The Light Of Men

Jhn 1:4 ASV - In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Jhn 1:5 ASV - And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.

Light, Noun, and Verb (Bring To, Give), Lighten:
akin to phao, "to give light" (from roots pha--, and phan--, expressing "light as seen by the eye," and, metaphorically, as "reaching the mind," whence phaino, "to make to appear," phaneros, "evident," etc.); cp. Eng., "phosphorus" (lit., "light-bearing"). "Primarily light is a luminous emanation, probably of force, from certain bodies, which enables the eye to discern form and color. Light requires an organ adapted for its reception (Mat 6:22). Where the eye is absent, or where it has become impaired from any cause, light is useless. Man, naturally, is incapable of receiving spiritual light inasmuch as he lacks the capacity for spiritual things, 1Cr 2:14. Hence believers are called 'sons of light,' Luk 16:8, not merely because they have received a revelation from God, but because in the New Birth they have received the spiritual capacity for it.
God is light because light has the extremely delicate, subtle, pure, brilliant quality
of truth and its knowledge, together with the spiritual purity associated with it
the power of understanding esp. moral and spiritual truth

Phl 2:15 ASV - that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,
Jas 1:17 ASV - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.



Luk 15:2 ASV - And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
Luk 15:7 ASV - I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.
Luk 15:8 ASV - Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?
Luk 15:9 ASV - And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Luk 15:10 ASV - Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.            Silver a type and shadow of Christ . Silver means redemption the blood of Christ and the price of a soul.

 TEN: Perfection of divine order      Act 1:8 ASV - But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Many parables have the number ten
    Have you received this power ! the bible says that with this experience you are sealed for the day of redemption . No this did not die with Apostles it was the beginning of the New Testament church .  And EVERY ONE that believed on his name gave he the right to become children of God . Name Onoma in the Greek   for all that a "name" implies, of authority, character, rank, majesty, power, excellence, etc., of everything that the "name" covers:  representing the authority of Christ, e.g., Mat 18:5 (with epi, "on the ground of My authority"); so Mat 24:5 (falsely) and parallel passages; as substantiated by the Father, Jhn 14:26; 16:23  in the power of .
 Mar 16:16 ASV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.
Mar 16:17 ASV - And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 ASV - they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
This is the sealing of our redemption to walk in his spirit and manifest the power he has given us through the cross . Its is not just saying the name of Jesus there are many people named Jesus and the devil knows who is of God.   Only the son of God can redeem you ! it is walking and confessing the power of his name . Jesus said he came in his fathers name , the power and authority of his father and he has given us that right to walk in the fulness of his name .       Luk 10:19 ASV - Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.    This is to you ! do you believe this promise ? are you walking in this truth.   The world is going into great darkness Matt 24 is coming Jesus said it would happen.  The church is being overwhelmed with fleshly compromise and greed , obeying another gospel .This word was true when Jesus spoke it than and it will be true when we all stand before him in that day.
 Jhn 12:47 ASV - And if any man hear my sayings, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Jhn 12:48 ASV - He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day.  We all will answer to the word of God it is the plumb line of God .  If our life's are straight and up right with his word, Jesus is the corner stone that is laid by God  .     Isa 28:16 ASV - therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner -stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.
1Pe 2:6 ASV - Because it is contained in scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
Psa 118:22 ASV - The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner.



 Jhn 12:46 ASV - I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me may not abide in the darkness.

Act 19:13 ASV - But certain also of the strolling Jews, exorcists, took upon them to name over them that had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Act 19:14 ASV - And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, a chief priest, who did this.
Act 19:15 ASV - And the evil spirit answered and said unto them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye?
Act 19:16 ASV - And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and mastered both of them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Why seven sons the number seven Gods perfect number .   The number seven is perfection and that is what this word is about Gods perfection in you the hope of glory.  No these men had heard or might have even seen this at a distance , the power of that name . But with out Godly sorrow and true repentance and the in filling of Gods spirit you will watch from a distance and not become sons of God.   Mar 16:17

 I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth   . And this parable is about having power over all power of satan , and evil spirits dealing with the demonic powers.   Eph 3:9 ASV - and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things;
Eph 3:10 ASV - to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Eph 6:12 ASV - For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.   Do you see the separation of spirit and flesh here , I tell you those who believe are living in a spiritual world now ! the flesh profits nothing and your flesh is an enemy of the Holy Ghost    It is not saying the name that will save you it having the name in you the power and authority of Christ in you . That is why the word says Rom 8:9 ASV - But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.   The called ,chosen and faithful  . Satan knows who is a child of God and walks in the power of the name of Jesus he has to obey in my name they Shall cast out devils .

Jhn 14:2 ASV - In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.  To prepare a place ? he is going to his cross to fulfill his mission on this earth for you and I . Jesus said my meat is to do the will of my father.   You must see this in the spirit God has a wonderful plan for you. 

Greek: oikia  House:
metaphorically, the heavenly abode, spoken of by the Lord as "My Father's house," Jhn 14:2, the eternal dwelling place of believers; the body as the dwelling place of the soul, 2Cr 5:1; similarly the resurrection body of believers (id.); property, e.g., Mar 12:40; by metonymy, the inhabitants of a house, a household, e.g., Mat 12:25; Jhn 4:53; 1Cr 16:15.
The fathers house is in you you are the temple of the Holy Ghost its the abiding of the father in you by his spirit.

And the word   Mansions  Greek: mone

Abide, Abode:
"an abode" (akin to No. 1), is found in Jhn 14:2, "mansions" (RV marg., "abiding places"), and Jhn 14:23, "abode."
You are the mansions ! it is Christ in you the hope of Glory .

 Col 1:25 ASV - whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you-ward, to fulfil the word of God,
Col 1:26 ASV - even the MYSTERY which hath been hid for ages and generations:
 Col 1:27 ASV - to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1Jo 2:24 ASV - As for you, let that abide in you which ye heard from the beginning. If that which ye heard from the beginning abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.
     
 Greek: musterion  Mystery:     Christ, who is God Himself revealed under the conditions of human life, Col 2:2; 4:3, and submitting even to death, 1Cr 2:1 (in some mss., for marturion, testimony), 7, but raised from among the dead, 1Ti 3:16, that the will of God to co-ordinate the universe in Him, and subject it to Him, might in due time be accomplished, Eph 1:9 (cp. Rev 10:7), as is declared in the gospel, Rom 16:25; Eph 6:19;

(c) the Church, which is Christ's Body, i.e., the union of redeemed men with God in Christ, Eph 5:32 (cp. Col 1:27);

(d) the rapture into the presence of Christ of those members of the Church which is His Body who shall be alive on the earth at His Parousia, 1Cr 15:51;

You want to know the will of God is in your life ? its in his word the father revels himself in his word .
And the understanding of his word comes through obedience to his word , Jesus knows who you are he is with you now he is no stranger to your problems as you seek him ,      Jhn 14:16 ASV - And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever,
Jhn 14:17 ASV - even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.
Jhn 14:18 ASV - I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.
You must be broken and repent he will not cast you out       Psa 51:17 ASV - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psa 34:18 ASV - Jehovah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.    This is your day and your answer Luk 11:13 ASV - If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?   

I want to tell you of a dream I received shortly after I was filled with the Holy Ghost , King James
interprets  it as the Holy Ghost The spirit   Greek: pneuma  Spirit:
primarily denotes "the wind" (akin to pneo, "to breathe, blow"); also "breath;" then, especially "the spirit," which, like the wind, is invisible, immaterial and powerful. The NT uses of the word may be analyzed approximately as follows:  Spirit Greek: pneuma  This is the wind Jesus spoke to Nicodemus about .

About forty five years ago I was a young man lost in the world , I did not know the word nor who Jesus was .  Today  Isaiah 61 always come to my mind when I recall those days. Living in darkness lock in a prison of my flesh Blind to my condition , and lastly the word bruised . To them that are bruised
Luk 4:18 ASV - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,  the  word Bruised Greek: thrauo
Bruise:
"to smite through, shatter," is used in Luk 4:18, "them that are bruised," i.e., broken by calamity.
today is your day this light of God word will set you free ,  I have seen many people go through life believing that was all there is there lot in life . And struggle through life not knowing there is great hope salvation in Jesus ,  healing beyond words. He can do it because the word says that he was bruised  .    Isa 53:5 ASV - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  This word Healed is the word for saved also . Saved in Greek: sozo
Heal, Healing:
"to save," is translated by the verb "to heal" in the AV of Mar 5:23; Luk 8:36 (RV, "to make whole;" so AV frequently); the idea is that of saving from disease and its effects.  Jesus said what is impossible with man is possible with God.

You must see the grace of this verse the power of his love for you , because he first love you before you even knew him .  Every man living on this earth without Christ is still living in Luke 4:18.
 You must be filled with Gods spirit to overcome , 

Some time after I was filled with the Holy Ghost( about forty five years ago) I had a dream and it was in color and very real to me.   I dreamed I was in a place like a large stadium or sporting event of some kind . It was filled to capacity many people were there and there was this anticipation of something about to happen . The people were talking but very quietly you could here them softly speaking to each other.  The people were waiting for something to happen at any moment.   Looked across to the other side I could see many people all over the stadium.  When I looked down to the field I could see about four or five people setting on a small platform . When a man came off the platform and walk out on the field . He raised his hands and towards the other side of the field and the people began to shout and praise the Lord . He than slowly turned towards my side of the field and as he turned you could see he was full of light . His eyes were full light bright lights and as he would open his mouth you could see light emit from his mouth . The outline of his body or flesh was dark but inside he was full of light. It has taken many years to understand what this dream was about and it was the Lord reveling his glory his plan to all man kind .

Mat 6:22 ASV - The lamp of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Luk 11:34 ASV - The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
   Greek: ophthalmos Eye:  the eye metaph. the eyes of the mind, the faculty of knowing

Jhn 1:9 ASV - There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.
Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jhn 1:13 ASV - who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
