Rom 1:18 ASV - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Psa 119:160 ASV - The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances [endureth] for ever. The word christian is in the bible two times both are used to identify someone who follows Christ, to be Christ like.The disciples never use that word for themselves. The word says that God called us to become sons of God,to be like Jesus in every way. Its more than being a christian that's why the world uses it so flippantly, any one can say they are a christian but do they really know Jesus. I am writing this in relation to a story .To be a christian is to be like Christ, The scripture tells it all, either you believe the whole word of God or you don't, but to lie about it is a deception. We must see judgment coming upon America for all the sins,from hollywood to the laws of our land being changed to accommodate lawless men and to murder children so someone can continue their sinful life styles. John had to come before Jesus, he came preaching REPENTANCE, that people would be sorry for their sins. Mar 1:4 ASV - John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins. Unless a man repents he can not come unto Jesus, the word says a man must first believe that God is before he can come unto him. Do you think repentance is preached in the church .No they say God is a loving God.True! but it also says 2Cr 7:10 ASV - For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, [a repentance] which bringeth no regret: but the SORROW of the world worketh death. Thats why people go down front every time they have an altar call, There is never a Godly sorrow in there heart. Also the altar in most churches today are man made traditions the altar we fall on is in our hearts, its Christ the rock we fall on, not a wooden bench, to repent is to change ones heart ones mind, to turn and go the way of righteousness. The gospel is not preached, people are not taught to read the word and study the gospel and its truth. And also apostates teach traditions of their fathers whats has been taught in the organized religions of today,except Jesus as your personal savior,come to Jesus and confess this prayer and there, its done your are saved.Is that what the book of Acts says in Acts 2;38 WHEN ASKED WHAT MUST WE DO TO BE SAVED. The truth of the scripture is evident in that Peter said to repent, Mar 2:17 KJV - When Jesus heard [it], he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Act 26:20 KJV - But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and [then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. The organized worldly church has made of no effect the word of God ,the true Gospel. And after John died Jesus began to proclaim the Gospel the good news, Mar 1:14 ASV - Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,
Mar 1:15 ASV - and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel. Jhn 1:29 ASV - On the morrow he seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world! Only Jesus can take away sin and only his blood can wash us clean. They call them hell fire and damnation preachers what do you think John the baptist was. John was killed by Herod for his convicting word upon Herod taking his brothers wife. The time has come that men called of God will stand up with power and strength of the Holy Ghost,and will bring the same word that John the baptist brought. SIN IS SIN IS SIN,and sin will separate you from God, Hbr 10:26 ASV - For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins, Rom 6:9 ASV - knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.
Rom 6:10 ASV - For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Rom 6:11 ASV - Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.
Rom 6:12 ASV - Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:
The problem with the church today is that it condones sin, it lets sin in and does not confront it. Paul made people leave the new testament church because sin was in their life, it says he turned them over to the devil for the destruction of their flesh . A little leaven will leaven the whole lump. What do you think people would say if the pastor called out a person who is in sin. and they are not repentant, and not dealing with their sin, according to the word. The pastor or the men in charge they should go to this person and give them a word to repent, and if they refuse you cast them out of the church. Jam 5:16 ASV - Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working. 1Jo 1:9 ASV - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Its about the heart and there is coming a time when God is going to separate the sheep from the goats. Psa 51:17 ASV - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psa 34:18 ASV - Jehovah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit. Mat 3:7 KJV - But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Mat 3:8 KJV - Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mat 3:9 KJV - And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Mat 3:10 KJV - And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. This is the Gospel according TO Jesus
Mat 3:11 KJV - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire: Mat 3:13 KJV - Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. Than comes Jesus after John The word says to repent be baptized in the name of Jesus and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Without repentance a broken heart before God A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. The word says that we be not found naked at his coming, having on a robe of righteousness . My last word is, just because the world believes it does not mean it is true. Matt 7:13 "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell* is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way. But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it. Hbr 12:14 ASV - Follow after peace with all men, and the Sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord: Sanctified is to be set apart, love not the world nor the things there of.
The door is open hear his voice to you and obey, receive his word in your heart for it has the power to save your souls. 2Ti 2:4 KJV - No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. This world is dieing ,and we must live unto God and come out completely into his light and serve him with our hearts.
