Phl 3:10 that I may know him !

Luk 13:34 ASV - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen [gathereth] her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Here is a parable of Gods love to his people  Jesus compares it to a mother hen and her  chicks. If you have ever been around farm animals especially chickens. A mother hen will defend her young without reason, in other words she will fight off another animal a predator seeking to devour her young. And size does not matter she will defend unto death.  This is just one of many parables about how the Lord will protect  his children.   Also in the coldest times of winter she will set and open her wings and her babies will run under her wings for warmth.  And with her Love and care they will survive. So it is with Fathers Love

Exd 19:4 ASV - Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

Rth 2:12 ASV - Jehovah recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of Jehovah, the God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to take refuge.

Psa 36:7 ASV - How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.

Psa 63:7 ASV - For thou hast been my help, And in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Psa 68:13 ASV - When ye lie among the sheepfolds, [It is as] the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her pinions with yellow gold.

Mat 23:37 ASV - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!     As we see in this verse above the first thing is  Jerusalem = "set ye double peace"      I can see two Jerusalem's here the one that is now and the one to come the new Jerusalem, zion or the bride.    Rev 21:2 ASV - And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven of God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

4) "the heavenly Jerusalem", that is the heavenly abode of God, Christ, the angels, saints of the Old and New Testament periods and those Christians that are alive at Christ's return

5) "the New Jerusalem", a splendid visible city to be let down from heaven after the renovation of the world, the future abode of the blessed

  Prophets   Greek: prophetes

Prophet:

"one who speaks forth or openly" (see PROPHECY, A), "a proclaimer of a divine message," denoted among the Greeks an interpreter of the oracles of the gods.

In the Sept. it is the translation of the word roeh, "a seer;" 1Sa 9:9, indicating that the "prophet" was one who had immediate intercourse with God. It also translates the word nabhi, meaning "either one in whom the message from God springs forth" or "one to whom anything is secretly communicated." Hence, in general, "the prophet" was one upon whom the Spirit of God rested, Num 11:17-29, one, to whom and through whom God speaks, Num 12:2; Amo 3:7, 8. In the case of the OT prophets their messages were very largely the proclamation of the Divine purposes of salvation and glory to be accomplished in the future; the "prophesying" of the NT "prophets" was both a preaching of the Divine counsels of grace already accomplished and the foretelling of the purposes of God in the future.

When God sent correction to his people and the prophet exposed things hidden , men were enraged at the word of God and the person bringing it. And with Jesus it was the same situation he convicted them of there sin,  apostate sin.   Apostate is not following the teachings of the apostles in the new testament, Paul   Gal 1:8 ASV - But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.    How can this be and who could stand against God the word christian itself means follower of Christ. . We can read in  Num 16:1 ASV - Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took [men]:

Num 16:2 ASV - and they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the congregation, called to the assembly, men of renown;

Num 16:3 ASV - and they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and Jehovah is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the assembly of Jehovah?    Pride blinds people they lose sight  spiritual sight of there walk with God .  He is proclaiming righteousness in the face of his rebellion  Pro 16:18 ASV - Pride [goeth] before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

These men were gifted in ministry to Gods people . They had a place in this body of people.
Remember Aaron's sons in the day they offered the first sacrifice unto God. Lev 9:23 ASV - And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of Jehovah appeared unto all the people.
Lev 9:24 ASV - And there came forth fire from before Jehovah, and consumed upon the altar the burnt-offering and the fat: and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.    Lev 10:1 ASV - And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer, and put fire therein, and laid incense thereon, and offered strange fire before Jehovah, which he had not commanded them.
Lev 10:2 ASV - And there came forth fire from before Jehovah, and devoured them, and they died before Jehovah.
It says strange fire ,    there is an order a commandment of God to his people , build your house upon the rock ! Jesus Christ there is no other way unto God except through Christ Jesus .  There are people building in the sand and than those that go down to bed rock building according to Gods word.
The old testament is a shadow a copy of the true the real house of God. And there is no other way into his kingdom but through sanctification and obedience to his word.

I see one as the leader of the rebellion and he had a problem with authority. Receiving instruction and mandatory commands from God to Moses. And he met secretly with the others and incited them to rebel also  ( back biting and gossiping speaking evil of your brothers).     Jesus said a house divided against itself will not stand.   The sole purpose of rebellion is to destroy Gods order.    Moses had been faithful in this wilderness walk with the children of God.   If you will remember he was reluctant to except this work.  In the church of the saints people are rebellious for two reasons one is to bring tribulation to the true saints , it is God teaching his people to have mercy and grace for these rebellious people in hopes they will change.  And it will teach the true saints that obey and endure, to have mercy and be long suffering to the weak. Yet It also expose's the true motive of satan,  if people refuse to change if they are intent to disrupt and tear down the body of Gods people than they will be removed.   Paul said if they refuse to listen bring it before the whole church.

1Jo 2:19 ASV - They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us.   Jesus said to love your enemy do good to those that abuse you and speak evil of you, lend if they ask and love them.       Luk 6:35 ASV - But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.    This is the test,      the worldly church would have ran them out quickly, not concerned at all about their soul or seeing the fullness of Gods word at work  .  I have seen people in my life whose intent and propose was to put me through great trouble speaking evil and not knowing why.   I know why because the devil came to kill steal and destroy.   Jesus said they hated me without a cause.   They hate without reason have you ever heard the saying the devil made me do it.  It was a few years that I struggled with this in the church,   1Pe 2:3 ASV - if ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious:
1Pe 2:4 ASV - unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,
1Pe 2:5 ASV - ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.   ( I was told long ago from an old saint that this verse to him was like we are like stones in a river rubbing and bumping together tumbling against each other in the water and eventually over time they become smooth and beautiful because of the contact the constant rubbing. )         I would pray for them and continue in what the word says about loving people . I will say I did not feel very loving at the time.  It was a great struggle and their was no way out but to endure.   One day a fellow who was very lost and had no love for me at all , cursing all the time he was very difficult, but after a few years one day at work he came up to me with a smile on his face. He said brother ( I step back a little at that" waiting for him to lambast me)  he said brother I have repented of my sins and Jesus is now in my heart , he was looking at me with a face of light and bright and smiling I could see the change. He said I have decided to leave this Job and go into ministry school. He shook my hand and left.  You know I never had one time that I could speak to him about the Lord,  not once. But yet he came to me to let me know of his conversion.  Sometimes its not what you say as much as how you live your life in front of people.  Your living talks as much as your mouth, the word says out of the heart the mouth speaks. The bible says be a doer of the word not a hearer.

Another person I work with he was a superintendent and he also was a very hard person. He would go out of his way to persecute me he even tried to get me fired one time . It was not true what he was claiming and  I was at his mercy I needed that job. Or should I say I was at the mercy of my fathers word working in me  , It says faithful is he who has called you and HE will do it.  If we obey this word of grace and stand firm without wavering it will do what it says it will do.   Remember the only time persecution comes is when we need it.             Believe me I had great anxious moments during those times.  My flesh would rise up and ask why ! and the word would say love your enemy's.  I am no where perfect my friend and there were times when I would just cry and weep over the injustice of these people.   Little did I know I was in training, I had been saved about a year and it was very hard but I endured because I loved Jesus and his word.     Luk 6:35 ASV - But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.     As I said one gentlemen out of the blue came and told me of his conversion. And the other the superintendent, after thirteen years I had a Job offer in another city. And I had been praying for this , and it came.  I believe it was the Lord telling me it was time to go to the next level of class training. But after some years later  I was settled in my new job . I get a call one morning and it was a voice from the past, it was the superintendent from my old job.  He was in town for a brief time and getting ready to leave for his home. He ask me if I remembered him, I said  oh yes I remember you and he laughed and said I just wanted to let you know I was saved last year. I have been thinking of you and decided to call you he was telling me of his conversion.  So we talked a little and that was the last I heard from him.   Once again Its not so much what you say its how you live your life in front of people.  And at that same work place I was able to bring more willing men to God. There was opportunity to speak the word and there was opportunity to just live it . But in it all  , it brought life to those Jesus loves its not about you its Christ in you the hope of Glory.    Days are coming my friend when the trials of our life will increase greatly and standing up for Gods word will take a lot of knocking down to prove your love for him .  The word says when you have done all to stand and the trials keep coming  than just stand!     It is a working of righteousness and sanctification in us.

Phl 3:8 ASV - Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,

Phl 3:9 ASV - and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, [even] that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

Phl 3:10 ASV - that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;

Phl 3:11 ASV - if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.

God knows who you are he knows your name all about you ,your weakness and your strong points. You as well as all people are in Gods plan called for a purpose, its a walk and we must endure. The word says God leaned over Adam and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils and Adam became a living soul. Now what we must see here is the soul of man will never die, Gods life in you will never die but you have a choice in this life to take hold of this word and stand by faith that it is a gift God gave you from the beginning.  As for the Armour of God in Eph 6     Eph 6:13 ASV - Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:14 ASV - Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Eph 6:15 ASV - and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16 ASV - withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil [one].

Eph 6:17 ASV - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Eph 6:18 ASV - with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

LOINS in the Greek

The place where the Hebrews thought the generative power resided , regenerative power of the flesh. But we are to bring souls to God regenerate sons to God having your loins girded

Breastplate  Greek: thorax

Breastplate:

primarily, "the breast," denotes "a breastplate or corselet," consisting of two parts and protecting the body on both sides, from the neck to the middle. It is used metaphorically of righteousness, Eph 6:14; of faith and love, 1Th 5:8, with perhaps a suggestion of the two parts, front and back, which formed the coat of mail (an alternative term for the word in the NT sense); elsewhere in Rev 9:9, 17.  The bible says with the Heart a man believes unto God , protecting your heart from the fiery darts.

Shod  Greek: hupodeo

Bind, Binding (See Also Bound):

hupo, "under," with No. 1, "to bind underneath," is used of binding of sandals, Act 12:8; rendered "shod" in Mar 6:9; Eph 6:15.    Col 2:6 ASV - As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk in him,
Shield  Greek: thureos

Shield:

formerly meant "a stone for closing the entrance of a cave;" then, "a shield," large and oblong, protecting every part of the soldier; the word is used metaphorically of faith, Eph 6:16, which the believer is to take up "in (en in the original) all" (all that has just been mentioned), i.e., as affecting the whole of his activities.   Love not the world nor the things thereof closing the door on this old life and living the life of Christ.  Romans 12:1-2

Helmet    Greek: perikephalaia

Helmet:

from peri, "around," and kephale, "a head," is used figuratively in Eph 6:17, with reference to salvation, and 1Th 5:8, where it is described as "the hope of salvation." The head is not to be regarded here as standing for the seat of the intellect; the word is not so used elsewhere in Scripture. In Eph 6:17 salvation is a present experience of the Lord's deliverance of believers as those who are engaged in spiritual conflict; in 1Th 5:8, the hope is that of the Lord's return, which encourages the believer to resist the spirit of the age in which he lives.

Rom 12:2 ASV - And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Tts 3:3 ASV - For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

Tts 3:4 ASV - But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared,

Tts 3:5 ASV - not by works [done] in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Tts 3:6 ASV - which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I said after reading this many times, I said Lord how do I renew my mind and almost at that moment it came back to me   by my word the Lord said by my word. And than it all clicked I said yes now I see.

Through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. The word of God washes us as we believe and seek him.

Mat 19:28 ASV - And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The word   Regeneration   Greek: palingenesia

Regeneration:

"new birth" (palin, "again," genesis, "birth"), is used of "spiritual regeneration," Tts 3:5, involving the communication of a new life, the two operating powers to produce which are "the word of truth," Jam 1:18; 1Pe 1:23, and the Holy Spirit, Jhn 3:5, 6; the loutron, "the laver, the washing," is explained in Eph 5:26, "having cleansed it by the washing (loutron) of water with the word."

In Mat 19:28 the word is used, in the Lord's discourse, in the wider sense, of the "restoration of all things" (Act 3:21, RV), when, as a result of the Second Advent of Christ, Jehovah "sets His King upon His holy hill of Zion" (Psa 2:6), and Israel, now in apostasy, is restored to its destined status, in the recognition and under the benign sovereignty of its Messiah. Thereby will be accomplished the deliverance of the world from the power and deception of Satan and from the despotic and anti-christian rulers of the nations. This restitution will not in the coming Millennial age be universally a return to the pristine condition of Edenic innocence previous to the Fall, but it will fulfill the establishment of God's Covenant with Abraham concerning his descendants, a veritable rebirth of the nation, involving the peace and prosperity of the Gentiles. That the worldwide subjection to the authority of Christ will not mean the entire banishment of evil, is clear from Rev 20:7, 8. Only in the new heavens and earth, "wherein dwelleth righteousness," will sin and evil be entirely absent.

Now we see why Jesus said to Nicodemus    Jhn 3:3 ASV - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jhn 3:5 ASV - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!   Jesus told them to stay in Jerusalem until they be fill with the spirit , Act 1:4 ASV - and, being assembled together with them, he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, [said he], ye heard from me:

Act 1:5 ASV - For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Your father is awesome he has a perfect plan and Christ is the foundation the stone of stumbling.

But we being children of God do not stumble over this great and glorious word we obey it.   Yes you were born on this earth just like myself  borne of the loins of Adam born of the curse of Adam.
Mat 13:23 ASV - And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Jhn 1:12 ASV - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

Jhn 1:13 ASV - Act 1:4 ASV - and, being assembled together with them, he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, [said he], ye heard from me:

Act 1:5 ASV - For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

Jhn 1:14 ASV - And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

Jhn 12:24 ASV - Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit.

Jhn 15:8 ASV - Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and [so] shall ye be my disciples.
Act 1:5 ASV - For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

Jhn 3:6 ASV - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Your father is awesome he has a perfect plan and Christ is the foundation,  the stone of stumbling.

But we being children of God do not stumble over this great and glorious word we obey it.   Yes you were born on this earth just like myself  born of the loins of Adam born of the curse of Adam.

Praise God he has a perfect plan for you Jesus is the sower sowing the seed of his fathers word in our hearts into the good ground.  And when the seed is sown into our flesh the earthy ,this old body ! it changes our spiritual DNA. We  become children of God
