A Sure Foundation

Isa 28:16 ASV - therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner -stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.




Eph 3:10 ASV - to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God, Manifold Greek: polupoikilos    Manifold:
"much varied" (polus, "much," and No. 1), is said of the wisdom of God, in Eph 3:10.
much variegated, marked with a great variety of colours of cloth or a painting .
The wisdom of God is made known though his people the body of Christ ,   not one man or a select group of people no its the whole church ministering to each other , agreeing with each other in the power of Gods holy spirit .   Eph 5:19 ASV - speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 ASV - giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

Every child of God has a place in his kingdom , Eph 4:11 ASV - And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 ASV - for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 ASV - till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
1Co 12:26 ASV - And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1Co 12:27 ASV - Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.
1Co 12:28 ASV - And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, divers kinds of tongues.
1Co 12:29 ASV - Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1Co 12:30 ASV - have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1Co 12:31 ASV - But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.
You know Jesus said he came to serve not to be served ,  the more excellent way is Love to love your brother as your self.   Jesus at the time of the passover  Jhn 13:2 ASV - And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him,
Jhn 13:4 ASV - riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments; and he took a towel, and girded himself.
Jhn 13:5 ASV - Then he poureth water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.   Even Judas the one who will betray him shortly , Jesus washed the feet of Judas and it was love that he was showing to his disciples .   The word of God speaks to us every day and we must obey it .  1Th 5:23 ASV - And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 Eph 5:21 ASV - subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ .  Jesus being the chief Sheppard of his church .  Eph 4:11 ASV - And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 ASV - for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:  Notice the word perfecting of the saints , unto the building up of the body of Christ .  Their are many more gifts in the church with the five above and they all work together in the perfecting of the people of God.
Eph 4:13 ASV - till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:


Mat 13:35 ASV - that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.
Mat 25:34 ASV - Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Jhn 17:24 ASV - Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Eph 1:4 ASV - even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love:   Foundation   Greek: katabole

Foundation (To Lay), Founded:
lit., "a casting down," is used

(a) of "conceiving seed," Hbr 11:11;

(b) of "a foundation," as that which is laid down, or in the sense of founding; metaphorically, of "the foundation of the world;" in this respect two phrases are used,

(1) "from the foundation of the world," Mat 25:34   Luk 11:50; Hbr 4:3; 9:26; Rev 13:8; 17:8;     the injection or depositing of the virile semen in the womb , of the seed of plants and animals
a founding (laying down a foundation) .    
Mat 13:37 ASV - And he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Jhn 12:24 ASV - Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit.
Mat 13:23 ASV - And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.     We see how the word of God is the foundation of our life's it is the foundation of the world ! God spoke it and and it appeared.  I am speaking to you that have a hunger and a thirst for truth . Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled .  Because to you it hath been granted in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf:   Saved by grace a GIFT of faith many are called but few are chosen .   Above the verses speak of Gods foundation the only foundation that will withstand the floods of the coming judgement . And it refers to the foundation as a seed

Jesus said unless a seed fall into the ground and die it remains alone it will bear no fruit .
The fruit of the spirit and the works of the flesh ,  The only way we can bear fruit of Gods spirit is to die to self and let this word build the foundation of the life of Christ in us .    Jhn 14:10 ASV - Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.    Mat 16:6 ASV - And Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.   Greek: zume Leaven  metaphorically  of corrupt doctrine, Mat 13:33; Luk 13:21, of error as mixed with the truth (there is no valid reason for regarding the symbol here differently from its application elsewhere in the NT); Mat 16:6, 11; Mar 8:15 (1st part); Luk 12:1; that the kingdom of heaven is likened to "leaven," does not mean that the kingdom is "leaven." The same statement, as made in other parables, shows that it is the whole parable which constitutes the similitude of the kingdom; the history of Christendom confirms the fact that the pure meal of the doctrine of Christ has been adulterated with error; Leaven is applied to that substance which is small in quantity, yet thoroughly pervades a thing by its influence.    Jhn 6:65 ASV - And he said, For this cause have I said unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it be given unto him of the Father.
Jhn 6:66 ASV - Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Jhn 6:67 ASV - Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away?
Jhn 6:68 ASV - Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
2Co 1:22 ASV - who also sealed us, and gave us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Eph 1:13 ASV - in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,-- in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

ownership and security, together with destination, Rev 7:3-5 (as with the noun in ver. 2; see A); the same three indications are conveyed in Eph 1:13, in the metaphor of the "sealing" of believers by the gift of the Holy Spirit, upon believing (i.e., at the time of their regeneration, not after a lapse of time in their spiritual life, "having also believed," not as AV, "after that ye believed;" the aorist participle marks the definiteness and completeness of the act of faith); the idea of destination is stressed by the phrase "the Holy Spirit of promise" (see also Eph 1:14); so Eph 4:30, "ye were sealed unto the day of redemption;" so in 2Cr 1:22, where the Middle Voice intimates the special interest of the Sealer in His act;    The bad seed or another gospel than that of Christ ,  is that this truth is not preached to the people of God . Jesus said you MUST be born again not of the flesh but of the spirit ,  the great event in the book of Acts
 Act 2:4 ASV - And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.   There is a baptism of the spirit for you today it did not die with the disciples it is all through the new testament men and women being filled , FILLED with this wonderful gift of Gods spirit .  When he the spirit of truth has come he will guide you into all truth
in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,-- in whom, having also believed, ye were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Phl 1:27 ASV - Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you and be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel;
Phl 1:28 ASV - and in nothing affrighted by the adversaries: which is for them an evident token of perdition, but of your salvation, and that from God;
Phl 1:29 ASV - because to you it hath been granted in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf:
