Deu 30:19 Therefore choose life, That thou mayest live, thou and thy seed;
Jhn 10:17 ASV - Therefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. Jesus saw his cross at a far distance and with every day it came closer. In the three years of his life on this earth he also told his children of a cross they shall bare . You will not hear much of a cross even the cross in the organized church today. Mat 10:38 ASV - And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me. Many commandants Jesus made in his journey to his cross his word is still true . He spoke of a promise of eternal life but there was a requirement of you and I to obey . Die to self put to death our carnal man , Jesus said not my will oh lord but your will be done. Jesus speaks of a door everyone of his sheep must go through to enter into that eternal life. Jesus said I not only give you life eternal but I give it to you more abundantly. His death his burial and his resurrection , this is the requirement we must complete our-self's.
Rom 6:3 ASV - Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Water baptism is not some formality of mans religion that they have determined to become a member of Gods church . Just has no meaning at all to the church today . It is the most important thing a man must do , Repent and be Baptized every one of YOU and you in the name of Jesus and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost . This is the promise of the father Jesus spoke of that was hinged upon his death burial and resurrection
Water baptism is to die to your carnal life and resurrecting to newness of life in Christ Jesus
Mankind is born of Adams loins and Adam and all his offspring are under the curse of disobedience to Gods word . Gen 3:17 ASV - And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 1Co 15:22 ASV - For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:45 ASV - So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 2Co 5:19 ASV - to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Reconciliation Greek: katallasso Reconcile, Reconciliation:
properly denotes "to change, exchange" (especially of money); hence, of persons, "to change from enmity to friendship, to reconcile." With regard to the relationship between God and man, the use of this and connected words shows that primarily "reconciliation" is what God accomplishes, exercising His grace towards sinful man on the ground of the death of Christ in propitiatory sacrifice under the judgment due to sin, 2Cr 5:19, where both the verb and the noun are used (cp. No. 2, in Col 1:21). By reason of this men in their sinful condition and alienation from God are invited to be "reconciled" to Him; that is to say, to change their attitude, and accept the provision God had made, whereby their sins can be remitted and they themselves be justified in His sight in Christ. The first Adam failed in his plan of God . Jesus the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Rom 6:4 ASV - We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 ASV - For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection;
Rom 6:6 ASV - knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;
Rom 6:7 ASV - for he that hath died is justified from sin. Love not the world nor the things in the world .
Jhn 10:18 ASV - No one taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment received I from my Father.
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up from some other place, that one is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep [the protector and provider]. 3 The doorkeeper opens [the gate] for this man, and the sheep hear his voice and pay attention to it. And [knowing that they listen] he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out [to pasture]. 4 When he has brought all his own sheep outside, he walks on ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call. 5 They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech with them, but they did not understand what He was talking about.
John 10 : 7 AMP So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am the Door for the sheep [leading to life]. 8 All who came before Me [as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders] are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
Phl 3:8 ASV - Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ, Rom 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Obedience to Gods word will renew our carnal minds and transform us into the mind of Christ .
Phl 3:9 ASV - and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:
Phl 3:10 ASV - that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death; Conformed Greek: summorphizo
Conformed, Conformable:
"to make of like form with another person or thing, to render like" (sun, "with," morphe, "a form"), is found in Phl 3:10 (in the Passive Participle of the verb), "becoming conformed" (or "growing into conformity") to the death of Christ, indicating the practical apprehension of the death of the carnal self, and fulfilling his share of the sufferings following upon the sufferings of Christ. Some texts have the alternative verb summorphoo, which has practically the same meaning. Rom 12 uses the word fashioned , We cannot serve two masters love one and hate the other . Love the word For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vainglory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Luk 13:24 ASV - Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luk 13:25 ASV - When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are; Whence of origin or source: from what author or giver . Jesus is saying I do not recognize you from what household were you born of . But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. We must have a true relationship with Jesus we must conform our life unto his . This is what he is saying if you are born of my father I will know you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go, ye know the way. He is saying pick up your cross and follow me he has given us this precious word of truth it will conform us into that son of God . Salvation is a life's journey it is Gods grace we all need . A daily renewing of life with Jesus he said my sheep know my voice they hear me . And whither I go, ye know the way. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way? Jesus is going to his cross he is going to prepare a place for you and I , In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Heb 12:14 ASV - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord: Sanctification Greek: hagiasmos Holiness, Holy, Holily: the resultant state, the conduct befitting those so separated, 1Th 4:3, 4, 7, and the four other places mentioned above. "Sanctification" is thus the state predetermined by God for believers, into which in grace He calls them, and in which they begin their Christian course and so pursue it. Hence they are called "saints" (hagioi). We are saved by Grace and Grace is Gods benefits the power to become holy and separate from this world .
Luk 13:26 ASV - then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;
Luk 13:27 ASV - and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Mat 25:10 ASV - And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11 ASV - Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Mat 25:12 ASV - But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Mat 7:21 ASV - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 ASV - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
Mat 7:23 ASV - And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Iniquity Lawlessness 1Jo 3:4, the RV adheres to the real meaning of the word, "every one that doeth sin (a practice, not the committal of an act) doeth also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness." This definition of sin sets forth its essential character as the rejection of the law, or will, of God and the substitution of the will of self.
So we see here that the ones that Jesus said to depart from him are the ones in 1John 3 , children do not be deceived God will not dwell in sin . This is speaking of people in the church today using the gifts of God but they have willful sin in their life's . Jesus says that his father will not abide in a lawless person , sin is lawlessness .
Luk 10:17 ASV - And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name. In his name the Character the nature and all authority all that his name implies.
Luk 10:19 ASV - Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you. Tread to advance by setting foot upon, tread upon: to encounter successfully the greatest perils from the machinations and persecutions with which Satan would fain thwart the preaching of the gospel
Luk 10:20 ASV - Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Gods children must realize that willful sin will keep you out of Gods kingdom . 1John 3 Every one that doeth sin doeth also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. And ye know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither knoweth him. My little children, let no man lead you astray: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous: he that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Mat 7:26 ASV - And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 ASV - and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.
Being able to manifest the gifts of God are an absolute , but they will not get you in to heaven . The scripture above proves it , And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Jhn 1:12-13 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Everything of Adam still living in you must die you must take on the incorruptible seed of Gods word Christ in you the hope of Glory. this verse is speaking about what Jesus is saying below , except you die to self and be born anew .
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God .
1Jo 2:1 ASV - My little children, these things write I unto you that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jo 1:9 ASV - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Phl 3:11 ASV - if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.
