and the life was the light of men. By his ressurection he made it possiable for those that believe in his name to resurrect also , not only in this world but the world to come.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Being born again is to be filled with his spirit the infilling of his spirit , to be born from the inside out . It starts with our hearts our souls . 1Peter 1-3 Begat Greek: anagennao to produce again, be born again, born anew metaph. to have one's mind changed so that he lives a new life and one conformed to the will of God . To be born again is a absolute change in your life , and the word repent is to have a change of mind . A man must have Godly sorrow being sorry fore his sins and wanting to change . The word say that the sorrow of the world is a person that has a form of sorrow but not willing to change to conform to Gods word . The word regretted is what it says there is no true repenteance in him. 2Co 7:10 ASV - For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
John had to come first before Jesus , John brought repenteance and with out a repentent heart no man shall see God. Luk 3:4 ASV - as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight. Straight: Greek: euthus
"direct, straight, right," is translated "straight," figuratively, of the paths of the Lord, Mat 3:3; Mar 1:3; Luk 3:4; in Luk 3:5 of the rectification of the crooked, with reference to moral transformation; in Act 9:11, the name of a street in Damascus, still one of the principal thoroughfares.
Mat 7:13 ASV - Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.
Mat 7:14 ASV - For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.
Narrow: Greek: stenos
from a root sten--, seen in stenazo, "to groan," stenagmos, "groaning" (Eng., "stenography," lit., "narrow writing"), is used figuratively in Mat 7:13, 14, of the gate which provides the entrance to eternal life, "narrow" because it runs counter to natural inclinations, and "the way" is similarly characterized; so in Luk 13:24 (where the more intensive word agonizomai, "strive," is used); RV, "narrow" (AV, "strait") in each place. Cp. stenochoreo, "to be straitened," and stenochoria, "narrowness, anguish, distress."
Mat 11:12 ASV - And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force. Jesus says here from the days of John until now . Violence, Violent, Violently: Greek: biazo
in the Passive Voice, is rendered "suffereth violence" in Mat 11:12; see FORCE, B, Nos. 1 and 2. Some, e.g., Cremer (Lexicon) and Dalman (Words of Jesus, pp. 139, ff.), hold that the reference is to the antagonism of the enemies of the kingdom, but Luk 16:16 (Middle Voice: RV, "entereth violently") indicates the meaning as referring to those who make an effort to enter the kingdom in spite of violent This is not perescution of the church its putting to death you flesh , getting on your croos and staying there until the work is done . Jessus said if any man will not take up his cross and follow me he is not worthy of me .
Afflict (-ed), Affliction: straitened Greek: thlibo
"to suffer affliction, to be troubled," has reference to sufferings due to the pressure of circumstances, or the antagonism of persons, 1Th 3:4; 2Th 1:6, 7; "straitened," in Mat 7:14 (RV); "throng," Mar 3:9; "afflicted," 2Cr 1:6; 7:5 (RV); 1Ti 5:10; Hbr 11:37; "pressed," 2Cr 4:8. Both the verb and the noun (see B, No. 4), when used of the present experience of believers, refer almost invariably to that which comes upon them from without.
See NARROW, PRESS, STRAITENED, THRONG, TRIBULATION, TROUBLE.
Mat 11:7 ASV - And as these went their way, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to behold? a reed shaken with the wind?
Mat 11:8 ASV - But what went ye out to see? a man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that wear soft raiment are in king's houses.
Mat 11:9 ASV - But wherefore went ye out? to see a prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. John the baptist was a man called of God a prophet , Jesus said he was the spirit of Elijah . He was a man that was continually in a wildreness eat honey and Locast wearing animal skins for clothing . He not only preached repenteance he lived it every day. This life we live is all about our flesh and the spirit of God . Gal 5:16 ASV - But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 ASV - For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:18 ASV - But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
John gave his life for this gospel , he entered in with much violence . (Middle Voice: RV, "entereth violently") indicates the meaning as referring to those who make an effort to enter the kingdom in spite of violent opposition: The flesh does not want to die it will fight to live , For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Our battle is spiritual not physcial . 1Co 15:42 ASV - So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co 15:43 ASV - it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1Co 15:44 ASV - it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
We are at war against our carnal nature being born of Adam and his curse , Satan will use this carnal flesh against our holy walk , it is a battle for our souls .
Gal 5:16 ASV - But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
1Jo 2:16 ASV - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Eph 2:3 ASV - among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:--
2Pe 2:10 ASV - but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, self-willed, they tremble not to rail at dignities:
1Th 5:23 ASV - And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Entire Entire: Greek: holokleros
"complete, sound in every part" (holos, "whole," kleros, "a lot," i.e., with all that has fallen by lot), is used ethically in 1Th 5:23, indicating that every grace present in Christ should be manifested in the believer; Jam 1:4, "perfect," indicates the development of every grace into maturity
Mat 11:10 ASV - This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way before thee.
Mat 11:11 ASV - Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Mat 11:12 ASV - And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force.
Phl 2:9 ASV - Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name;
Phl 2:10 ASV - that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,
Phl 2:11 ASV - and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jhn 14:8 ASV - Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jhn 14:9 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?
Jhn 14:10 ASV - Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
