Unrighteous Mammon

16 Now Jesus was also saying to the disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager [of his estate], and accusations [against this man] were brought to him, that this man was squandering his [master’s] possessions. 2 So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management [of my affairs], for you can no longer be [my] manager.’ 3 The manager [of the estate] said to himself, ‘What will I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig [for a living], and I am ashamed to beg. 4 I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from the management, people [who are my master’s debtors] will welcome me into their homes.’ 5 So he summoned his master’s debtors one by one, and he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ 6 He said, ‘A hundred [a]measures of [olive] oil.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write [b]fifty.’ 7 Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred [c]measures of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ 8 And his master commended the unjust manager [not for his misdeeds, but] because he had acted shrewdly [by preparing for his future unemployment]; for the sons of this age [the non-believers] are shrewder in relation to their own kind [that is, to the ways of the secular world] than are the sons of light [the believers]. 9 And I tell you [learn from this], make friends for yourselves [for eternity] by means of the [d]wealth of unrighteousness [that is, use material resources as a way to further the work of God], so that when it runs out, they will welcome you into the eternal dwellings.     There is no eternal rest in this earth ,  it is a place of reconconing  and reconciling us to God .   Luk 10:20 ASV - Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.                                    And Jesus is that new man that we compare ourselfs to every day we live and walk in his kingdom.
Jhn 14:3 ASV - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Jhn 14:4 ASV - And whither I go, ye know the way.
Jhn 14:5 ASV - Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?
Jhn 14:6 ASV - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.        Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.    We are save spirit ,soul and body           1Th 5:23 ASV - And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.    Entire    Greek: holokleros   Entire:           "complete, sound in every part" (holos, "whole," kleros, "a lot," i.e., with all that has fallen by lot), is used ethically in 1Th 5:23, indicating that every grace present in Christ should be manifested in the believer .

I started out this blog with this premise that God loves a cheerful giver ,  we are our brothers keeper .     Giving to God is an essential fruit of your father ,  and Jesus and the parables he spoke were Gods light unto his people .  Rom 13:10 ASV - Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment of the law.         2Co 9:6 ASV - But this I say, He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
2Co 9:7 ASV - Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
2Co 9:8 ASV - And God is able to make all grace abound unto you; that ye, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound unto every good work:
2Co 9:9 ASV - as it is written, He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor; His righteousness abideth for ever.
10 “He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of earthly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? 12 And if you have not been faithful in the use of that [earthly wealth] which belongs to another [whether God or man, and of which you are a trustee], who will give you that which is your own?

1Ti 6:10 ASV - For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Heb 13:5 ASV - Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.
So we see here there is a righteous Mammon and an unrighteous mammon ,   The father does not need your money , he is dealing with the heart of a man in this truth.                   Luk 12:34 ASV - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
"a storehouse," Mat 13:52; used metaphorically of the heart, Mat 12:35, twice (RV, "out of his treasure"); Luk 6:45;   "a treasure," Mat 6:19-21; 13:44; Luk 12:33, 34; Hbr 11:26; "treasure" (in heaven or the heavens), Mat 19:21; Mar 10:21; Luk 18:22; in these expressions (which are virtually equivalent to that in Mat 6:1, "with your Father which is in Heaven") the promise does not simply refer to the present life, but looks likewise to the hereafter; in 2Cr 4:7 it is used of "the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ," descriptive of the Gospel, as deposited in the earthen vessels of the persons who proclaim it ,  in Col 2:3, of the wisdom and knowledge hidden in Christ.

The man in the parable was working towards an earthly habitation at the expensive of his master .   Verse 8   by preparing for his future unemployment]; for the sons of this age [the non-believers] are shrewder in relation to their own kind [that is, to the ways of the secular world] than are the sons of light [the believers].   This man was not a believer he was a worldly minded man , remember this was a parable and Jesus was speaking it to the church today.  This is the gospel of his Father and it was to all that believe in his name .
Read the beganning of this chapter , John says he is writting to the believers those that walk in the light .
1Jo 1:5 ASV - And this is the message which we have heard from him and announce unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.      Light   Greek: phos  Light, Noun, and Verb (Bring To, Give), Lighten:
akin to phao, "to give light" (from roots pha--, and phan--, expressing "light as seen by the eye," and, metaphorically, as "reaching the mind," whence phaino, "to make to appear," phaneros, "evident," etc.); cp. Eng., "phosphorus" (lit., "light-bearing"). "Primarily light is a luminous emanation, probably of force, from certain bodies, which enables the eye to discern form and color. Light requires an organ adapted for its reception (Mat 6:22). Where the eye is absent, or where it has become impaired from any cause, light is useless. Man, naturally, is incapable of receiving spiritual light inasmuch as he lacks the capacity for spiritual things, 1Cr 2:14. Hence believers are called 'sons of light,' Luk 16:8, not merely because they have received a revelation from God, but because in the New Birth they have received the spiritual capacity for it.    New Birth what does that entail       Eph 4:24 ASV - and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Greek: neos    New:     Col 3:10 (neos) stresses the fact of the believer's "new" experience, recently begun, and still proceeding. "The old man in him... dates as far back as Adam; a new man has been born, who therefore is fitly so called"
Col 3:10 ASV - and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:      Image     Greek: eikon         Image:   of Christ in relation to God, 2Cr 4:4, "the image of God," i.e., essentially and absolutely the perfect expression and representation of the Archetype, God the Father; in Col 1:15, "the image of the invisible God" gives the additional thought suggested by the word "invisible," that Christ is the visible representation and manifestation of God to created beings; the likeness expressed in this manifestation is involved in the essential relations in the Godhead, and is therefore unique and perfect; "he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father," Jhn 14:9. "The epithet "invisible."... must not be confined to the apprehension of the bodily senses, but will include the cognizance of the inward eye also
1Jo 1:6 ASV - If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
      Light     metaphorically, of "moral and spiritual darkness," e.g., Mat 6:23; Luk 1:79; 11:35; Jhn 3:19; Act 26:18; 2Cr 6:14; Eph 6:12; Col 1:13; 1Th 5:4, 5; 1Pe 2:9; 1Jo 1:6;
Heb 13:5 ASV - Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.     The word of God is explicit as to how we should give .   Its giving to the work of God and that work is to further the true gospel of God that Jesus preached .

The kingdom of God is in the hearts of men it comes through Gods spirit the same spirit he gave in the beginning of the New Testament in  Acts 2 .  Jesus told his disciples to terry in Jerusalem UNTIL you be filled with power .     The same holds true today ,  Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees that because of the traditions and doctrines of your father you make void the word of God.   For indeed we have had good tidings preached unto us, even as also they: but the word of hearing did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with them that heard.
Jhn 14:17 ASV - even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.  Here is the mystery of Godliness Christ in you the hope of Glory .    Jesus was the first fruit
Jhn 14:18 ASV - I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.
Jhn 14:19 ASV - Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Jhn 14:20 ASV - In that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Jhn 14:21 ASV - He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.
Jhn 14:22 ASV - Judas (not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, what is come to pass that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
Jhn 14:23 ASV - Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
1Co 15:20 ASV - But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.
1Co 15:23 ASV - But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his coming.
Jas 1:18 ASV - Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Rev 14:4 ASV - These are they that were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they that follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, to be the firstfruits unto God and unto the Lamb.       Defiled Greek: moluno
Defile, Defilement:
properly denotes "to besmear," as with mud or filth, "to befoul." It is used in the figurative sense, of a conscience "defiled" by sin, 1Cr 8:7; of believers who have kept themselves (their "garments") from "defilement," Rev 3:4, and those who have not "soiled" themselves by adultery or fornication, Rev 14:4.     Who have not soiled themselves ,   Speaking of the bride of Christ the elect holy and pure .  Having not spot or wrinkle on their garments.
Defiled with women it is more that adultery as the consensuses of the everyday church  .    Adultery is a work of mans flesh .      Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,    idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,    envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.   All of these sins will defile our hearts and bring judgement upon us.    The woman here is the apostate church and the preaching of another gospel .   Man and his inability to conform to Gods word the true gospel .   The church today has no cross to bear no need for death to self  no clean fear of God   .  Romans 6   and the separation of the flesh and the spirit .
Gal 5:22 ASV - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 ASV - meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 ASV - And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
Gal 5:25 ASV - If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.

Rev 16:15 ASV - (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.)      Garment    Greek: himation   Vesture:
"an outer garment," is rendered "vesture" in Rev 19:13, 16, AV
Rev 19:7 ASV - Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 ASV - And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright and pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Rev 19:9 ASV - And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they that are bidden to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are true words of God.
Remember the man at the wedding feast of the son
Mat 22:10 ASV - And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was filled with guests.   Gods calling in our life's to come walk before him in holiness and righteousness.
Mat 22:11 ASV - But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:    Now what the King saw was that this man was fleshly he was soiled and spotted with the world .  His life was indicative of the world and its lust .  He was still living in his corruptible flesh.
1Co 15:48 ASV - As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
1Co 15:49 ASV - And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Co 15:50 ASV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:52 ASV - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.     That flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption
1Co 15:53 ASV - For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
This parable is at the end of all things .      And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright and pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.     Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.     She has made herself ready ,  taking up her cross and following the words of Christ .  Working out her own salvation with fear and trembling .     That is you and I

Phl 3:18 ASV - For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Phl 3:19 ASV - whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
Phl 3:20 ASV - For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Phl 3:21 ASV - who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.      Luke 24:35 -53
1Co 15:52 ASV - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 ASV - For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 ASV - But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 ASV - O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?
1Co 15:56 ASV - The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law:
